Howdy all,

I've been doing the DIY thing since last April or May but I never really explored any flavors other than vaping unflavored and a mint/menthol mix... HOWEVER, after reading through about 75% of this gi-huge-ic thread I'm starting to get the bug..LOL!

Thanks to all who have thrown their wisdom and experiences into this great resource.

And a special thanks to Bill for shepherding us gnubees along the path to vape nirvana. I just placed an order with TFA for 4 oz bottles of the basic building blocks you recommend plus a few extras and l look forward to experimentation!

Needless to say..subscribed ;)

Just goes to show how taste is so subjective. For me, the almond joy recipe is spot on, though not a frequent vape. I prefer the butterfinger and oreo cookie recipes the best of the chocolate bar/cookie choices, also the peanut butter cup (though not all TFA).

Recommend just dialing back the coconut to taste and your flavor preferences. In fact, I recommend that all recipes be adjusted to match your taste sensibilities. Seems like I have not found a single recipe from others that I didn't have to adjust to match my preferences. Just the way of DIY, I suppose. Good luck to you! :toast: :D

:2cool: :vapor:
That is a big bonus of DIY,,, you take a perfect recipe and tweak it so that it's perfect for you. I am still a few hundred pages back but catching up slowly lol. I got my cream and vanilla, played a little and mixed up some strawberry. My wife has always loved mine over retail and that was just strawberry and sweetener, now she says it's the best ever.... Thanks Bill...

By the way, MyFreedomSmokes has another $40 sale on nicotine:

https://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/nic..._content=Subscriber#4055&utm_campaign=1-20-15

$40 per liter for 100 mg/ml nicotine. This is what I buy in VG, perfect for 100DT (one drop equals 1%). Highly recommended. :toast:

Thanks for this link Bill, I am looking at stocking on up Monday, and I was recommended to try the Vapers Tek throat hit Nic, this is a better price. I have been using wizard labs nic for months, I am not sure yet what I am gong to order, I read some where that this VT nic is infused with oxygen to give you the throat hit, and from what I have read oxygen will cause the nic to degrade. I am leaning towards the MFS nic. I am thinking about stocking up, because of a bill being proposed in Indiana, that would make a liter to cost $1000.00, so now is the time to buy for me. If someone is interested here is the link to the VT Nic. :)

1 Liter U.K. Throat-Hit Nic (100 mg USP/EP) - Vapers Tek

Its not from the UK, I believe he's in Virginia. Can't find the business card that came with the order to be sure haha.. The nic comes from the UK but VT is here. I think it took only 2-3 days to get it in California, I actually got the nic before my WL order of flavoring got here, both ordered the same day.

Are you close to WL? When I priced my liquids the minute I added nic/pg/VG to my cart the shipping shot up to like $25! I only ordered my flavors there, since that actually gave me cheaper shipping options. With the nic I could only pick the one rate..

If you order over $65 the shipping is free. That's what I always do to save even more.

Bill's chocolate cream pie is next up in the mixing queue for me too! There's just too many good ones to try and not enough time.

If anyone has any recommendations for Fruit Circles and Berry Crunch from TFA..percentages, recipes, opinions.. that would be really awesome!
Fruit circles tastes like pine sol if not mixed right. Wouldnt suggest going over 8%. Have a base recipie that hasn't been tweaked yet. Haven't had a chance to set up my mix station in a while.

7% Fruit circles
4%Vanilla swirl
2%dulce de Leche
3%Bav cream
2%rasberry
4%cotton candy
2%sweetener

I have berry crunch but yet to open it.

I read sweeteners and vanillas help with fruit vapes. Been following recipes and wondering if its a thin line between the sweeteners and vanillas helping fruits shine or over powering them.

Blood dragon recipe i think from Bill am I looking for a lets say kind of tart fruit vape or a sweet fruit vape ?
Had some tonight made it a week ago and curious if its on the right track.

I have one...for berry crunch

10-12% berry crunch
5% malted milk
3% strawberry
1% sweetener

Adjust as needed for your taste, I prefer the malted milk as my dairy flavor some don't like, but could probably use sweet cream instead as a sub maybe

I only use 1% sweetener, I don't feel it over powers my fruits personally, it accents/enhances. If I'm doing a fruit, that flavor is the highest %, accented by some creams/vanilla, then 1% sweetener, if doing a multiple fruit mix, I have my primary fruit at highest, secondary/tertiary at lower %'s, creams/vanilla, sweetener....I tend to use bavarian cream, malted milk, vanilla swirl, and vanilla bean gelato, the creams/vanillas seem to add depth, the sweetener lifts up the fruit flavor notes..could just be me though, Both work together to balance and add harmony to fruit(s) themselves...guess if using some support flavors at too high a % in a mix, it could be too much because the recipe would become off-balance, and finding that correct balance of ratios for your individual tastes takes time and adjustments(trial and error/successes)

Dragon's Blood is a fruit vape. What is your take on it? All that really matters, and what are you looking for? Adjust to suit your taste.

My take is a very sweet fruit concoction:

Dragon's Blood

Dragon Fruit - 10%
Cotton Candy - 5%
Strawberry - 5%
Bavarian Cream - 4%
Vanilla Cupcake - 2.5%
Sweet Cream - 2%
Vanilla Swirl - 1.5%

Sounds like it might not be your go-to juice? :toast: :D

Great! Sounds awesome, I was also thinking it would be interesting to try and mix the berry crunch with the fruit circles...I'll have to experiment with this in the next couple days!

Always wonderful advice Mom!

I live for dulce de leche as my go-to milk flavoring. For me, it provides that bottom of the bowl, super-sweet cereal taste that I remember fondly as a kid. Brings back those memories every time, and one of the reasons I also like cereal vapes. If you new DIY'ers haven't tried it, give it a go, you won't be disappointed. Good luck! :toast:
