I used a single drop of dish soap and filled each bottle half way with hot water, then shook the heck out of it. Then i rinsed them forever until they ran clean, then rinsed them some more. Then i put them back in the case upside down to drain for an hour, then turned them upright to air dry the rest of the way.
I always let my bottles dry out completely with the mouths facing in a downward direction because I would prefer not to have dust settle in them while they are drying.
There would have to be a lot of dust in the air for anything to settle into that tiny opening in such a short period of time. I had faith in my a/c filter doing it's job.
Hmmm.....I just opened the sealed, dust free plastic bag they were sealed in, inspected them, smelled them, and filled them. I may die.
I remember learning when I was beginning to brew beer that putting the big carboys on their side helped them to dry quicker, and prevented the dust. Something about thermal dynamics or something, and it allowed better airflow, and a means for the moisture to escape, which is more difficult with the opening on the bottom. Found out it really does work, too.

But the reality is, I normally only need to dry one bottle at a time, so that would probably be Overkill.

These only hold five each, up to 31mm. I have a wood one and it is very well made.Does anyone know if they make tank stands for larger tanks? This one that I have doesn’t hold my newer tanks very well, they are just too close to one another and I’d like one with more space
