Nic nice work great video and drawing
Charged it sure would be nice to have a look under the hood of that device.

Yes it would. Damn thing is almost a foot long, the Wizard is only 10".:D

Maximum temperature is 410 degrees F. PG vaporizes at 412 degrees. Pretty darn close. I'm just trying to figure out how to hide it from the misses. Going to have to ponder this one. You'll be seeing me in obituaries if the ole lady catches me with another um.... plaything. :|

nico, Where'd you get those diamond glass drill bits or whatchamacallits?

Charged...just tell her she screwed up your wiz so now you need this one to make up for it.

I had the diamond bits from rock carving stuff I do...yeah, another hobby of mine and the kids. You can get sets of them at MSC or Harbor Freight if you want cheapos. Not really a glass drill, just different shapes of grinding bits like for a Dremel tool. Lowes or Home Depot would probably have some, but not real fine tips. Just keep them cooled with water and go slow as the diamond grit shatters when it gets hot.

48lowes...thats what I was thinking...Charged will buy one and gut it for us...:D...wont cha buddy?

I did ponder the idea of a restricted orifice same as a idle jet screw in a carburetor, but I just want to keep this as dirt simple as I can. Main reason I want glass is that you would be able to see what is going on in the atty also. The tubing I was using for the juice supply is the .042" OD Teflon I had laying around and it doesnt take a whole lot of suction to get the juice to flow. It would need to be fairly thinned juice though...and I have found the thinner means less gunk in the atty.

I found some fuse blocks at RS the other day that will work nicely to hold the glass tube...IF I can ever get the tube. If anyone knows of a source for Vycor, Duran or heavy wall Pyrex tube at least...please let me know.

Thanks for the input perlion....Beast, I hope you haven't hurt yourself thinking yet.LOL
Go to a head shop. Thats where the crackheads get the pyrex tubes to smoke their crack out of. also there is a battery tester that uses a small pyrex tube like that you can get a autoparts store, but for bulk I don't know.

Only 7ml a minute is their biggest...hell I do that in 15 seconds flat. lol

I bet they aint cheap...find them anywhere besides YT?

I'm trying to get some samples (I just put that video up there). Yea probably not cost effective. At least not at the moment. These guys are suppose to be the USA distributor but they don't list it on the website yet.

Ok...this tube is looking good so far. I got it super hot on the gas stove and plunged it in to cold water...no problem. I stuck my 230 watt soldering iron inside for about 5 minutes red hot while dripping PG/water on it...nothing. Even having the iron right against creating a localized hot spot had no effect. One thing is that this stuff conducts the heat extremely well so I may have to rethink the mounting a little.

Bus hell...They can walk...only 5 miles! Thats the problem with Catholic schools...no buses. We just pay for the 15 public ones I pass every day.

Sorry, missed your ?...they didn't give up much of it...I got a 2-3" length of 4 sizes. Stuff aint cheap evidently...you know how those CBT are. :D

Well I put the propane torch to it for a couple minutes and nothing. I had it at the tip of the blue flame and it was glowing yellow around the tube but it didn't soften it. It did form a hairline crack at the end about 1/8" long but I think its more from the way it was cut than anything. I think it transfers the heat TOO well to work it with what I have. This stuff will definitely take a little nichrome coil inside of it being heated for a few seconds at a time.
