Los, how's that mini treating you? Does it pretty much fit all the way in a kuwako. (I'm still wondering how in the world she is claiming these little things are regulated 4.2v but we are seeing a lot of advancements lately so it's no longer inconceivable.) I think I may want one.

I think I have pent up chinese new years money. So many things I suddenly want and vendors are out. All in all I fared pretty well. Except for the fact that I opened my mouth about that auto 510 before I could order a backup. lol.

V4l is having a 30% off sale but I did the math. Still not willing to spend that much on a battery.

3) The tips they come with don't stay on so pick up a 801 drip tip.

I have been using echomizers exclusively for 9 months and have never lost a tip. Buried in the original thread is a post that solves the problem.

I use pliers to grip the tip and force the lip of the tip into the body of the cartomizer. Then pull it out slightly so that the lip of the tip is still inside the cartomizer. I like the rubber whistle tip.

Grrr....tumbleweed has to chime in here. You can get hard plastic whistle tips designed for the 801. You have to pull off the filler part that comes attached but they boil and bend and can be widened very nicely with a screwdriver shaft and are the best whistle tips for the echomizers. That is, they are also the only ones I found. But it comes up so rarely, it takes me awhile to remember. When we figure it out, I'm going to have to bookmark it.

The biggest problem I have with the rubber ones is that they are a beast for condensation. If you don't get in the habit of blowing out the cartomizer every few pulls, you get a mouthful of nasty liquid and/or soggy filler

Well, after browsing through this whole thread, I went ahead and ordered my 1st Echo from Tropical Vapors, the 1300 mAh.
Kind of huge, I know, but the 900 mAh Ego I just got a few days ago barely lasted 1/2 a day before needing to be charged again.

Yes, I am chain-vaping that much. (But I'm not smoking, chain or otherwise, and that's what matters.)

Hopefully the Echo will be here by the end of the week!...and I'll surely have newbie questions, so I figured I should 'introduce' myself now ;)

That's what I should have sent you too, Johnnie. If I was thinking, I would have sent you a nice pre-made echomizer with kanthol and cotton wicks to see if you think it's worth the effort. Next time, maybe. I got lucky with my last order from cropduster. One of my echomizers ohmed in at 2.5. -happens every once in a great while. The other was normal and one wouldn't give a good reading. That one I rebuild immediately. It's nice to have one with completely new filler instead of washed and reused. I'm in flavor heaven. It's not really much of a step down from clearo flavor.

Wordup doesn't sell the hard whistle tips anymore. I found some at goodejuice. I'll report back if they are the same. I remember that there seemed to be a few manufacturers for the boge leo/801 cartomizers that some fit well on the echomizer and some didn't. But I stocked up so I don't need any for a long time. Unfortunately I only have one or two that don't have my dental records all over them and those are the ones I use to let people try my echo so I can't share.

If anyone likes a good tobacco vape, goodejuice makes their own house brews extracted from real tobaccos. Their patriot blend is actually made from real cavendish which I haven't found anywhere....synthetic flavor or otherwise. I will warn you though, they are murder on cartomizers.

Charlz, if you had the inclination I'd pay you to re-coil 4 or 5 Echomizers a month for me. ;) I decided it wasn't worth the time for me after destroying my 4th or 5th carto trying to introduce a new coil. I'm sure it's easy once you get the hang of it, but it became a tad bit expensive in my early experiments. I do have a couple of pre-made coils still lying around, so I may try to introduce a new one again when my current couple of Echomizers are ready to be replaced.

BTW, that chrome Echo came in last night. Thank you very much. I decided I definitely prefer the unsealed. It's a shame you can't find them anymore.

I seem to remember txtumbleweed liking the 801 carts from NHaler. Next time I feel like spending $5.00 I may order a batch. It'd be nice to find some that work, but I'm not too pressed on it. I only use the Echo with the Kuwako now, so it's rare I try to dangle it from my mouth anymore. That's what my Sidesho is for.

I'm not a tobacco person. I only vape menthol and cinnamon, though I may branch out on my next order. I still have over 200 ml steeping right now, so that'll be a while. :)

It's a nice easy draw, isn't it? And you don't have to worry if you want to use an adapter to try something new. When my last one dies, I think I'm going to try my hand at soldering and swap out a sealed one.

I don't want to make a business out of this. :) Let me know before you ship when you have a few in need of recoiling and I'll get to them when I can. Kanthol stands up to many more dry burns than the stock wire so when I do them, I can send you enough cotton wick to restring them yourself. Cotton doesn't break like silica fibers do and I make the loops so it's easy to pull the wick out and zip more through.

I'm still working with the Kanthol that Cyrus gave me a long time ago. He's busy becoming a Doctor so we haven't really heard from him in a while. So it would cost me nothing but time an a stamp. What I meant was, I couldn't take money but if I had warning, I could get to them in my spare time.

Ordered an echo-e carto in my last order from Cropduster. With the auto ego from Mtn Vapor, this thing is treating me nice. On a manual...kgo/twist etc, I didn't like them. Go figure. I'm even getting subtle flavors in my juice that only show up in a T3. Not as flavorful as if they were in a clearo but it's still a slightly more flavorful vape than the regular echomizer. Weird. Of course this info only really helps if you vape the complex tobacco blends. But still as far as overall performance, this thing performs better for me on an auto than a manual, just as the 808 echomizer does. Odd.

Hello peeps, so I got a batch of 3 echo e and have not had good luck with them. I checked the coils when I got them by backlighting with iPhone flashlight and 2 coils were not even visible smashed all the way to the side, very poor coils. The one I filled has constant dry hit or burning flavor. It produces awesome vapor maybe more than t3 but the taste is horrible. It tastes like a dry hit on a clearo. But still tons of vapor, and the draw is easy. I am using an 801 drip tip because the rubber flavor is def not good.

I tried rebuilding one, uh very difficult I must be doing it wrong. Getting the base out was like pulling teeth. That thing is pressed in deep on the echo e. Had to used a vise to press it out. I got it back together and its working but with a dry hit taste too and i confirmed it is not touching the air tube so its not burning that. still tons of vapor so not sure why it has a chemical type dry hit taste. Seems its getting juice because vapor is thick and heavy.

How are you Actually introducing a new coil?

I tried pressing the filler down, it didn't help. Any thoughts or suggestions because these are unusable.

Welcome aboard! Not much to learn really, unless you want to build your own coils. Nice to have another Echo user around. :)

I don't know, I'm quite a newbie to all this. :)
I mean, build your own coils? Hah, I don't even know what that means.

Well, I've had my Echo for less than 24 hrs, but so far, so good.
Thus far, I've only tried it out w. Apple Pie in one of the cartos it came with.
The mouthpiece is so narrow, I feel like I'm playing a harmonica or something. Are these what are called the "echomizers"?

What are people's preferred 'set ups' w. the Echo?
