what am I missing?
This is what I have for Bills Twinkie recipe

Twinkie

Vanilla Cupcake - 8%
Sweetener - 4%
Bavarian Cream - 4%
Sweet Cream - 4%

Somewhat confused here because I thought the flavorings were usually 28-30% and this is only 20%
My recipes usually fall between 20 - 30% flavoring. I have one over 30%. When I mix, I start with less flavoring and add flavoring until I find the sweet spot for me. In the case of the Twinkie recipe, I reached that point at 20%. I suggest you try it at 20% and then add flavoring to suit taste. For me, the Twinkie was spot on at this point. YMMV. Good luck! :toast: :D

Thanks to all that give me welcome Hi
Yesterday i tested some flavors and after that i just poured them all in one bottle, who know what will happened. Flavors where sweet creme, Vanilla ice cream and Graham Cracker(not the dark one,so i guess that's clear one). Man that was something that remind me on Claim your throne. So i will work some time on that now with Bills 100 drops technique. And report beck when i have some.
I tested few drippers and i wasn't satisfied with flavor.I wanted kayfun flavor with possibility to change cotton easy. This is whit what i end up, Orchid dripper:
Orchid base
$4.84 Replacement Base for Orchid V3/V4 Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Nano Kit for kayfun, you can pop up upper part to drip:
$4.96 Replacement Tank + Chimney Nano Kit for Kayfun / Orchid - quartz glass + stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
and Kayfun top cap
$2.45 Replacement Top Cap for 22mm Kayfun Lite / Kayfun v3.1 at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Thanks Bill! I made the Mango Custard recipe last night. Tried it in a dripper and loved it! Going to let it steep about 10 days and will try again and report back

Well after reading some more of Bills' blog I am NOT, I repeat NOT going to wait 10-14 days to try my Mango Custard again. I am going to try it tonight at 24 hours and adjust as needed. I read that it makes Bill nuts when anyone thinks 2 weeks will change things and I do not want to make him nuts (I need him

I have a question for you, Bill -- you know I've been using the HFM technique with my strawberry & cream. I've been wondering, if I want to try and reduce the amount of flavoring I'm using, where is a good place to start? Just take the recipe I'm using, and use half as much of everything (except nic!), and see how it does? I'm aware that going to a lower concentration of flavoring will probably mean I'll need to steep for some length of time, but since this particular juice seems to have extraordinary "staying power" as my ADV, I'm thinking that doing a mix that requires some steep time might not be awful; I could do a small HFM bottle for right-now vaping, and a larger bottle with less flavoring, to let sit for a while. Any pointers?

Thx!
Andria

The State of Confusion
ugghh sorry folks
another question
Was looking at Techy's zip file and very interested in making the Werthers
This is what is listed:
Werthers

6% Butterscotch

5% Caramel

4% Vanilla Cream

5% Caramel

5% Vanilla Custard

5% butterscotch
It says Butterscotch twice, different percentages?

I just want to mention that the file is a culmination of what has been posted here on ECF in the TFA thread...if it needs an edit, please, edit it...

I just copy and pasted them to TXT files.....

NyUK...NyUK...Cytunly....

I *finally* got my flavors today... I was worried that they weren't going to make it here even today, when I saw they only got to my local PO at 8:45am -- though they got to ATL shortly after 10am yesterday! But fortunately they made it onto the mail truck in time.

I think the combo of a) actual TFA sweetener, and b) TFA sour, will fix the problems I was having with sweetener. In that 30ml I just mixed yesterday (was trying to wait for the new flavors, but was running out of my strawberry & cream so I had to mix a small bottle to get me by!), when I first mixed it, I used only 1% sweetener (because all I had was the ECX branded sweetener) instead of my usual 2%; so this morning, I went ahead and added the additional 1%, now that I have TFA sweetener, AND 3 drops of the Sour. It tastes very good, so I'm happy. :D

Still very curious though, about learning to mix my favorite vape with less flavoring -- it would sure help my gunking problems, if I can figure it out.

Actually ONE more question
Searched Bills' blog to no avail
Also in Techy's zip file is Lemon Poundcake-almost dropped my mood got so excited!
It lists 7% DIY poundcake and I cannot find this recipe anywhere
Can anyone provide it?

Probably DIY Flavorshack. They have a poundcake flavoring.

Thanks, but I'm not interested in mixing YET... I am holding back from that, trying single flavors. Starting low (2%) and working up to see where I actually like the flavor. It will be tedious, but I figure that's better than taking a fabulous recipe and finding out too late that there is one flavor in the Mix that I just don't like. Then maybe I'll try a few recipes. Question; when mixing fresh samples (ex: 4% Crème de Menthe), do you wait a day or two, or just load it up and try it ?

(although that Bill's Twinkie mix mentioned earlier seems like one to write down for later...)

When trying single flavors, I usually give it some time to blend with the nic added.
In your case, I would give them 24 hours, and a good shake everytime you walked by or think about it.

Bill's "Twinkie" is good stuff.
I reduced the flavoring when I made it, because I knew it would "sit" awhile, which would improve it automatically.
It's one of the few recipes he only calls for 20% total flavoring, and I think I will make it with that total next time, just to see the difference.
It's very smooth, sweet and yummy, even though I didn't use the full % called for on the first batch.
I will keep the reduced version of the recipe to use in my Reos, as the Reo really brings out the flavor.
I may of "tweaked" the % , but it's already in my "keeper" file.

I've wondered the same thing. I haven't tried this yet, but I have lots of really small bottles that I might have to mix a bit this weekend. Bill had responded to a similar post I'd made a while back, and he doesn't indicate a "magic proportion". I like the idea of 50-75% of "normal" recipes.

I figure with a 6ml bottle, I wouldn't be "wasting" - and if it's a bust, I can always bump to "normal" values and keep moving on....

hmmm..24 hours later and my Mango Custard has been tried. I like it, not sure I LOVE it. Would almost like to tweak it but not sure where to begin. I wonder if it made a difference that I made it 50/50?
Any thoughts on how to tweak it greatly appreciated.
I used this recipe:
Mango Custard
Mango 11%
Cotton Candy 7%
Vanilla Custard 6%
Bavarian Cream 6%
I almost feel like it needs more Mango so I added 1ml but not much difference
