Since I finished prepping and buying things I use a few years ago, I've been putting a bit of money towards vape-related science experiments. I think I've confirmed the importance of keeping nic base cold, and now I'm working on battery aging -- not so much with use, but in storage.

The time, energy and cost you put into the nicotine storage experiment has already benefitted so many of us - and will continue it's benefits well into the future :thumb:

    Thank you

@DoffyI have a NIB innokin DRV Kit that I'd thought about reselling a couple years ago. But with the way things have been going since then...I decided to definitely hang on to it. :thumb: Some others may want to see about getting 1, too. They're not found on most websites any more, but some are still available.

Iis this what you mean? Innokin iTaste DRV Kit

I'm still on page 2, so haven't read if anyone else posted some in stock websites for these. I found a 2 sites with them in stock.

Wow some of you are amazingly prepared for the worst. If the worst happens I’ll be ok but it seems some of you won’t miss a beat. I’m just wondering if they ban everything where the hell are we gonna spend all our money. That’s gonna be the next big boom, all that cash has to go somewhere. Just figure out what shiny thing will appeal to us vapers and you can be having dinner in Saint-Tropez on a mega yacht with the spice girls in no time.

I have no desire to live a flashy life. I do have a thing for yarn and handbags though. I probably have enough yarn to last 10 years, so handbags it is.

[derail]I should send all my yarn to you. It's just languishing in boxes right now. Between my bum shoulder and my erratic brain, I doubt if I'll ever pick up my needles again.[/derail]

First question I asked on ECF 7 years ago was the best mod to get. I was made to feel subhuman if I did not get a Provari. I hated Provari for a long time because of that.

Got one for the popularity back in 2011 or so. I vaped it for quite a while because it fits in a pocket and uses any 510 thread atty. Variable wattage devices appeared on the market and my Provari V2 was relegated to the closet for future use if needed. I get it out here and there and vape it for nostalgic comparison.

Looking back, it was a status symbol and not worth the $224 I paid for it (including the extra 1 year warranty extension). It did kick my Joy 510's and eGo's to the curb at the time, though.

I have a different perspective. I resisted buying a Vari and kept getting the similar ones like Lavatube. In the end, I spent more than if I had just gotten the Vari to begin with.

Also, price is relative to the times. My Lavatube cost almost $100 and I remember my first kit was a cigalike that was awful, I paid about $130 for the kit and extra cartridges.

I bought Sigelei Zmax’s; still have two, both in fine working order.

We have six (Siegeli Zmax) in the house ... 4 mini's, 2 full size, extra extension tubes to make mini's full size, and beauty rings for 'em all (which also work on Provari slant tops). One lost it's eGo thread adapter around the 510 and one has a wonky display but they all still work.

New V5 ones in Gunmetal and in Black Chrome are still available here for just $10.79 + S/H!

Sigelei Zmax V5 Telescopic VV/VW Starter Kit

The Silver has sold out since I posted in the Low Budget Shinyitis thread about the Clearance products they had that were all $6.29 to less than $11. I placed an order for something else from them Monday, and it shipped the same day. So even though it's a previously unknown website, to me anyway, they seem to have really fast shipping and super clearance prices.

Besides the Nic, it's probably stock piling Zenith coils that needs doing. Got plenty of Nauty coils

This website below has an amazing Dog Days of August sale going on all month, that I posted about on page 15.

Innokin Zenith Vape Tank Replacement Coils (5-Pack)

They still have 29 boxes of the 0.8ohm Zenith coils in stock. I was told they'll possibly get more of the 1.6ohm this month. They have a tiered pricing discount sitewide for anything you order, except bundles. Regular price/box of 5 is $8.95, but at the 35% off level...they're only $5.82/box.

    $40 order = 15% off
    $60 order = 25% off
    $80 order = 35% off

Just use the coupon code WOOFER at Checkout.

    I really liked that device.

Still got my SVD 2. It sits in the stand on my desk and I use it every day. Too ridiculously long to take out of the house. Still works fine. Solid as a rock and it has a DNA chip.

It has different tubes for 18650 and 18350 batteries. Seemed a shame that it didn't have an 18500 option. That would have given halfway decent run time, and been OK lengthwise.

I have a concern that might not be relevant but I think this thread moves so fast, it might overwhelm many folks. I don't know if a separate post that is just for gear and sales/deals as was proposed earlier would help but it is a thought.

They have some good prices there. Not sure I understand what they are doing though. They have Nautilus coils at prices from $12 down to $8.60. The $12 one was their number 1 seller.

I checked out the Aegis Solo. Great price with the discount. They have a cute gif of the battery cap being screwed on and off which appears to have the threads going backwards.

You might be right there. Someone who hasn't been vaping long and just heard about the deadline might be better off with more general discussion of stocking up strategy. That's in here along with a load of other stuff. On the other hand it's always been that way. It was that way for me when I started vaping. I read endless pages and learned how to use Search.

Any newer vapers here want to comment?

Thread is kind of a desperado's shinyitis type dealio at this stage.
Im not so sure vapers are as addicted to nic as much as to getting a bargain and some new gear.

I have more stuff on the way including the only thing that matters, another 4.57yrs worth of nic. :D
Funny thing is I live in a country where the issues discussed in this thread arent on the table in our parliment, yet. I just dont trust the Australian gov to do the correct thing.

I'm mostly set. Come fall I'll place my final NN armor order. That will be backup nic for my current life stash. I do think it best to have plenty of extra nic and IMO more than one thinks they'll need.

Be very prepared, check your stash and then prepare more.

It's very prudent to have a bit more than you think you need. I took an unopened bubble wrapped liter bottle of nic out of the freezer a few months ago. I walked into the kitchen and set it down on a glass table top with a little more force than intended. Not slammed down by any means, but still a bit harder than I meant to. The whole bottom inch of the bottle cracked off. Ordered a replacement bottle and an additional 1 more for any further oops moments.

I'm ready but I need to start practicing the making of my own juice.

It saddens me how many smokers will never be liberated once the open systems are banished. The last newsletter I received from CASAA was a list as long as my leg, of anti-youth-vaping political machinations all over the country, the "children at risk" meme.

I have a wager. If open systems are banned, there will be an explosion in the US marketing of the Nicorette inhaler, which is already in use in Australia for many years, and about which it is difficult to find one word of info in the US. I think you can actually get it here by prescription, not sure. I wouldn't be surprised to see it approved for OTC. It has always been a matter of handing vaping money to either big pharma or big tobacco, or both, IMO.

Also very sad is the loss of domestic vape jobs in the shops and brew houses.
