BTW & FWIW, while am NOT a fan of goosenecks - I just got one to test my theory about dripping and leaking juice. Day one: not a drop leaking on the gooseneck and I have been dripping since it arrived at 1 PM. I use Joye 302 attys (801 style). I think gooseneck is completely sealed so we'll see over the next few days.

Also, FWIW, I have been dripping with my Darwin since I got it (you may recall my thread on the Latest Prototype - overview and first impressions) about a week or so before Darwin launched. I have never had juice on the brass atty connector. I have seen condensation, from vapor exiting the bottom airholes), but never actual juice.

Cuse - what is on your Darwin? Is that an extra long carto? model? how much juice does it hold? Flavor production compared to others?

Yes NB, that is a fluxomizer CE2XL. It is by far the best steel CE2XL I have ever used. It actually has ok flavor and none of the normal CE2 burny taste, pretty happy with them. I think they hold 1.8ml. They last quite a while.

Well Parma, my review after a few hours isn't quite as glowing...lol. They are serviceable and It is very early to draw any real conclusions. But I would be shocked if it became a goto for me at least. Sorry:( I don't like to be a downer like that, just being honest.
That was too funny! I was editing my post while you were replying to it. I had forgotten to mention that I was hoping the special atties would make them better.

Well, here's the thing Parm. My x atty died after an hour of 7.5w and I had to use regular attys and that kinda killed it for me. So maybe you will have better luck.

Krisb- vapestand.com or contact james hart on here....is it one word? Maybe...lol

3 hours later and I am wishing for some whistling. That might at least make it entertaining. But it just doesn't do enough to distinguish itself from any other atty/carto solution out there right now. Flavor is well....meh. If you like ego-t cart flavor, with that fine nuance of plastic, you might like it, maybe. Right now, my guess is fail. Don't waste your $13! However, I did get a mod in the mail that is worthwhile and beautiful! Vapestands!

Thanks for that honest review. Definitely saved me the effort. I'm gonna take a pass on these.

FWIW- I bought some 801 cartos from Drew and tried one out last night. They have a bit tighter draw than a 510 carto- but that makes sense because the inner tube is a bit smaller diameter. Also because the inner tube is smaller diameter, that means there is more filler to absorb juice, so it takes more juice to fill. The vapor is great, and loads of flavor. And after filling it, it just seemed to go and go and go. Definitely longer lasting than a 510. It will be interesting to see how many days of use I can get out of it before it becomes too hard to draw. If I can get 2 days from it, it will become my choice of cartos (over the 510).

I agree with you, NB. I've been mostly dripping for a week using 801 type atty's and have had no leakage around the arm of the Darwin. If someone is dripping and getting liquid around the arm, I think they might need to take the "Dripping 101" course.

I think the 801s hold a little more...I rarely(even in my most careless dripping spells) have 302 leak out...I have small bag of authentic Janty 302s that I found and they HUM at 9 to 10 watts...All the colored 801s I sell are actually Joye 302s also...I can drip up to 5 heavy drops without getting any leakage at all...

Thanks krisb, I wish I knew if it was possible to close the arm with it. I know we were told early on that it won't but still would like to hear it first hand from someone that actually tries it on a Darwin.

Haven't found info on that yet. Was very close to ordering a pk of three, but chose to wait. Right now I'm happy with what I have (except for not having a mini map)...but if anyone gives them a go would like to know the verdict!

IF they are exactly the same size as the eGo Mega attys, then it should fit. I just tried putting a LR ego Mega with a 510-510 adaptor and it closes...barely. It doesn't look or feel like there's undue stress on the pivot arm with it closed.

Edit: Just noticed something. The reason it fits is because of the 510-510 being so long and there's the slightest bit of wobble in the brass arm, YMMV. That being said, it is a very close fit; close enough that I probably won't use it since I have other "regular size" attys and cartos.

I learned something yesterday- I tend to just sit my Darwin on my desk in the "on" position, and just pick it up and take a drag from time to time while I'm working. Yesterday was no exception. Well at 10pm I was setting up for a couple hours of playing Black Ops, I looked at the battery meter and was almost dead. I fully charged it the night before. So apparently leaving it on all day will drain the battery down pretty good- definitely not going to get 24hours out of it like that LOL. On the positive side- I hooked it up on the charger and started playing. I played for 15 minutes then took it off the charger (I couldn't use it as a PT because I had no outlets close enough). The charge was up to 3/4 in just 15 minutes! So I was able to play & vape for the next 3 hours with no concerns.

So a little follow up to this.
this week...

Wednesday night- plugged in overnight.
Thursday- started using at 6:30am with my morning coffee. Used all day at 7W (standard carto, so around 4.7v) and usually forget to turn it off. Plugged back into the charger at 10pm- so 15.5 hours of use. It was plugged into the charger with the Darwin in the off position, no carto on it.
Friday AM- wake up at 6:30am and start vaping... What I didn't know (and soon found out) was: I keep the charger plugged into a power strip. Apparently at some point yesterday one of the cats got under the desk and stepped on the on/off switch of the power strip. So while I thought my Darwin was recharging overnight, it was actually not. At 7:30am, my Darwin gave me the angry battery.

So apparently my Darwin is only capable of 16.5 hours of use. Probably a bit more if used at lower wattage, and maybe a tiny bit more if I religiously turned it off after every vape. But there is no way I'm going to get 24-36 hours out of it like some of you are reporting.

Don't get me wrong- 16.5 hours is still awesome in my book. It just makes me question if my battery is up to par?

Also since I had to drive to work with a dead Darwin, made me realize that I really need a car charger/PT. Where can I get one?

Bummer on the dead Darwin driving to work.

Target or the like. Look in the cell phone area. They should have one that has a mini-usb end on it. The one I have has an changeable end between mini and micro usb.

N2rock. All I can tell you is that I've had mine for three weeks and I charge it every other night (and the battery indicator is still showing half full). I am using an AFS tank so my Darwin is on from 7am till about midnight, nonstop. I take the tank off at night and shut the Darwin down ‘til morning. I use about 4ml per day in eliquid and the setting is at 9.2. I couldn’t ask for more.

N2, definitely sounds like you aren't getting the same amount of battery life. I, like SC, charge every other night and when I place it on the charger it still has about a 1/3 left on the bar. I typically vape it at 7.5-8 watts with a 2.8 MAP.

Maybe contact Evolv and ask them about it, maybe someone else has had a similar issue?
