I just assumed certain flavors are more expensive to produce. Raspberry vs Rasberry (Sweet), for example, for 5.00 vs 9.00 (or 10, I forget) for the 4oz bottles. I remember some of the Vanillas (custard and French cream for example) are on the more expensive end. I think their 1oz counterparts are also relatively expensive.
That's what i've thought too about being more expensive to produce, but i have also heard that they get different flavors from different manufacturers,so that would throw the prices around some too, depending on what they have to pay each flavor producer.

I'm getting ready to place an order, what is the best cinnamon? I'm not looking for the hot type. More of the bakery flavor.

I'm also looking for a creamy caramel to add as a blender.

Thank you for your suggestions.

I think i heard the cinnamon spice is more like the bakery type cinnamon.I got the regular cinnamon thinking it was it and it turned out to be a milder red hot type flavor, which don't get me wrong it is a great flavor, but not the bakery type,so i would try the spice. As for creamy caramel,i haven't really noticed a real creaminess from the caramel original, but you may want to try the caramel candy,it is supposed to be like those little square chewy caramel type flavors i think.I have used it a few times, and can't say for sure if it was creamy or not because it was used with cream, but it was good.

Their prices and shipping both seem fair. I placed orders with them and Wizard late last night. They're in NC and Wizard is in FL. I'm in GA. Let the race begin!

I received both orders today, but it wasn't smooth sailing. Bull City sent my order to the WRONG address! Not just wrong, but a non-existent one. I always choose USPS text updates for all trackable orders. I received a text that the package was being sent back because it was undeliverable as addressed. I called the post office and was able to drive to the next town and get it. They had the wrong street name on the package. I checked my invoice and yep, my billing and shipping addresses were correct.

Anyway..... received 15 bottles between Bull City and Wizard. Will be playing later today! :danger:

I've only had the caramel candy so far out of the caramels, I like it, very creamy and tasty...I have to mix with it more, but so far, so good for me. Glad you got your order Debi, 15 flavors sounds like some fun mixing for you!

I've been busy, crazy work weekend, but still happy with milkshake blend, been vaping it over the weekend at work, and it's been good since day 1....running low on tfa marshmallow and vbg now....stalking bull city vapor since mm 30 ml still oos, might just go direct depending on how impatient I get

Thinking of mixing up a beetlejuice clone recipe (raspberry-mango-pineapple-strawberry) trying out some seasonal pumpkin stuff soon

Has anyone tried the rice crunchies/krispies yet? Caught my eye and am curious now...some marshmallow, little butter....rice krispie treats?

I've only had the caramel candy as well. I used to use it in my ADV back when I started DIY. I don't know about the other Caramels, but I really liked the candy.

I haven't tried out a milkshake yet. I was waiting on some of the flavors I received today. I still don't have VBIC, but I do have the Gelato now.

I made a Beetlejuice back in March:

Raspberry 5%
Mango 3%
Pineapple 5%
Strawberry 6% (only had ripe to try)

This was pretty good. I didn't know about using creams and vanillas back then, so it would be so much better to try now. Also, I would use the sweet Strawberry now.
I'm not a pumpkin fan at all, so I can't help you there.

I keep looking at the rice krispies, but I just don't know what I would use it for, besides rice krispie treats. I might buy it down the line somewhere.

I got some TFA Rice Crunchies or whatever they're called last week with an order and haven't tried them yet but will definitely attempt Rice Krispies Treat recipe. I got Horchata Smooth with that order too, so maybe I can do something with both of them together this week. Updating my VANILLA MILKSHAKE recipe from a few days ago, I tried adding some TFA Dairy Milk and TFA Dulce de Leche at 2% each and I liked the original better. I need to play with those some more. I also tried the original but with 1% more each French Vanilla and Vanilla Swirl as well as 3% Nature's Flavors MALT added and really liked it, but would go down to 1-2% Malt next time. I like it quite a bit more than TFA Malted Milk. Very smooth, almost like a mild toffee.

I also added 3% TFA Bittersweet Chocolate to the Vanilla Milkshake that had the Dairy Milk and Dulche de Leche added and it did NOT do it for me. So I bumped it up to 5% Bittersweet and added 2% NF Malt. This is when I realized that it will be difficult to overcome all the Vanilla flavors in that shake. I added 5% Strawberry (Ripe) to a vanilla shake also, and while enjoyable, so far the version with just Vanilla wins hands down. I guess if you're going to go with another primary, you'll probably want to reduce some of the vanillas.

Here's the recipe from a few days ago btw, using Bill's as a starting point:

VANILLA MILKSHAKE:

French Vanilla Regular 9% (I prefer the French to the Bean, so adjusted % accordingly)
Vanilla Bean Gelato 4%
Marshmallow 4%
Vanilla Swirl 3%
EM 2%
Sweet Cream 1%
Vanillin 1%

So...the above recipe but with 10% French Vanilla and 4% Vanilla Swirl and 3% NF Malt has been by far my favorite so far, though would likely be better with 1.5% Malt. Also imo they're all better the 2nd day.

Oh and Bill, your Peach Cobbler and Key Lime Pie recipes are damn tasty, sir. Well done! Sooo gewd....

The State of Confusion
Does anyone have a good recipe for Fire and Ice?

It's an old flavor that Puresmoker started over 5 years ago (of course they are out of business).

Primarily Cinnamon Red Hots and Cinnamon and Menthol

I have a recipe their chemist gave me (years ago) in ML to yield 30 ml at like 32%, but I have had nothing but trouble trying to convert it to percentages to mix lower nic mixtures..

Also looking for a good "FireCracker" recipe, but that should be pretty easy as it's primarily Red-Hots...

Thanks all

I have'nt tried any other fire & ice recipes,so can't say how his compares to others, but like i said this one is great.

Fire and Ice

Cinnamon - 7%
Bavarian Cream - 4%
Cotton Candy - 4%
Vanilla Swirl - 3%
Koolada - 2%
Menthol - 2%

If you wanted it hotter, you could replace the plain cinnamon with the red hots flavor, but i would cut that one down a bit, same with the menthol,if you want more of a cool hit,it could probably be bumped up a bit.I've been using it as is though,i haven't needed to change anything.

Quick question about everyone's favorite topic.

Every flavor listed at TFA says that there is no diacetyl in the flavors.

I've made the decision to keep things diacetyl free for the time being. Does this mean that TFA has none of the perceved issues that Dr F postulated?

I know there will be a push (needed or not) to rid the industry of that, just wondered if I was seeing things right. Even the usual offenders (vanillas, creams, butters) say "No Diacetyl."

Thanks and sorry. I know this has been done to death and I appreciate your patience.

Looking forward to having you back, Bill.

I ran out of "TFA Apple" so I picked up some "Signature Apple" from ecigexpress. It's supposed to be TFA but they call it Signature, right? This apple flavor is multiples more concentrated though. When I smelled the bottle I mixed I thought "well crap." Anyone have this happen to them with Signature flavors before? I don't know if was a mistake or just a different flavor.

Simple favorite ADV of mine for a couple of months has been CINNAMON APPLE ICED CREAM:

12% TFA Apple
12% TFA French Vanilla Regular
1% TFA Vanilla Swirl
2-3 drops TFA Cinnamon per 15ml

Now it tastes like:

100% TFA Apple
0% anything else

It's going to take a lot of vanilla, pg and vg to fix this!

We encourage everyone to do their own research on these subjects. TFA has a long blog about diacetyl, and other compounds, which have been known to form diacetyl. Diacetyl has been found to have serious ramifications to workers in a popcorn factory, who inhaled large quantities of this chemical over time. Here's a blurb from the CDC:

Respiratory Toxicologic Pathology of Inhaled Diacetyl in Sprague-Dawley Rats

Other compounds have been known to form diacetyl in solution. No one knows if there is any danger in these chemicals, or really about vaping generally. For this reason, it's very much an individual choice about vaping, ingredients, etc. For me, I avoid diacetyl, TFA doesn't have them, and I have no worries about any other compounds at this time. But, we really know very little. Just no science. Also, vaping diacetyl in e-liquid is not even a match to what caused the respiratory illness in the workers, one of whom may have died from it. Again, we just don't know. So, forewarned is forearmed. If I were worried about vaping our flavorings, generally speaking, I wouldn't vape at all, because we don't know anything. Personally, I think vaping is a magnitude or two safer than smoking, and there is some science on this. Anyway, TFA is diacetyl free, use all these chemicals at your own risk. Good luck!
