Dr. Seuss, that Wotofo Conqueror is a great rta, I enjoyed mine alot. Came out around 2016, one of the first postless rtas that I can remember. Comes with dual twisted coils, has juice control, all around great atty. Mike Vapes has a good indepth vid on it.

I have a vaping friend that only buys from her local vape shop. I keep reminding her about the likely upcoming vapeapocalypse. I tell her about really fantastic online sales and encourage her to at least get a few backups, in addition to some nicotine for her freezer. Even just a little. Her shop downplays any urgency. She's going to be caught in all this and I know will go back to smoking. It's frustrating that I seem to care more that she's prepared than she does. I need to give up. It doesn't work if she isn't taking this seriously.

The people I know are mostly the same way. One at least bookmarked fasttech and I bet she buys a few things, seeing the prices. But I doubt she believes there will come a time we won’t be able to buy gear.

Another, it took me four years to get her to buy from anywhere other than eBay.

She’s such a tightwad, refuses to spend a penny unless she absolutely has to. She has 3 (internal) mods and tanks, and maybe ten boxes of coils.

I feel like they’re all laughing at me now, it’s a big joke how I’m blowing all this money on mods and RBAs and stuff. We’ll see who’s laughing in a year or two.

And as it stands, once I get all the atties I’ve recently ordered, I’ll be set, I’m positive. I only have a few things I’d pif though, so I hope nobody is counting on me sharing.

I was one of the clueless masses for a long time. Not sure why. I messed around with cigalikes for 4 years or so and had no idea there was a vaping universe out there. I think I found ECF when I was looking for a new supplier of cigalikes after my regular one increased their prices.

If the FDA stuff had started happening back then I might have had no idea.

I found ECF very soon after I started vaping, searching for an answer online. I really enjoyed having a bunch of people right here to ask and learn from.

But I still missed the 2016 info... I was away from the forum for a couple years with my husband’s illness and death. I easily could have been in trouble had things worked out differently.

I have a friend who is trying to switch, for years. I try to help, rebuilt for her for a long time until I steered her to Zenith, which she loves. But she doesn't seem to care, doesn't realize what is going to happen, and she will keep smoking until her demise. Hurts bad to say that, but I can only do so much. She is an ER nurse who knows better, but she loves her cigarettes! Been there myself, thanks to ECF and everyone, willpower and the will to quit, managed to switch almost 7 years ago.

It's sad what is going to happen...

Somewhere out there
Well I just piggy backed off you and ordered one of those Wotofo Conquerers, those look nice. I’ve been looking for a good tank so hopefully it vapes nicely. I also ordered the last Infinite Cartel brass mech mod they had for $9. I looked up the reviews and it looks like a pretty solid clone. I’ve never used a mech mod and I’m not real comfortable with a brass tube that I guess technically has venting but if you look, I’m not sure what it has counts as venting so it’s just going in the stash and maybe I’ll trade it for something down the road. It’s a really beautiful mod though so it’ll look good on the shelf. I have to find some sort of brass rda to stick on it.
Get some kicks for it, that's what I did. I have several mech's for worst case senerio :)

I just said in the Random DIY thread I wish there were a checklist itemizing how much a person might need. I know it would be impossible to come up with something that would apply to every individual, but a general guide would be awfully helpful.

Most everybody has heard by now that some people were poisoned by black market JUUL pods sold as containing T_C. Hundreds went to hospital and may be several have died. How did this happen and why does it matter? The FDA harrassed JUUL into withdrawing replacement pods from walk in retail making them hard to get. So cloners in China made the pods, with liquid, and they are apparently for sale in tobacco shops. So somebody in China got some empty ones, filled with something or other represented as T_C and sold on the black market. If JUUL pods had remained for sale in stores there wouldn't have been cloners and there wouldn't have been unfilled ones available for drug pushers. The FDA might be thinking about how many more will be poisoned if they remove most vape products from the market.

Drain the swamp!

I don't believe the culprit(s) are in China, based on several things I've read not only on ECF, but elsewhere. You might want to read this, if you haven't seen/read it before. It relates to Patrick DeGraves' brother who died recently and the cartridges of "stuff" he was vaping...not pods. I've seen the same cartridges sometimes mentioned in other stories about these lung problem cases, too.

I am both lazy and preparing for my wife becoming a self reliant vaper when I'm gone.

That's a depressing thought. After several years I finally convinced my wife to give me her setups before the tanks are empty and starting to taste burnt. She used to just hand them to me and say it stopped working. I've thought about getting some pods with throwaway cartridges for her to try because that's the only way she will be able to keep vaping if I go first. I don't know. She does other much more complicated things because she wants to do them. But she doesn't want to do vape stuff so she doesn't. Maybe she's afraid that if she agrees to change the batteries herself I'll be on her to wrap coils or mix juice next. Who knows what goes on in female brains. It's best not to think about it.

Check out GrimmGreen’s review, the one he has is different. It looks like, going by the picture, Vapenw has the “mike vapes version”. I’m not sure what separates the two but different versions abound.

If I were to guess, this would be a clear case of "I am going to not do anything vape related until I HAVE to." Leave her some written instructions in the will.

IDK about the afterlife but like, my guess would be you will either be like, able to look down on her getting emphysema and being like, "Honey you are an IDIOT" or perhaps you will be all like, "Afterlife WHEE she can show up when she shows up there are no virtual oxygen tanks here we can have fun THEN. Plus you can materialize your own perfect vapes.

I agree! I've been doing DIY for almost 5 years now, and most of my local friends who vape...either DIY, too, or I make it for them.

Things like the Dank Vape cartridges though, are totally different. From talking with several teens and early 20-something's...the people who usually buy the black market cartridges aren't looking to vape eliquids at all. They're specifically seeking the alternative stuff, for the buzz they get from it. They know what they're buying, but not what else might be in it, too. ;)
