Good day fine ECF'ers! I have read through 90% of this thread and have learned a sh&t ton about DIY mixing. Thanks to all for helping to enlighten those of us just getting into it. I've been vaping for four months after smoking for 25+ years.

I have a number of flavors already, but still waiting for the creams and vanillas to arrive. After mixing a number of batches already, mostly good and a few stinkers I can see that I will not be buying pre-made juice again. As such I am thinking of getting a bulk account at TFA.

My question is if I get a bulk account can I still order sizes smaller than 4oz? Or will I be stuck ordering 4oz or more of a flavor?

You can still order smaller sizes if you want but you might as well pay the extra couple of dollars to get the 4oz bottles

and i have a question my plastic 10ml syringe that i have only used for vg the plunger just got stuck and pulled out of the tube with out the black plunger piece does this mean i need to stock my self with more syringes and why did it just happen to my big vg one? any help or knowledge welcome
The plastic medical syringes that a lot of people use are designed to be disposable. They aren't going to stand up to multiple uses very well especially when pulling things like vg into the syringe.

you can either get some glass/stainless ones for long haul usage, or stock up on the disposables and use them till they die. I know of people that use turkey basters to transfer into graduated cylinders to measure.

I usually just use graduated cylinders and pour for the pg/vg stuff. Makes it quick to whip up 250ml of nic base at whatever ratio I'm using at a time.

i get my smaller sizes at like 10ml or 8ml from other places normally when i order other vendors flavors and just use the tfa site for 4oz and up

Perfect, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't closing off the option. There are some flavors I just can't seem to find in Canada and having the ability to order the smaller sizes to sample would be good.

Thanks for the info!

Fruit Circles 8%
Berry Crunch 5%
Delche De Leches 3%

Turned out really well for my taste buds, think it will keep getting better with some steep time.. let me know if you guys try this and if you have any recommendations for it..
Sounds great. I add sweetener and/or cotton candy to everything, but that's a preference and taste choice. Good luck and great job! :toast: :D

Just wondering, I have had a couple test batches that have a good flavor, but overall are too dry tasting. Is there a way to make fruits taste more "Juicy" easily? All the creams I have have distinct flavors (Sweet Cream, French Vanilla Creme, Vanilla Swirl) almost like I want a cream with no flavor :p I have Bavarian Cream coming in the mail, is it more subtle?

Use creams/vanilla in low% to round out your fruit. If you add 4% Vanilla swirl and 3-4% of sweet cream you won't taste the vanilla/cream individually but they will round out the flavor.

I don't know if it is just the recipes I have tried, but even between 2-4% on the vanilla swirl I find the taste drowns out everything else, I find the vanilla too bold. Sweet Cream I am quite a fan of, at 2% I still get a good taste of the flavor, so I suppose if I drop to 1% I could make the flavor a bit weaker but still have some creaminess. Hoping Bavarian Cream will give me the happy medium I want, if not ill prob just have to try out a few different fruits to get ones that are naturally more juicy tasting.

Can you provide a recipe of what you made that has that dry flavor. If we can see the flavorings and percentages, I'm sure someone here can help. Also, the hardware, coil, wicking, air flow and temperature will all affect the vape, so if you can include those details, as well, we can probably diagnose the problem, and/or offer some helpful tips. Thank you and good luck! :toast:

Well its another Watermelon vape I am trying for, the lemon in another recipe made my mouth basically water so I was hoping it would have the same effect and give a nice moist watermelon vape.

Waterlemon
10% Watermelon
6% Lemon
3% Strawberry
2% Raspberry(Sweet)

Tried to use another fruit instead of the EM in this recipe. Tried this in an Aspire Nautilus, and and Aspire Atlantis (and played around with wattage a lot but couldn't get it dialed in). The Strawberry could be an issue as well, I need to get Strawberry(Ripe) next time I think, the normal Strawberry is very dry.

Just curious, what percentage of overall flavoring are you using? Or, a recipe would be helpful. My guess is that you aren't using enough flavoring, the opposite of what you are describing. The strong dominant primary will carry the day over the creams and vanillas and sweeteners up to about 6% or less of EACH. If you are getting a strong cream flavoring like you are describing, you are not using enough primary fruit flavoring. Could be your taste is a lot different than average, but 2% sweet cream should not dominate a mix with any fruit, unless the fruit is way too low in percentage. Again, a recipe would be really helpful! Good luck! :toast:

I did a test of this one last night and the vanilla came through strong, maybe I just need to steep the vanillas more, cause I do like vanilla but it stuck out too much.
12% Strawberry
5% Lemon
2% Vanilla Swirl
2% EM
