Brandon & I are friends. Over the summer, he had seen some other work I did and sent me a few old cases to see what I could come up with.

When one of my units died he had me send it back with one of the customized cases and did a retro-fit, his wife has the first one with the blue butterflies.

I don't recommend anyone dis-assemble theirs to do this.

those look pretty cool!

Thanks so much, I appreciate it!

I love doing something different and it's nice to have a awesome mod with a larger canvas to work with!

Thinking back, the green one was done fully assembled and I masked off all the openings, tucking in the edges with a small blade just on the initial spray, the last phase was adding some silver metal beads which got glued directly to the case.

I'm thinking about the holidays, along with some vintage style ones. I'll def post more pics!

<sigh>

Well, just as I was thinking it was about time to sit down and do my own video on the big D, it developed a problem - the current sensor wigged out and stopped reading resistance properly. So it's on the way to Ohio (fortunately close to KY) for a repair. Guess I can still get my notes down but now I'm stuck with nothing but 3.7V batts for dripping. :( Good thing I've got an apocalypse stash of 808D-1 gear to get me by, but some of the new nicquids that came in this week are going to have to wait.

Now, though, I'm seriously thinking I need a backup VV/VP device. I'd love it to be a Darwin but man it's hard to slip another one into the budget ... though the decision would probably be a lot easier if I could get my hands on a Blue one. ... ;)

</sigh>

I just sold my provari due to needing money and the fact I never use it. Right now building a 2x aw imr 18500 ptn08100 chip vv box mod with voltage adjust wheel and voltage display. A lot to cram into the size box I got, been working meticuously on every little fine detail in my spare time for a few weeks now. Until then being verryy careful with my dwin. Idk if I can do without that nice regulated high voltage vape as its my only vv device atm.

New read; "How to kill a thread" by letting Vchick post
gawd how I hate when I do that.........go ahead and let the crew wipe up that chalk outline from the remains

sorry, going back to my corner now.......carry on

I think we are all stunned into silence from the majesty of the Darwins you showed, that is really nice.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate you all waking up.....ummm I mean participating and letting me know
that I am not a thread killer!

On the semi-serious side I'm tossing all of this around, I really saw alot of interest at Vapercon, just having everyone grab my hand........but I don't want to handle anyones precious cargo personally so we're trying to see what works out.

Anyone know if its safe to charge the Darwin with a 2.1amp USB power adapter? Basically like a power adapter that is used to charge an iPad 2. I'm looking for a faster charge. My Darwin's battery performance has taken a huge hit from when it was new. From over 20 hours down to about 12 hours (I'm logging battery life for a review). I only got 10 hours out of it yesterday.

Thanks!

Mine took a dive too.
Started charging it on my computer instead of with the wall wart.
Battery life jumped back up again! So I think it was my charger and not the Darwin or its batteries that was sick.

It might be that your Darwin, for whatever reason, just isn't getting a good recharge.

I 'think' your 2.1amp charger should be ok. That stuff with USB anything tends to adhere to a USB standard since folks are hooking it to computers all the time too. Message Evolv just to make sure?
