im glad to see blackberry at 6%. i just got some and mixed it up at 15% , smelled great but tasted mediciney. i had a hunch i used too much flavoring- good to see that hunch confirmed. i really want to like this flavor and im glad theres still hope. im also glad that im beginning to sense WHAT is wrong with some of my mixes. i couldnt tell if it was just a flavor i didn tcare for, or if i messed up mixing it. that, to me, is a major pitfall of my DIY: not knowing if you need to spend more time with a flavor, or if its just not a flavor you like.

Has anyone tried the Tetramethylpyrazine? I have some on the way, it sounded interesting.
"Nutty, musty, cocoa, drying, peanut-like and raw coffee notes"

TMP is awesome. i add it to my one and only tobacco mix (which flavoring for is now discontinued :( , at least ive got a small stockpile of it :/ )
it adds a unique nutty flavor that is very satisfying.
a little goes a long way. 1 drop per 5ml is all i use. more than that and it starts gettign weird. like Fritos vape kind of weird.

If you've tried AP, how similar is it?

I'm diggin' the Pizza at 5%. Tastes like you scraped all the sauce, cheese, and oregano off the crust with you hand an shoved it in your mouth - very strong, very satisfying. Maybe others can taste crust but I don't (and that's just fine).

this is good to know! i really liked ECBlends premade PizzaRia and i have a sneaking suspicion that its really just TFA Pizza mixed at the proper %. i plan to get this flavor and do just that.

speaking of savory vapes, my curiousity got the better fo me and i mixed up some TFA blue cheese (Good Prophets was selling 10ml flavoring for like a dollar lol). i was hoping for blue cheese crumbles, but it tastes more like the dressing. not bad, but not 100% what i was looking for. still, it goes smashingly along side a nice dirty martini. as does the PizzaRia. gotta have a savory vape with my dirtys (and Bloodys, too). :vapor:

FYI the blue cheese was mixed at 15%, which is just fine for me.

On another note- I just mixed up:
Bittersweet Chocolate 12%
Vanilla Swirl 3%
Ethyl Malto 1%

Gonna give it a go in a few
:?:

Not really that good, setting aside to steep for a few weeks
Just a guess
I would try doing this lower the
Bittersweet Chocolate to 4-6%

Go with TFA Dulce De Leche 4% (It tastes a little like Chocolate to me)
Bump Vanilla Swirl to 4%
Possibly add another Cream

then let it sit for awhile.

Even for cooks Chocolate is a huge challenge!

I have read Hoosier's blog and I am aware that flavor gets away at too high a concentration. I got 15% after multiple attempt so I might be at step 4. Unless TFA flavors are so sensitive that I overshot it, which is maybe a possibility. I am still a newb after all

Where can i read this blog? I tried adding more banana nut but now it doesnt taste like banana nut
