Goodnite new Darwin Users, I have a couple more hours before I call it quits, its been fun.
I cant believe it!!! I have been ignoring the thread and My mailbox all day because I figured being in Tucson Arizona there was no way that it would get here today..... DOHHHHHHH its been here since midday and I was dumb enough not to check!!!! Ok I have to go now and vape my wonderful new Machine!!!!!

Excellent review, Cypresss! Thank you for being objective about it! I use 801 atties, and like how you showed them on the Darwin. Yea, it makes for a pretty long PV, however, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives (size)! Thank you so much for speaking plainly on how the Darwin works to us "electronically" handicapped vapers!I also like how you vaped using a 510 carto and produced phenomenal vapor! I use 510 cartos when I'm driving or out and about and they don't play very well w/my current PV (on a side note, how is the flavor when using a 510 carto?). The only detraction or draw-back I see on the Darwin is the soft (malleable) brass connector. That does scare me. But I'll just have to remember that I have to be gentle when I screw in my adapter or my 510 carto.

I love the Darwin with cartos. I used to mainly use 510 cartos @ 6v. I really liked that warm throat hit and big vapor. When I dial a carto of the same resistance in now on the Darwin, to get that same experience, I find that the actual voltage is quite a bit lower...like around 5.4-5.6v. It doesn't sound like much, but when you consider that fully charged 3v rcr123a's are actually at 3.6v (7.2v stacked), then there is a large gap. The last vape before charging feels the same as the first.
Does anyone know if when your items are delivered does the status on the usps tracking site changes to delivered or not?
I just got my Darwin today. I need some help with the brass activation button. Looking at the pictures on the web site it appears that there is at least a quarter of an inch of space beneath it. Mine is about one millimeter from being flush with the body. If I lay it on it’s side with the window facing me the button is angled down to the right and is flush there so that it will only work if I push the left hand side of the button. If I look at it from the other side the entire button is flush.
Since this is the first time I have seen a Darwin I’m not sure if this is the way it is supposed to be. It works but if my finger moves just a little the Darwin will quit firing.
Do you folks have more space under your button than I do? Thanks.

Sounds right to me SC, I'm looking at mine right now....well..er..vaping it. The button does angle downward to the right (from screen side), because I believe that is the button's axis or hinge point. So the "left" side of the button, closest to the connector is the best place to push.
Yeah, I was glad to see a nice full battery charge this morning and ready to roll for day two! I have a 45 minute commute and today was the most pleasant ride I've had in months. Nice hassle-free 8.5W vape the whole way. I appreciated the way the light shines through on the button and on the wheel in the dark. I do wish you could turn the display light off at times though. It's hard to be stealthy, rollin down the highway with this giant LCD screen lighting up my face! I'm gonna get pulled over as it is mistaken as a cell phone....I see it coming! I was gonna plug it in to my USB in the car, but I kinda want to see how the battery holds up all day today without any charging. I brought a big ziplock full of questionable attys that I am gonna go through one by one today during my quiet office time.

Ditto, Cuseguy. Ever since I kicked the minis aside I've only purchased PVs without LEDs. I'm considering making a stealth sleeve for it - something opaque and that can also serve to keep it from getting scratched when its in a case or in my purse (rare visits to either, I'm sure).
I'm also testing the charge today to see how long I can go before the power bar starts to move. So far still the same so I'll note the time when and if it gets to halfway.
Still lovin' it!
Well of course you are going to make yourself a sleeve....you're SewKnitty! lol You can really use any material since it puts out absolutely no heat like most mods do
Good news. Got hold of evolv. He actually is 10mins from me lol crazy. Very nice guy. He's sending a guy over to fix my dial
