1. No tarp this time she did not want the wings to get oil on them
2. Well since it was a few hours the wings got bent forward, backwards, sideways etc etc. Just like making pancakes you can't cook only one side you have to flip it around every few minutes.

Sounds like you had an interesting and lively discussion... it was only a discussion right? 
I got a Darwin! I was actually singing those words in a little song when I found out that it came in the mail today. When I talked to my wife while I was still at work she told me a package came and it said evolv it made the rest of the day that much harder. Anyways, I got it, and now that I got an issue worked out, I am happily vaping away. It was more of an issue with my computer, I will go into more detail tomorrow but now its time for bed, just me, my wife, and lil D. Thanks for the suggestion of sleeping with it the first night, my buddy(oscar the mini schnauzer) is in the animal hospital till tomorrow so its a little lonely in this bed.

My Darwin has been running good for a long while... It's past it's warranty so it's all self repair from here on. The pin that stops the mouthpiece from spinning around and around kept falling out so I jammed it up with a bit of tissue around the edges. What type of grease is in there because mine has sort of "run out"
Edit: also, does it use a reed switch to turn off? Noticed a bit of magnetism inside there...

Doubt your Darwin is "past" warranty. It may be voided from opening, having it opened for custom powder-coat/polish, or may be untraceable to original purchase (also voids warr) but the device warranty is 2 years and the batt warranty is 1 yr. Evolv will replace the batt for $25 and gives it a new 1 yr on the new batt. If you open it - you void the warranty.
Newer versions of the Darwin do use an electro-magnetic on/off in the elbow. The grease is Dielectric grease (100% silicone - don't need much).
