Referring to the njoy video, sure we can split hairs about the ppm or ppb.

Fantastic post.

But i do want to point out that exposure to 1000 times the concentration at what's potentially every waking hour is far from splitting hairs vs a normal work day.

I smoked while using the gum and patch. So yeah, I found them completely useless. vaping is the ONLY thing that has gotten me completely off cigarettes.

Same here. Gum and patch (es) simultaneously with 2 to 4 PAD...

Off and on for years.

While trying to quit.

It's a good racket.

But vaping... not trying to quit... All alone... With sub par gear... 14 days and it was over. Monday will be a year of no stinkies at all. Nov 3rd was a year vaping.

K thanks. I'm not focused on that part of the video. He could have intended to say ppb. It appeared to be a live video interview. Maybe pbusardo got his test results. I like the fact that he offered to show test results.

Ah, makes perfect sense. :D Sorry about that. Didn't make the connection at all at first, lol.
I could tell you hadn't traced it back to the topic. You're usually on top of things. I had a feeling it would suddenly click.

Just happy to see you're back with us now.

Even with cigalikes I didn't completely quit. It wasn't until I bought my first ego style system that I quit completely. It's now been over 2 years since I had a smoke. I never tried Chantix. I knew so many who tried Chantix and had a bad time on it. I know myself too well. When I'd try to quit smoking using the patch and gum, I'd be horrible to live with. Simply horrible. I figured on Chantix I'd be even worse, not to mention other people's lives would be in danger. Prison is without a question a place I'd rather not visit long term!

Let me ask you something, Robin (or anyone else): Would you say that children are capable of doing the same level of research as you or I, or Dr. Farsalinos? Do you think children can do the same research to find out what flavorings are "okay" to vape?

I'm fine with not selling vape gear/juice to those under 18. I'm not fine with making it illegal for them to do it. I'm not fine with making it illegal for a parent to choose to buy those things for their child. If I had a kid that started smoking, I'd much prefer to have them vaping than smoking. I don't want you or the government making the choice.

I live in Texas. Here, as in most of the US, it's illegal for anyone under 21 to purchase alcohol. But as a parent, as long as I am present, I can give my child alcohol. No age limits on the child. In theory, me and my teen could sit down with a six pack of beer. In theory, me and my 10 year old could sit down with a bottle of scotch. Legally. That doesn't mean that children can drink anywhere and anytime they want, but it does allow the parents some control. All the talk I hear about "Ban vaping for anyone underage" sounds like the goal is to let the government decide, not the parent, and turn the kid into a criminal if they do it.

I'm just saying, if you don't believe we should protect children from vaping, say that. Don't act like it's absurd that someone would want to protect a child.

It's absurd that you believe that if you allow your child to vape, you don't want to protect them.

Now some of you seem to be operating under the mistaken belief that the FDA's job is to only let through chemicals that are 'mostly safe.' That hasn't been true since at least the 60's, when large-scale testing of thalidomide led to over a dozen infants being born with birth defects. Since at least that time, the FDA's charter has been to only let chemicals through that are completely safe. And, vaping VG is not completely safe.

Nothing is completely safe. You are demanding an unreasonable level of safety for vaping. Automobile accidents are the #1 cause of accidental death, but automobiles are still very popular. People sometimes die from Asprin. Water is essential to life, but that doesn't mean you can't drown. Every drug on the market has a list of known side effects, and some drugs don't mix well with others. Pretending that if it isn't completely safe, we can't do it, ignores reality.
