My Zenith coils last forever but to be fair I vape them at absolutely puny wattages and like, well I have things in rotation a LOT.

I did once get a 1.6 nautilus coil to vape was it, yesh, about 80 ml of a very light flavor once. I mean, it wasn't gunky. But, I felt kind of proud. I might've gone on to another flavor but I sort of decided to retire the coil in perpetuity, etc.

low watts extend coil life?
i knew avoiding sweeteners did that, but that;s all i know.

Well they don't overheat as much, so I would imagine. I START my Zenith 1.6 coils at like a puny 10 watts. When they start to get restricted, I sort of increase up until about 14 watts and then they are just too restricted.

I have yet to get a Zenith coil to taste burnt. The pull just gets too annoying. Etc.

Plus rotation. I don't chain vape on any tank. I have a bunch of RTAs. I can't remember the last time I changed a Zenith coil but I have one I am going to have to soon.

Still buying on subscription service but I have a feeling running out of Zenith coils is not going to be my BIGGEST issue.

Drop-in coils is one thing I'm glad I'm not dependent on. Not that this is a horrible thing...just one less thing.
I started with drop in coils and tried to get a few weeks out of them. They were always best for the first couple of days and declined after that. I'm strictly rebuilding today and find if I'm using only one set up it's worth rewicking twice a week for the best taste and vapor quality. I'm too cheap to replace drop in coils that often. I got a few pod systems and found I use them so seldom that the coil needs replacing just from shelf life. If I'm going to use a pod I need one I can rebuild.

Can you get rebuildable pods?

I am both lazy and preparing for my wife becoming a self reliant vaper when I'm gone. We have a big stockpile of coil heads for a few different tank platforms. Part of my plan was to sit down in the winter and rebuild the pile of old heads to extend the new blister packs into the future.

Now my eyesight's failing and I don't know if I can build in the future. Four years' worth of heads are nagging me for attention. The vendor that still had a huge supply of heads for our main vape at a low price has seen the error in their ways and increased the price eightfold. (Vision Nova coils, a quarter a piece back then.)

Two things I wish I'd done last winter - buy a liter of pure nic and many more of those heads. Now I'm going to use that as a motivator - no new nic until I rebuild at least 100 heads! Better finish before it warms up next spring.:D

The Pasito, although I’m not sure if it’s a pod or an AIO.

Aging out of being capable of building worries me. I can do it now, but what about in 15-20 years?

I have a few decent tanks and a bit of a coil stash, but I don’t look forward to using them.

Yup. A life-time supply of wire and wicking costs less than a carton of smokes.

I started with drop in coils and tried to get a few weeks out of them.
I don't think I ever got a week out of one (Pro Tank coils, pre Natutilus). In some cases, they didn't even last a whole day. I learned to rebuild them, but they always ended up with an off taste after a couple of rebuilds, I think due to the rubber gasket getting over-heated. So I moved on to stuff that was designed to be rebuilt pretty quickly.

Ijoy Diamond VPC Pod Mod takes either pods (3 types) or any RBA or RTA you want to use.

The pods for the JustFog MiniFits can be rebuilt pretty easily and quickly. Lots of You Tube videos showing how to take the pod apart to do it. Being able to do that when needed and getting the really good flavor that I do from the MiniFits...have made them a favorite lately. I bought a bunch more during the Ejuices.com sale.

Hey, thanks folks for the tip on VapeNW, that TAYLOR15 code did indeed work. Picked up an original Kanger Kbox, an Aromamizer V2 and a Wotofo Conqueror all for $21 bucks with that code! WooHOO! All old favorites of mine, and great for the upcoming lean times ahead. Preppers, that's what we've become. What is sad is that one day ALOT of vapers will come to the shocking realization that online retailers and local shops are disappearing (I hope some miracle changes that, but don't have alot of hope it will).....and that they didn't have a clue....but those are the kind that never had enough curiosity to search out forums like this or other info. And at least we all on ECF have this great forum and support system to keep us informed and connected. Alot of you I consider good friends, even tho I don't comment or post much.....I read this forum multiple times daily and get a big kick out of some of the posters comments. Again, thanks folks!

... It was more of an experiment, took a full gallon out of freezer PG and liter of nicotine about 10 months ago being they were coming up on the four year mark and replacement were in order ...

Were you replacing just the 4 year of PG or do you replace you Nic around the 4 year mark too?

I have a vaping friend that only buys from her local vape shop. I keep reminding her about the likely upcoming vapeapocalypse. I tell her about really fantastic online sales and encourage her to at least get a few backups, in addition to some nicotine for her freezer. Even just a little. Her shop downplays any urgency. She's going to be caught in all this and I know will go back to smoking. It's frustrating that I seem to care more that she's prepared than she does. I need to give up. It doesn't work if she isn't taking this seriously.
