try opening it slowly....if I open mine quickly, sometimes it does not turn on....works for me
Nobody else has run into the flip the arm and no turn on issue? I've sent my baby back three times and every unit I get its a 50/50 chance of turning on. I requested a brand new unit and it does it also! So I now have two that I'm going to have to send back. I got one of the very first ones to be sold a pre order actually and it worked fine for like six months. Now I can't get a unit that turns on and off like its supposed to. Getting real flustered here!

Hey I need some advise. So I got my new Darwin and I am loving it but the button seems really really hard to push. I kinda have to slide it up and it actually hurts my finger after a while....Is this normal? The button seems to be quite recessed...I am wondering if I have a squashed button or will it get easier with use. lol

That's not normal. My Button isn't recessed and is easy to push. You should return it.

"recessed" is a subjective interpretation as the button sits in a recess of the body.

Just try pressing the button near the top as that is where the internal button is located.

Before anyone suggests "return it" you might consider offering more productive advice like: "perhaps you should contact Evolv using the 'contact us' link on the Evolv website and see what they say." Evolv has the very best customer service I have ever seen and I think they are better prepared to know if/when devices need to be returned or not. Why not let them handle their own customer service? After all, they ARE pretty good at it.

I am having one of the worst days. Last week my Darwin stopped firing, so I contacted Evolv and they said to ship it to them for repairs. My wife shipped it to them for me on Monday since I am always working when the post office is open. Today I got an e-mail from Brandon stating that he received the package but it was damaged in transit and the Darwin had fallen out some where along the line and I would need to submit a claim to the post office since I had it insured. I asked my wife about the receipt and she still has it but she only insured it for $110 so I am SOL. I'll get less than half the cost of the Darwin back and nHaler doesn't have any in stock. The customer service from evolv was great and without that I'd probably be a lot angrier than I am. But I am really really mad at the post office right now and myself for not telling my wife how much to insure it for.

Sorry to hear of your situation. I KNOW is IS frustrating. I have been advocating (since MY incident) fully insuring ALL devices whenever mailing. Below is what happened to my Ali'i when I sent it in for service. Luckily, mine was insured but I have seen many stories when they are not.

Ugh, I am sorry to hear that :( USPS lost my loaner Darwin when it was on it's way back to Evolv and I had it insured for $200 but they ended up screwing me and saying that the package was delivered  Maybe some postal worker figured out what Evolv LLC means and ninja'd that package  I will never know but luckily Brandon is a great guy and I kept him up to date on exactly what was going on and I still have my warranty :D USPS really does need to get it together though... If I ever send something like that again, I will probably be using UPS or some other company that will actually honor the insurance.

Sorry to hear the bad news.....its a shame that stuff gets lost, damaged, etc. by the USPS....I have received damaged vape goods also due to USPS handling.....also stuff sent by UPS and Fedex......guess it happends with all delivery companies.....Insurance is a must no matter which shipper you use....maybe we should consider carrier pigeons.....

God I hope they don't try to screw me too. The package was delivered after all.

You are right. I wasn't at a computer and was using Tapatalk to type, which is more cumbersome for me than an actual keyboard. I shouldn't have replied to this post if I couldn't contain more details.

Yea I think most of us started out that way. I started on blu. Got easy frustrated. That's when they were three piece before cartos. Then smoked for along time again. Then went to an ego t which helped me cut back alot. Then used the ego with the Mega Atty. Then. The Darwin. And that for E off analogs for good.

Hmmm Very interesting information as far as on off switch. Wonder why Brandon never told me about it? I will give the slow flip a shot. One thing I dont like about the new unit which I recieved is the Blue LCD display. Cant see anything on it unless its firing. My first one was the gray LCD which could be read in any lighting. Thanks guys for the on off answers... seems to be working ok... ill give it a day or two.

Hi Darwinians! I just got my first Darwin from the classifieds forum, and it should be here sometime after the weekend. I'm very psyched about it. I have an i06 3.5Ω atty, an ikenvape Mega Gold 510 V2 2.5Ω carto, and a regular ikenvape Mega 3.0Ω carto on the way to use with it. I actually love the looks of it...it's very scientific looking in a strange way. I think an i06 or 306 clear pyrex glass drip tip would top it off nicely.
