iball sorry to hear about your issues and rest assured both Drew and the folks at Evolv will make it right. I assume you are military and stationed somewhere in that huge kitty litter box in the middle east. If I can help with the juice issue just let me know. I can pretty much mix anything and if you let me know what you like I will ship some juice to you. All I need is your prefered PG/VG ratio, nic level and flavors and an address. Feel free to PM me and we can get you set up pretty quick. This really is not a big deal since I am sitting on 2.5 liters of 100mg/ml nic and have over 185 flavors at my disposal.

Gotta love the Ski-ster.

No, I close it slowly and it shuts off and then when it finally, SLOWLY clicks into place it turns on again. No amount of "rocking" turns it off.

iball, congrats first off on the D'win and welcome to the fam. Drew and Brandon both are fantastic as people and the CS they both provide surpasses most vendors. Whatever the problem is, it will be resolved and these bad moments and tastes will be just a gentle memory.

Sad pandas? LOL.

Got my charger issue resolved this morning, thanks to a helpful email! Thanks for the help everyone!

Hi David,
Any USB charger will work on the Darwin, we internally regulate current to the battery.. So any charger that is mini-USB will work.

Thanks,
Brandon

Yeah, I'm not too worried about the whole affair. These things take time.

Sad pandas? LOL.

Right now Sad Panda is in the corner cleaning his M4 and checking his mags.
Sad Panda is not easily amused - and unlike The Dude, Sad Panda does not abide.

Yes they do... but you'll be SUPER happy once you figure everything out... I promise!

Also, please dont shoot up the place... we're just a bunch of lowly vapers around here... If you'd like, I can get you the address for Evolv, Inc. HQ?

I figured it was regulated somehow but I didn't want to say anything in case I was wrong. Good deal though :D

I would be quite easily amused with an M4. I realize it's not for amusement but they are so damn sexy

Meh, I'm walking away from it for a while. Thanks for the tips folks.
Once i get resupplied with known good 555 juice I'll snag some new cartos and an adapter and try this again.

I know you said you are giving up, but what about just trying dripping for a bit? It really is a great device.

so this is going to sound super rookie (which I am) but I bought one of those VPX tanks and have literally no idea how to fill or use it.

anyone?

Literally I can see how it screws in and that is it. I do not understand how you vape from it or fill it?

I really have no idea because I don't have one yet but I am sure someone will pop in here any minute now and tell you exactly how to do it :D

Any news of a Darwin 2 coming out? Sent mine into Evolv to get fixed. This Rev 2.1 is interesting but not cutting it as a back up. Guess I have to save for another darwin. Just curious if anyone heard any rumors or knows anything. Thanks :p The only thing I would change about the darwin is to know when it is charging. Anyone mod there charger to tell them more of when the unit is put on. Or is everyone going by the charging light slightly dimming for a sec method like me?

I pretty much watch for the dimming unless I am charging from my pc. In that case, I will let it charge for a while and open the arm to see if the battery has gone up. I usually don't even bother because it always charges :)

AaronY, I have a Rev 2.1 for a backup, and when I am working outside and don't want to take Darwin. It worked much better after I took a hacksaw, and cut two of the air slots deeper/wider.

Nano, you said you hacksawed the air holes I don't see them. where are they? Also broke the needle a bit. Strange they don't have replacements included. Have you ever done that? Guess today is nopt my day. :( Life is not the same without a darwin.

Right where the atty/carto screws in, there are four tiny slots, in the top of the plastic collar. i have read of some using a Dremel, but that seems like it would be too sloppy with me using it. Remove the bottle/needle, dry it out as good as you can, and use the hacksaw, and gently pull it through there. I didn't cut even a 1/16" of an inch. Be sure to blow out/clean the little plastic chips you have generated.

There is a little inverted funnel up in there, to help guide the needle in. I insert it carefully, rotating it back and forth to help it find it's way. I also put a piece of Scotch tape down the side, leaving a little tail at the bottom. It helps to pull the bottle out. On a review/discussion thread about the Boge Rev 2.1 someone posted a link for a replacement needle/bottle assembly.
