If it gets above 70 today, I can shoot the last clear coats on the tube and start using my Fogger wednesday!!!!!! WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Ya, I thought the same thing as far as "What can we do next?".....

Yeah, can't believe the weather around here either .. still picking tomatoes off the vines, and I got 12 coats on my forced patina copper mod
Next project .. how about "drinks" ... from lemonade flavors to boozy flavors to coffee's, and cocoas, shakes, ?????? whatever we can think of.

I'm going to go :offtopic: here.
I know we are working strictly with TFA, but for your own personal use, try the Inawera "Biscuit" sometime.
Not the "Spicy" Biscuit, just the regular one.
Yummy stuff, kinda like a "scone" flavor ... great with fruits, and bakery recipes.
Sorry about going outside the box, but it doesn't hurt to have a few good flavors by a different company hanging around.
OK Bill, you can chew me out now

  :D :toast:

I am completely and totally referring to bottled juice only. Just trying to learn what it is that makes the juice go from light amber to dark amber (to me this is when it is ready to vape)
Would PG/VG and flavorings oxidize on their own? Is it the addition of nicotine that makes this happen after time?

Usually means you are burning the juice. If a tank starts at one color and finishes at a darker color, you're burning the juice. Reni is referring to bottled juice getting darker over time, which is normal. Not sure which situation you are referring to, though, so thought I would give you both explanations. :D

Mixed last night
1) a "sucker punch" clone recipe, sounded good, worth a try, never had the original
2) BlackBerry "snake oil", like my fruit+bav. cream+coconut extra mixes
3) pumpkinnog recipe-determined to try eggnog again, wanted something seasonal

Need to mix up some of the Danish recipes and Dragon blood recipe soon

As Reni said, the nicotine does oxidize. As for other flavorings, probably some do too. I understand that the oxidation does lead to the darkening of the juice. :D

Everything oxidizes, or is affected by oxygen, and light.

Most e-liquids will change color less if stored in blue or brown tinted bottles; blue is better (something to due with the light spectrum) than brown, but the brown is more prevalent for small bottles.

In regards to Bill' remark about the nic oxidizing, indeed it does, but the yellowing we see in our base liquids stored at room temperature is more over caused by light than by oxygen.

Pure nicotine is yellowish by nature, but when diluted in VG or PG it is usually almost clear until you go over 100mg /ml, above that it takes on a yellowish tint, for instance if your base is 200mg /ml.

If you store 60 ml of nic base (VG) in a clear 120 ml bottle, vs, brown or blue, the clear bottled liquid will have a yellowish tint in a pretty short period of time, vs, the brown or blue, blue being the best overall.

Temperature will also affect color.....

As far as flavorings, a cool dry, dark (not in sunlight) place helps preserve their flavor and color...

Wish I could try this. I made a document today that listed all of my flavors and boy I do have alot! Probably NOT compared to you guys but for me? Yes alot....at least oh IDK 30 or so? I had dragon fruit in my cart when I was placing my order along with Mango, Guava, Papaya...but then I was looking at Bill's list of flavors that one should have as a "first order" and although it wasn't my first I was missing quite a few. I ended up switching to like Juicy Peach, Blueberry, Strawberry, Pear, Banana Cream. I already had Ripe Banana and oh ya bought Coconut Candy as well - that was a duh moment as I've previously mentioned I guess I ended up with the wrong Coconut.

I'd luv your recipes you've recently come up with - if they came out pretty good that is? I made the snake oil recipe again this morning (with the coconut candy) this time cutting the coconut in half and it's not as good. As soon as I'm done with work I'm gonna add a bit more coconut.

As far as where we (or you all) go next I'd LUV LUV LUV milkshakes or iced cream flavors! Or even some "out of the box' mixes.

I'm about to mix up something with the RY4 Double this afternoon - not sure what I'm gonna check out some recipes and then decide what i want to add. I've seen things like Dulce le Leche - Caramel - Vanilla. I'm not sure where to go with it or really what % to go with the RY4 itself. I guess I have some research to do or I can simply give it a shot in the dark!!

Try this one i like to use 90 PG / 10 VG in this one seems to add some troath hit...

Ry4 double good
9% ry4 double (tpa/tfa)
6% bavarian cream (tpa/tfa)
3% caramel candy (tpa/tfa)
2% vanilla custard (tpa/tfa)

Also you need to let this steep for a wile in order to get the right flavor , i would say at least two weeks but one month will be better.

You sound like you know a lot more about it than I do!

I do know that my juices darken regardless of whether they are kept in a dark cabinet in amber bottles or not. Just my experience. :D

I will have to try the snake oil or venom with coconut candy, I've been using coconut extra, which is strong....1.5% is what I mix for the extra, and I have gone a little lower to 1%……I do have coconut candy and can mix a batch with that to see what difference is between these coconuts, I think there is a regular coconut too maybe.(Yes, checked there are 3)..you got me curious about the differences between the 2 different coconut flavors now.

Yes try it!! I don't know what it tastes like with the Coconut Extra but I sure am enjoying it with Coconut Candy. This morning I did 2% Coconut Candy and as I said it's just not enough. The mix is just lacking. That first batch I made I accidentally filled the syringe with too much and it turned out to be a good thing! I'm gonna add some more -- few drops at a time till I get it right. I have a funny feeling I was at about 4% - which yes it was STRONG on the coconut so I DONT suggest starting out there if you're gonna try it lol. I would say safe bet would be to start at 2%.

EEEEE I feel so scared advising someone where to start cuz I'm so new to this but that's what I found anyway lol.

Ok, no problem, I'll report back in a couple(2-3) days...I'll mix tonight I hope...snake venom clone(personally prefer over oil) with 2% coconut candy instead of coconut extra

Also noted, I am really enjoying tfa' s BlackBerry, a nice, rich, deep BlackBerry flavor at 3%, vaping a cheesecake recipe with it now...Yes, the cheesecake aspect is lacking, but oh the BlackBerry is very, very good in my opinion only. BlackBerry Danish in my future mixes? Most definitely!

Glad to hear about the Blackberry!

It's on my next order!

I live where they grow wild, I love Blackberries!

I will have to concoct some Blackberry Real Fruit vape juice now.....Whoo Hooo!

Shouldn't be too difficult....

As soon as my bank draft from my pay check gets deposited to TFA I can submit my order...LOL! :p

Soon I am gonna be like the kids used to be during the summer time, run a e-juice cart on the sidewalk!
(Kids selling lemonade from their home made cardboard stand).....LOL
