I am indeed proud!!! Im also a little ....... I know that he is running a business now and has many discount and affiliate deals with different suppliers , but he shouldnt have to try and discredit those that dont want that kind of service.
It really dosent behoove him for potential customers and review watchers. New people in the vaping community turn into experts usually. You might fool some people in the beginning but they will figure it out later. I dont send out free stuff for reviews to people who have businesses, making reviews. I think the consumer can figure these things out for themselves, and although it will increase business, I always felt it was a little shady.
I thinks its pretty obvious who did and did NOT send him a free one and sign him up with an affiliate link.

So, there I was... lounging placidly inside of a vape ring, and suddenly I heard, "Dahhhhling, the watah's in da ke-el, and the tea is almost reaty." "Apples and pears!" I replied.

(I'm going to take a nap. It is fairly obvious that the doofus Kat has taken over.)

Hugs, SHS.

Not impressed with that review at all.
Why do they always spend so much time 'speculating' problems that don't exist and don't show how flexible the device is.

Been carrying mine around for months now...never had the wheel slip.
It has no liquid or dust in it.

The button doen't take much effort to push. It 'clicks' instead of 'mushes' so he's got it in his head that takes more 'effort'. MEASURE THE THING WITH A TOOL if you're going to go making claims about something like this.

Don't let him ..... get his hands on a goose-neck, he'll be lost as a goose ;)

I've seen this same guy give total junk great reviews. Go figure.

Why doesn't he tell us how many 18500 batteries you'd have to carry around to get the same battery life. Or what a pain the ... it is to change batteries and put them in chargers (that you can't leave unattended) all the time?

A ZERO....what an idiot.

TURN THE ARM to an angle and you can use any damn finger you want to push the button.

Yes and I also noticed he did not give a response and give proper credit to a unit that I feel has brought vaping to a whole different level versus the multitude of VV's out there. Sure I agree that the Darwin may not be everyones cup of tea but where the hell is it written that if it is not a Tube or Box then the form sucks??? From the vid it is clear he had a chip on his shoulder from the start and did not view this PV for its ground breaking technology and function but rather chose to nit pick design features that do not follow the "norm". So if people like Brandon at Evolv decide not to push the envelope then we would never move this hobby further with better technology. I for one salute the balls and risk Evolv took and will contiunue to support them. I also understand that since the product is different there will be people that have trouble accepting it and spending the money if they are not certain. This makes people start the BS about batt, swivel arm etc because they have a fear of the uncommon. That is why I always let people take a drag off mine when they see it and ask questions. Then I point them to nHaler.

Credo, relax sweetie. Up your nic. Who cares, really? We'll all find our way to what's best (ahem, DARWIN) eventually.

I'm going to be serious here (I know you're thinking I'm still joking around)... What does his review, negative OR positive, have to do with my (your) vaping enjoyment? For Drew, Brandon, and Evolv it's a different story. My investment with my Darwin is an emotional/physical one, and the only thing that Sir Scottie could do to ruin that would be to pry it out of my COLD DEAD HAND!

Well if he really wants to impress me I would like to see him stuff a nice sized tube mod up his ... and blow some smoke rings from that end. I wonder how difficult it would be to press the button then??????

Really his review does not affect my vaping but it does bother me that he has jaded some potential customers that Evolv and nHaler may have gotten if it were not for this poor review. Remember there is a certian amount of investment and in order to recoup that you need to have sales of units. Now if we want or expect Evolv to invest and design new stuff there is some R&D expense for the next generation that needs to be funded from the current product line. I want them to be profitable so that we get the latests and greatest. So if some bonehead jeapordizes that for me I guess I am ...... and will try to negate what they say with facts and positive comments about the Darwin.

The way I see it, it's just one review and one person's opinions. I do disagree with several points he makes in that one, but whatever. I read many more negative reviews of the Darwin than that one while I was trying to decide whether to buy one, all the opinions out there at the time were split about 50/50, but I still wound up buying one and have enjoyed every minute of it :vapor:
I know not every potential buyer will bother to seek out all the info they can before making a decision, so a single negative review is going to hurt the product to some extent, but I like to think that there are enough people out there who have a brain in their head and will get more than one opinion, first
(okay, I don't usually have any faith in the general intelligence of people, but just let me remain jaded on this one for at least a couple minutes :p )

Ok couple of minutes are up:) You are correct and luckily one of those that did some homework and found out what many of us have when we picked up a Darwin. My fear is that this guy is a "respected" reviewer and you can see the feeding frenzy comments made following that review. The problem I have with the 50/50 split is that the negative side has a very low percentage of people who have actually tried one and they continue to spew inuendo about something they know nothing about. I have seen a few posts that people did not actually like the unit but it is mainly a size or look thing. I do not believe I have seen one post that says the unit sucks and does not perform as stated. So a review like this is not really a big deal to those of us who reside in Darwinia but for someone on the fence it could be a deciding factor. My biggest beef is that he did not give the unit a fair shake and while he may not like the form he should have noted that the unit does bring technology to market that the PV world did not have prior to the arrival of the Darwin. BTW - I still want to see him blow those smoke rings!!! Happy vapes KJ

For Drew, Brandon, and Evolv it's a different story. My investment with my Darwin is an emotional/physical one, and the only thing that Sir Scottie could do to ruin that would be to pry it out of my COLD DEAD HAND!

I watched the vid and that is simply my response to it.

Cons Cons Cons without the Pros. That is obviously being biased.

Does his review show all the time and effort that goes into charging and taking care of li-ion batteries when he's giving something else a 'great review'? Does he drone on for 20 minutes about how you have to take most PVs apart to change the batteries...all the steps involved, etc? Nope...notta 'negative' word about any of that stuff! Does he bother to mention the lifespan of a li-ploy battery (cost performance ratio) vs other traditional lithium cells? Any 'negative' mention of all the clicks and prods and extra tools needed to get other high end PVs to work? Usually not (if it is a positive review all that stuff just kind of gets left out)...

Yet...he can go on for 3 minutes about the play in a little arm without saying anything at all about how it effects the vaping experience (it's actually safety play to protect your teeth and jaws from accidents...they could take the play out EASILY, but then it would have one less safety feature). No complaints at all as he's explaining the dozens of button pushes it takes to change something on the Vari.

It does get my blood pressure up a bit.
Mainly because it is not HONEST and OBJECTIVE. OK, attack the Darwin if you want, it is fair enough, but why not do this with all the other stuff he reviews as well?

Oh well, what fun it is....
