Panks, you're a sweetheart and you've already ordered and got one. I can get one for Sir-Ski :) I'm on the beta team and I'm not rushing.

Steady as she goes, and SHE goes steadily. ;)

But I think we missed the point. Ski's point is the feeding frenzy of items that are "pre-released" and WAY too early. Have your merchandise ready and off we go. Otherwise, it can end up badly (as seen by the reasons already mentioned).

I think the only set time that they released them was that one night when they sold the ones made by Matt. After that it has been all random for the most part. I have seen tips listed at 2:00 p.m. EST and others at 4:00 or so and some at midnight. It's pretty crazy but my offer is serious so keep your paypal ready ;)

Panky my money is good. I will send you an additional $10 for the effort if you score. I just do not have the time to F5 and when I want to buy something I want it in a reasonable timeframe. I am certain others understand this too and it is not just the Trippy Tips. It is across the board. Let's throw out JCmodtronics, EQ, Empire mod etc etc. That is my rant and I would just like to see people stick to schedules. I work in a high tech engineering driven medical business that needs to deliver new products quickly and regularly. If we were to follow the model that I am seeing developing in the PV world we would be crucified. I am just fearful that we are helping to breed this behavior and as I stated earlier from this day forward I will no longer contribute to the frenzy. I will not post in a thread that is more than six weeks past due on promissed deliveries of new product nor will I purchase product from a Supplier that can not give accurate projections and project status. I fully support pushing technology but not spurting off about how the next greatest thing is coming creating hype and delivering nothing for 6+ months. Few industries would stand for the hype we are buying into when many of these products are in the tinker and R&D stages. Anyway thanks again man and nic level at 2X my normal dose now. Ahhhhhhh better

I am on the fence about whether I want them to be released at a set time or not. It would be good for people that have a life but at the same time, you would have 100+ people on the site at one time trying to get just 1 or 2 tips so it will either run slow as hell or the tip will sell immediately, giving a very small chance of getting it. It's just a complicated matter I suppose.

All due respect, as I can see where you're coming from:
But,
I have a house full of personal computers that tells a different story.

I'm STILL waiting on a Macintosh Power PC I ordered in 1995...it'll never come.

I'm STILL waiting on several Motorola Coldfire 68040 processors I ordered in the early 2,000s. Doesn't look like I'll ever see those either.

My Epson laser printer says all over the box, "Upgradable to PostScript", 15 years later and they still have not released that cartridge and never will. Their answer? Just get another printer, it's cheap now! My answer, "Well, I already have a life-time supply of toner for THIS printer, are you going to give me credit for them?" No...................

I could go on for hours and days about these sorts of things from even some of the tightest managed companies in the world. I worked in IT for hospitals for a while as well...and their contractors and bidders often hyped up stuff and came up short on promises too.

Not saying it's OK mind you. It's just always been part of the American Way. Not really any worse today than it has been in previous industries and markets. Do you have to play every round? Not at all.

I gave up trying to beat it years ago.

Good points Credo and yes I have opted to not play every round as you can tell from my posts. Now you are making me think that many of the PV MOdders are IT guys :). Sorry to say this but IT in our company is right up there with HR when it come to the brunt of the jokes. No ill intent for our IT and HR professionals just a fact in my little piece of Corp America. Happy Vapes and long live Delrin!!!!!

I can imagine :)
HR is told to find highly qualified people, so they do. Then someone 1/3rd as qualified wants to spend a bunch of time and money 'training' (or should I say HAZING) someone with a PHd and 20 years of experience how to do things "our way (never mind the industry standards)" that they can do in their sleep. Duu, just give them the JOB DESCRIPTIONS, COMPANY MANUAL and DEADLINES! If there is no job description, manual, and deadlines, how can you train them anyway? It's crazy LOL.

IT, well I could write a small book on this. The biggest nightmare are the ones that refuse to document anything and hold things together with clothes-pins and act like simple stuff is 'rocket science' that only ONE person in the entire company can do. When they do try to document...they'll rewrite the free manuals that come with the stuff on expensive company letterheads and still not put the implementation plans on the front page! Hmmm...can you spell 'job security'? The free manual has blanks to write all that in, so anyone can keep the system going (sometimes even a monkey could do it).

Gosh I love people :)
They keep me vaping alot, and drinking a beer every now and then :)

School is tough. When you are in it balls deep there is no escape. Even when class is done there is always a paper due a test coming up and you can not let it go. The only good thing is when finals over over that's it finnished and no worries till next semester. I do know what you are going through and it is harder going back after being away for sometime. One bonus though is that it is easy to blow the curve for the yonger students who are out partying while you are home studying. I worked heavy highway construction for 12 years before going back and getting that degree so yes go have that beer, a vape or two and chill. BTW if I ever do get pulled over for going 95 on I-95 then I will just show you the Darwin and offer some juice in return for a warning :) Happy vapes man

lol yea its pretty funny, im 28 and 90 percent of the people going to class with me re 10 years or more younger.. .it really hit me when i wwas talking about music and how i was going to Ozzfest when i was in highschoo in 1998... he looked at me and said " i was 5 in 1998" or how i was in college during 9/11 and how strange it was, and these guys were in 5th grade... really?
then these guys dont read the book when they are sopposed to and we get pop quizzes cuz the teachers are ...... off... thank god i know what to do this time around.

lol about i -95 careful when you go through dc, ill prolly be workign around there when i get back into the real world, actually, dont, i will gladly take a bribe of some juice!

I don't know maybe I'm old school here but tonight I put one of Drews good old fashion LR-901 Atty's on my Darwin with a drip shield. Talk about a nice flavorful vape, Boba's never tasted this good before, unit turned all the way down too. 4.2... I've has a lot of PV's no other has made Atty's/Carto's anything respond like this Darwin does, none of em.

Going back to the dry burning thing, I've been jusst doing 4 or 5 bursts of a couple seconds, with a few seconds in between. It seems to me to be a tradeoff and sure it does use up the atty but at least I have them clean now. Vaping with dirty atties just plain suck, if they last longer but don't vape well then who cares.

So basically what I've found is that dry burning at 4.2 works better than with stock batteries which are supposed to be around 3.7 but who knows. I wouldn't want to go any higher than this, this seems to be the setting that works well, no need to risk popping it or putting it through more than it needs to. I"m prettty damn happy though to have atties which work as well as when I first vaped them, I haven't tried air blowing or whatever but I don't have the gear for that, I've tried pretty much everything else though and it seems that with other methods you can clean the juice out of them but it doesn't do much to get the old crap off the wick. Burning it off does do the trick with that though, plus by heating up the atty you can blow it out much better.

@Vap0rJay: and what happens when you screw in an 3.5 ohm atty?

@Vap0rJay....take off the adapter you put on it....screw on a standard atty/carto....see what happends.....thinkin' your adapter or DC is acting up.....

Ok, I think unless anyone else knows what to try... I may have to send my Darwin back for repairs. A co-worker let me use one of his CCV std reg resistance cartos, the Darwin only reads 1.1 ohm and at 12.7 is only putting out 3.9 v. On the regular boge cartos I use, im showing 1.5 ohm and a max at 4.4 volts. It seems since I put the ego mega duel coils on the unit --- nothing will read over 1.5 omh. For giggles, I put on a never used LR ego tank atty, it ohms out at 1.2... and a reg 306 atty ohms out at 1.3... Something is definately wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm attempting to let the power drain totally and i will remove the carto and let it charge from being "dead" and see if this "resets" the unit...

So, since I purchased the Darwin off Nhaler -- how do I place a ticket and/or get help from evolv ;) ???
