Different flavoring, different taste. Subjective. They are not the same, and not that close, imho. I use the sugar cookie in an Apple Jacks recipe and it's great, but it does have a distinct cinnamon taste. Not strong, but not like a sugar cookie. I would make two orders and pay the double shipping and get what I want, but I do know that sometimes, these things are not possible. Good luck to you! :toast:
Thanks Bill I will try it.

If anyone else was wondering, TFA got back to me in the sweet orange that they will (eventually) be discontinuing is exactly the same as ordering the "sweet orange Florida ffc" essential oil from Liberty Naturals...

edit: I was wondering this because I didn't know if they used the essential oil in one of their flavor mixes or if the essential oil was the entire mix.

Let's move it over to the Taifun thread, my friend. This is the TFA thread! :D

But.....OEM got me for two, hopelessly lost in the mix at this point, and can't tell a bit of difference....except I have two clones with narrow slots that really suck, that came on the "Gold" GT's.

So, how's your juice, my friend?

Man I made some KILLER Lemon Pound Cake...

Never guess where I got the recipe...LOL

I guess I was meant to be a DIY juicer....

Nope, no Lemon Machiano, Honey Nut Wasabi juice blends for me....:p

I know you guys have all seen some of these names the commercial juicers come up with....I dunno how they sell that stuff?!

Shoot it takes a half hour just to figure out it's a flavor you will give away or throw away if you did buy it!

Do you have a Citrus punch recipe?

I have been experimenting with my fruits (wait that didn't sound right)

 to all at ECF in the TFA thread!

This is some GREAT flavoring...VERY Strong!

Do be warned that any blends / flavors you use this in will be prone to melt silicone tank seals, and damage plastics...

If you have any problems getting it to mix in your blends add some PGA or 100 proof Vodka to the oil before you add it to your mix....

That's good to know about it damaging plastic.I mixed up an orange cream mix a while back, and added that to it.I was planning on putting it in my orchid to finish off the sample, glad i didn't.Your definitely right about it being strong though,i used it at 2% and it overpowered every other flavor in the mix,all i get is a nice potent orange haha.

Well, I've made mountain dew (citrus punch), once upon a time, but I have no complex recipe....yet....:D

Life's been a bit crazy lately so I haven't been posting much, but I am still pretty happy with my milkshake mix and have been adding 2-4% flavorings to it, and I ran out of milkshakes flavorings too, which stalled my mixing, but received yesterday, so back at it again...haven't changed a thing except adding other flavors

2% malted milk
3% marshmallow
2% sweetener
8% vanilla bean gelato
3% saline

The malted milk and gelato just have been working for my taste buds, I got orange cream 4%, horchata smooth 4%, and rainbow sherbert at 4% added to mix today, I bumped up orange cream from 2 in earlier trials to 4 %, but did like strawberry ripe better at 2% for just a lighter flavor in the shake.

Have come to conclusion that vbg and oc will likely be larger sized bottle orders for me, I really like them, and I seem to prefer mm over sweet cream, I'll have to do more mixes for myself to test this further, but currently am feeling this is my own personal preference. So yes, I did learn a lot this mixing session/vapathon, and I am happy with results and will continue to experiment with added flavors.

Great post MOM!!! Sounds fabulous.

Wonderful news for our milkshake Vapathon. Not a fan of the malted, but I have the other flavorings. Will be mixing tomorrow, so I'll check it out. Many thanks! :toast:

My first success with citrus punch... May have been the first mix, but I've made some "meh" ones with Hawaiian drink and other stuff...

Juicy Dew(30mL not in percentages due to accuracy):
3mL citrus punch- 10%
1mL black cherry- 3.33%
0.5mL Dr. Pop- 1.66%
0.2mL Pineapple- 0.66%
0.4mL Dragon fruit- 1.33%
*edit- being the thick headed person I am, I didn't look into any recipes..so I didn't get champagne. Lol...some help is needed.:)*

I started to type percentages, but got 0.0333333 something for black cherry..so yes, more appropriate this-a-way.

Let me know what you think... pretty easy for me to get vapor's tongue with a bright fruit flavor like this. I mix my base at 2/3 VG, before flavoring and nicotine(PG base)...for at least 200mL.

Has anyone used PEG? Trustworthy vendor, just in case a batch is ill prepared//batch specific test results?

'Super K, without percentages or a bunch more information, I don't know how to make this recipe.

.03333 is simply 3.3% which makes sense on many recipes, for example. :p

Sorry...I didn't do the math at all with 1.1 and 0.9mL in 30mL... next time..or if phone isn't whacking out..like now.. I'll edit it.

Also, I mainly use the wide bore bottles, with the huge tips/nipples.. whatever. I purchased them from my freedom smokes on first order. Only vendor I've gotten the same 30mL bottles from is from darkest day vapors...I waste base using measuring cups..ideas for that? Because the mfs 15mL bottles are 15mL, but the 30mL's can hold a little more.. of course, I didn't write down the full volume...to do list!

Thankfully, I used a fuzion vapor bottle, so what I just posted was a total of 30mL..:)

And I was coming to edit that I'm using an IPV2 with sigelei taj ji or my drilled out origen (1/8").

Yeah....I think the flavoring people and the plastic tank people are in cahoots! LOL

Actually in the essential oils it is the citric acid that degrades many polymers.

In many flavors it is the Triacetin..." It is the triester of glycerol and acetic acid"...

Note that word "acid"...and it does the trick on plastic!

Here is a simple way to tell if a e-liquid will degrade plastic:

Use litmus test strips and check the pH of the liquid (available at any drug store).

If the pH is less than 7 the liquid is considered to be on the "acidic" side and the lower it is the more reactive it will be with many plastics...

Now there are some "plastics" (not really plastic but look and feel like plastic) that are resistant to low pH, but none are 100% resistant!

Some are just better than others such as Polycarbonate, but it too will eventually degrade.

Also in any set ups you may have that use "O" rings such as for atty tanks, replace the original seals / "O" rings with Nitrile "O" rings as these are much more resistant to the low pH liquids than the Neoprene or Silicone "O" rings that come with about all tanks...

It is easy to tell the silicone ones as they are usually a whiteish color like the lip seals that come with the Kanger Tanks, and if the "O" rings are red they are usually silicone.

If any would like, I can post a on-line supplier of "O" rings that is VERY reasonable and has both Std., and Metric in various "resistant" materials...

I would love the O-ring link. :D

Wouldn't it also be great if someone would list the o-ring sizes for our gear, by piece/application. A new thread perhaps, or maybe there already is one. Dunno.

I have o-ring kits in imperial and metric with about 500 rings in each of approximately 30 different sizes, so I do often have replacements. However, I don't think they are nitrile.

The O-Ring Store

They are a great place to get your your rubbers.....I mean seals....

As far as a new thread for atty seal parts..GREAT IDEA!

The imports are a bit harder to deal with, but sounds like a new side project for Bill and I!
(See how easy it is to volunteer others). LOL

Cool link, that will definitely come in handy.I have found that cinnamon will play hell on the rubber o-rings,since i started using fire & ice,i have had to replace the o-ring on the fill screw in my fogger 3 times, luckily it came with a few spares, but i'm just about out of those,so if nitrile lasts longer then those will be a great solution.

Cinnamon and Cinnamon Red Hots has a lot, I mean a lot of Triacetin in it, thus a lot of acidic acid...
(especially the Red Hots, and I use the concentrate)!

Fire and Ice, my favorite!

I have found that the Nitrile outlasts just about any other "O" ring material.

Nitrile is almost impervious to just about everything!

Gasoline, Solvents, Acids.... used in exam gloves (bodily fluids)...yeech....pretty good stuff! :thumb:

Yeah,i had actually forgotten about nitrile until you mentioned it.I used to mess around with nitro r/c cars, and the fuel you use in those would dissolve a rubber o-ring in a very short time,so everyone was using the nitrile ones in those, but that's been several years ago,so the thought of those never crossed my mind.

Not sure exactly what 'flavorings' are... my problem is I have a lot of Unicorn Cuttwood Milk which has lost its pizzazz for me, and I would like to 'mix in' some flavor - like vanilla or coconut. Are 'flavorings' what I am looking for? Just mix them in with current ejuice(s)?

Thanks for any advice...

Unicorn Milk is a Strawberry-Custard e-liguid flavor I personally have not tried so I am unfamiliar how strong this juice is as far as the flavorings.

In many cases if you find you vape the same thing (flavor) for long periods, several days for instance the flavor seems to loose its pop.

This can be caused by your taste buds becoming immuned so to speak to the flavor.

Before mixing in anything I would switch flavors for a while and see if your Unicorn Milk doesn't taste better after you have been vaping something else...

If you do decide to mix in additional flavors / flavorings you will reduce your nicotine percentage.

In other words YES you can just mix in additional flavors into your e-liquid however to keep it at the same nicotine level you would also need to add nicotine base (nicotine mixed with VG or PG).

BTW: Welcome to ECF
