Hey Jags, I did post my oreo recipe, and I did not use peppermint. I haven't tried it since I made it, but it was really good right out of the can, I thought. Would have been during the last two weeks. Post 3221:

"Today's recipe is a cheat, but it's really good.

Oreo Cookie

FW Oreo Cookie - 8%
Sweet Cream - 5%
Double Chocolate - 4%
Vanilla Swirl - 4%
Bittersweet Chocolate - 3%
Bavarian Cream - 3%
Sweetener - 3%

I haven't tried to make with just TFA flavors, but I will get to it for you. The problem, though, with TFA is that don't have a cookie, not to mention an oreo cookie flavoring. While the Oreo is a type of chocolate cookie, chocolate doesn't necessarily translate to cookie, so I was stuck. Flavor West makes Oreo Cookie. Flavor Shack makes a cookie flavor that might work too. Anyway, I tried with the double chocolate and bittersweet chocolate to stay in the neighborhood, and then the rest is just sweet vanilla cream. Really a sweet concoction, this one, so flavor and sweeten to taste. Good luck!"

-----

Since the FW flavoring came in, I jumped on it and completed that recipe, though not the TFA full version of it yet. That chocolate cookie is a little tough for me. I haven't found it yet with the TFA, though the FW seemed pretty good as a flavoring for that aspect, and I pounced!  :D :vapor:

Nice Bill!!! I will have to order some of that FW Oreo Cookie and some bittersweet choc... those are the only two that I don't have as of now.

On the brighter side of things, I was able to upgrade to a TFA wholesale account before I made my last order... woah, is it nice to order the larger sizes... great prices too. Shipping, well let's just say I ordered late Thurs afternoon and got it in Florida on Saturday afternoon by using their priority mail option. Love that!

This reminded me.....

I wish I could come up with something besides a "thicker" tasting Snickerdoodle for the Cinnamon Sugar Cookie flavor I have in my basket. (See: https://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/p-7445-cinnamon-sugar-cookie.aspx ) This conversation reminded me it was there. I'm not sure what the vape translation of the "cookie" part would be when added to say... creams ;) My fear is that it'll end up tasting like soggy cereal.:unsure:

Seems a little thin at 15%, but then again, I have no idea what Cr3am is, other than poor dyslexic spelling. Is it me, or do the dyslexics all seem to have more fnu?

I have found that adding just a smidgen of menthol to my chocolate/mint recipe seems to bring it together ...careful, it ends up tasting like a Andes mint, not an Oreo if you add to much. .. but both are yummy

High Desert Vapes has a sale going that can really expand your flavors collection.
If you buy 1 10ml bottle, you get a free 3 ml bottle of flavoring (your choice.)
buy a 30ml bottle, and you get 3.
They carry TFA, FW, Ella's (Capella's), and Natures Flavors (organic), and you can mix and match the company's.

In the "comments" box, you can ask for the flavor you want in the 3ml size, and you'll get it if they have any left.
Otherwise they do the selecting.
They are getting rid of all the 3ml size flavorings.
Great way to get a variety for testing, to see if you like it

Ok,i have one more comparison question.Anybody used both the sweet orange and the mandarin orange?I need a new orange flavor and i know a few here use the sweet orange, but since it's only available in the 4oz. from tfa,i just hate the idea of having to buy that much in case i dont like it,plus the fact that they are not going to carry it anymore,i would hate to find it's good, then not be able to get it again. On the other hand the mandarin,i can get in sample size,so if i dont like it,i'm only out $1.50 vs $6 for the sweet.Just curious how these compare with each other.

I didn't say what size vessel they had to be soaked in! By all means, take from my experience:

1-Highball glass

4-Cubes of Ice

2-Ounces of Vodka (whatever bottle you've got closest to your lab helps)

Let soak while you empty the first round (because 2oz of Vodka never lasts ME an hour), add 2 more. Consume. Make sure you don't drink the atty/coil. Refer to previous description (at your own risk of course-I'm not responsible if you've consumed the atty/coil  )

:vapor::vapor::vapor:

I may soak some stuff tonite, Reni. I get it now.....DON'T SWALLOW THE COILS OR BASE.....I'm on the gold now! Many thanks! :toast:

:pI want to genuinely thank all the regulars on this thread! I've been lurking in the background for 3 months, and thanks to you folks, (especially Bill's Magic Vapor) and today, I got two months free from that stink-weed! I've been trying to quit with vaping for over 2 years, but the single flavor fruits didn't cut it. Finally, Cream Fantastico, Bill's Coconut Cream Pie, and Peach Cobbler worked for me! I've been smoking 64 years. To show how things have changed, in those days my Mom bought this 13 year-old his first cigarettes! I'm 78 now and am beginning to realiy taste food again. THANK YOU ALL!

Congradulations,64 years is a long time, but just goes to show it's never too late.I have'nt tried the cream fantastico yet,but i agree the coconut cream pie and peach cobbler are great. After making a sample of each,i turned around and made a 30ml of each the next day. It's amazing how much different your food tastes after getting away from cigarettes, isn't it,big difference.

Connelley, CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear that you're over the stinkies! Feels good doesn't it? Have you found all the other funs too? You know... cleaner smelling clothes, car etc? LOL That was my favorite part. I'm saving a ton in perfume and Febreeze haha

Very happy to hear you're finding flavors you like as well. If you have one that you've created and liked, PLEASE feel free to throw it out here. We'd love to see it and try it on for size ourselves (and lets be honest, it may have a flavor that we don't have, which means YAY-more TFA shopping!!!!!)

Happy Vaping :) :vapor:

Nothing stinks more with diy than having a cold, no smell, no taste, no ambition....only good thing is while taking it easy(as can with 2 kiddos) is reading in diy forum, and composing/adding to wish lists...I don't know how got sick too many possibilities lately....since started vaping, luckily it's been a really rare thing(allergies have been milder too)....thinking fruits to mix with dragonfruit, also eagerly awaiting Bill's opinion on the cream cheese icing(lorann) flavoring, all my recent mixes are idling in the cupboard, using up yucky vendor flavors now since can't taste, except my ones to be pif....hope to feel better soon and back to mixing/contributing ....I started trying to read this entire thread but....wow. it's extensive

Another thing being sick has done, is making me consider re-evaluating a menthol mix, haven't touched menthol (smokes)since my teen years, but reconsidering it now just for times like these..some say it helps?

I would think the menthol may very well open the old sinuses....in times like this. I am looking forward to the icing flavor as well! Tomorrow is the day it arrives. Given the recent enthusiasm over it, I can see many applications, possibly a few reformulations. I will probably focus on this one flavor this week and weekend exclusively so I can get a good feel about how to best use it. If it's half as good as some say, this will be a great addition to the flavor arsenal. Get well soon Mom!

WHEW

All joking aside-any white liquor above 80 proof is good for soaking flavs out of our equipment. It breaks it down quite well. Also, the alcohol thing applies to getting juice on your hands. In that case, you can use hand sanitizer before (not instead of) running to the sink if you want. When I'm creating, I have a small bottle of sanitizer (Walmart $2) next to my stuff and I also have the same sized bottle next to what my hubby has termed "The Filling Station". It breaks the components down very quickly and keeps it from absorbing too many nasties too fast into your skin.

However!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This by no means is an excuse not to wear safety equipment when in your "lab". :)

Well, we had the same issue with my FIL the second week he started vaping. So I made this:

Menthol -6%
Wintergreen -3%
Koolada -3%
Sweetener -2%

He said it helped TONS. Inhale to the lungs, exhale through the nose. Cleared him up the entire time he was where he could vape. :) I've also heard adding lemon will assist any throat soreness you may be having, but I couldn't attest to that personally.

Not to mention if it's an Ethanol, it's drinkable!
