So when I emailed evolv, they said that we (my wife & I) might be the first Darwin couple LOL. Anyone else here have a husband & wife Darwin team?
A VERY smart move! After spending tons of cash (though I still loved my Riva when I had it) I've finally found the one that I use every day, all day.
I really don't remember how I lived without variable wattage.
My wife got her Darwin yesterday. And immediately started girly-fying it by adding some shiny things on it LOL. Unfortunately we discovered a problem with her Darwin last night- the arm sometimes when you swing it to the off position, it doesn't turn off. Likewise when it is off, if the arm gets barely a nudge the screen turns on with the arm still in the off position. I have already emailed evolv about it, and I'm sure they will take care of us. Needless to say my wife is really bummed out that she will need to send it back already. But the problem doesn't render it un-usable. So for now she is happily vaping on it.
My wife and I both have darwins. At first she couldn't get over the looks of it. As she uses it, though, she appreciates its consistency more and more. She also likes not having to carry around spare batts. I, on the other hand, can't put my darwin down. All my other mods have become backups.
N2rock, would you share a pic of your wife's girly-fried Darwin? I'd love to see what she did.
Sorry, we didn't take any pictures. Once we realized it was going to need to go back to evolv, she removed all the "pink shiny things" LOL. As soon as we get the new Darwin, I'm sure she will start decorating it immediately. I'll be sure to post some pictures for you.
She is just doing that so you don't steal hers when you forget to charge yours. Man I hope you don't grab the wrong one running out the door one day. The guys would have a field day with all the girly bling bling on it when you pull it out.
I just wanted to let everyone know my recent experience with Evolve. I purchased the Darwin when it first came out. I think it's been close to a few months now. The last week or so when I would flip the arm up, sometimes it would not turn on. I would have to flip it up and down a few times and it would eventually work. I emailed Evolve letting them know. They responded within a few hours. I was told they would send a new one out, and to send back mine. Not only did they send me a replacement, but they overnighted it to me! Just wanted to share with the board how they went about and beyond. It cost them $18.00 to do so. If something else comes up, I'm going to kindly ask them to send it regular mail.![]()
For the folks reading this forum trying to decide on buying a Darwin or not, I want to share something else. Lately, a few of my atty's for some reason have lost some ohms. On another mod I use, I have no way of knowing until I get an error, or the atty starts getting hotter than normal. With the Darwin, it automatically changes the volts so I'm not using to many volts on a lower ohm atty. I might not sound like a big deal, but when you actually are using that feature, it really is a big deal. That along with the no hassle battery make this to me the PV to get.
Thanks for listening!
Let me guess....
Step 1: Attach atomizer
Step 2: Raise atomizer arm
Step 3: Select wattage
Step 4: Press power button
Step 5: Vape like research monkey

I approve this revision to the manual! Seriously not much more to say.
Congrats to all new Darwinians! Welcome to the family! Work's been a bear so I missed my favorite part of your initiation, Active Stalking Phase II. (Phase I is waiting for shipment to post to the USPS site. Phase II is when I feel sorry for mail carriers everywhere.) Actually just taking a break, trying to find a second - or third - wind to finish this !@#$. Saturday I'm going to brew the biggest cup of tea, line up a buncha attys and catch up on the goings on so PLEASE stay lively and enjoy!
