I just washed all my bottles. I’ll be bottling tomorrow. I realized the box the bottles came in will be perfect for storage in the freezer. I need to make room in the freezer. My mom offered to keep it in her freezer but I don’t like that idea. 1/3 of my freezer will be nicotine.

Split it between the two freezers. Different locations, some protection against catastrophes.

I do wonder why none of the nic mfgs. have submitted for approval, though, now that we're talking about it.
I cannot think of any benefit or advantage to filing before the deadline. The moment you file, the FDA can reject/deny, and if they do that, you must take that product off the market immediately.

FYI dont just keep nic and nothing else in your dedicated freezers. They need to be full for energy efficiency and in case of power outtage it will stay colder longer.

This is excellent advice! Mine is split between four freezers in three different states.

Note that a power outage is not a catastrophe. Unlike meat, nicotine base doesn't freeze solid and won't spoil if it reverts to room temperature for a few days.

But fire, flood, things do happen. Especially when you're talking about stashing something away you expect to last you many, many years. Like the family heirloom fruitcake.

Well, patches, gums, and nasal nicotine sprays have been around since well before 2007. The pharma companies had to get it from somewhere. It's not like they grew their own tobacco. So I would imagine a case could be made that if you were in the nicotine business back then you would be in under the grandfather clause and not have to file anything other than a registration.
I don't think so. If it was being sold to pharma companies, that's not at all the same as being offered to consumers, and I believe the latter is what would be require in order to qualify for an SE application.

Absolutely. One of my locations is relatively high risk. 150' from the ocean, and barely 10' above sea level. Before Hurricane Matthew, I had a considerably more nic here than I do now. When we bugged out three days ahead of the storm, I took much of it with me. I think I only have a 5-6 year supply here now.

Im still debating on getting a freezer. Its all going to depend on how much room is left in my freezer after I put in my 3 L and if I decide to buy more. 3 L just doesnt seem like enough.

For reference, I have 2 liters in my freezer that I transferred to 100ml Boston Rounds bottles. They filled a box that's about 10" long x 7" wide x 5" deep. I had room in that box for separator padding (paper towels) between the bottles.

Smallish freezers from Lowes aren't all that expensive. You can get something like this

As to nic, just figure out how much you use and how long you expect to vape. I have 6 L. Each should last me roughly 6 years. I'm 62. If I'm still mixing and run out when I'm 98, I'll deal with it then.

I think that is the one like I have in my basement. I defrosted it about 2 months ago, it serves the purpose well. :)

100 mg solution in PG or VG?

Yes, if someone could prove that this was marketed prior to 2/15/2007, it would be grandfathered, or at least be eligible for an SE application, which is (in principle) much easier than a PMTA.

Yeah. Didn't think of that.

Meanwhile, I am sitting down with my neighbor tomorrow to discuss plans to keep him in vaping. He’s vaped for five years. He’s aware of what’s been in the news lately but doesn’t really know exactly how close he is to losing his ability to vape. That ends tomorrow.
