Daddy Dan,
DIY can be a very rewarding experience but there is a lot of trial and error involved. I personally did tons of research here before I made my first order. It's not as easy as ordering your favorite juice from your favorite vendor. You can't expect your first juices are going to be as good as something you buy from your favorite vendor (it might be, but generally there is a steep learning curve).
I look at it a little like working on your car. If you need a repair you have two choices:
1. You can take it to the shop and pay someone to fix it (more expensive, but easy)
or
2. You can fix it yourself. Buy the parts, do some research, get your hands dirty (cheaper, but a lot more effort).
What I'm trying to say if you expect it to be as easy as ordering juice and being as good as your favorite juice your first time out, your probably going to be disappointed. I'm also going to add if you're not sure that you want to do it, then you probably shouldn't.
I'm not telling you not to try it, heck I love DIY'ing my juice. Just tyring to tell you that you have to be realistic in your expectations. There's definitely a learning curve involved. Good luck!
Cheers,
Steve
