I shunned pods when they were first introduced. I thought they were simply cigalikes in a different form factor.I do think pods are a great easy introduction into vaping actually. Personally I'd probably have tried one and just continued smoking. They just aren't the way I want to vape is all.
The shops around here probably sell 10 pods to new users for every one device/atty beginner setup. Most are just looking for an easier way to quit smoking. Pods offer that in spades.
However, within the past month I've tried a couple of pod mods. First was an off brand JUUL which I purchased as a stealth vape. Second was a new dual coil pod I received from Geekvape for review.
I know we are both DTL sub-ohm vapers, and I was pretty satisfied with the DTL subohm coils in the Geekvape Bident. Downside is the lack of true variable power and the relatively small battery (950mAh), but it was a very satisfying vape for what it is. Juice capacity (3.5ml) is about the same as my Crown tank (4ml). It's a nice vape, but it's not going to convert me to pods voluntarily, though.
