I like High Flavor Mixes, frequently 30% flavoring. I also like a 70%/30% VG/PG mix for my gear. As such, I have to mix with 100% VG Nicotine, or else I will exceed the 30% PG in my juices. So, I always buy the 100% VG Nicotine at 100 mg/ml strength, which allows the easiest mixing for me possible, and stays within my 70/30 ratio. Regarding the thickness of my VG, I use a large 100 ml syringe with a large opening and have no trouble even with the thicker VG. This enables me to avoid using PG Nicotine. I always mix to 30% PG regardless of the flavor mix by adding in additional PG when necessary.
Also, by doing the mix this way, I can mix my flavors to 30% PG and store them as a base. I keep about 30 flavors in these 30% base solutions. Later, I will add the nicotine (VG) and VG to the mix so I can mix to any nicotine level. The family vapes from 0 to 18 mg/ml of nicotine, so this saves time with the flavor bases premade, but still allows any nicotine level I may want to use for the family.
I like the 100 mg/ml nicotine as well. Works perfectly for the 100DT test mixes (1 drop equals 1% nicotine and 1% of volume). Also, my ADV's I usually make in increments of 100 ml. So, I may may a 500 ml batch of cinnamon Danish at 6% it's 30 mils (5 x 6 mls/100ml batch). So, this keeps the numbers really easy. Also, my whole recipe works the same. So, I need 10 mls of CD, 10 mls of Cotton Candy and 6 mils of Bavarian cream per 100 mils of mix. Then, I mix to 30% PG so I need 7 mils of PG, 6 mils of VG nicotine and 64 mils of VG, as follows:
Cinnamon Danish
Cinnamon Danish - 10% or 10 mils per 100 mil batch
Cotton Candy - 10%, or 10 mils per 100 mil batch
Bavarian Cream - 6%, or 6 mils per 100 mil batch
Total Flavoring - 23%, or 23 mils per 100 mil batch, plus
PG - 7%, or 7 mils per 100 mil batch, plus
Total PG = 23% flavoring plus 7% PG, or 30% PG, or 30 mils PG per 100 mil batch
VG Nicotine - 6%, or 6 mils per 100 mil batch (this will vary for each of us), plus
VG - 64%, or 64 mils per 100 mil batch.
I hope this makes some sense to you. Because the percentages and mils match (per 100 mil batch), I can easily keep all of this straight in my head. So, this is one reason to use the 100 mg/ml nicotine base flavoring with VG, because it matches my own mixing scheme of things. YMMV.
By the way, the tapered syringes can be cut to allow large openings when using VG, as well. This provides a way to use really thick liquid without causing a problem with flow during mixing. I don't use any needles except with PG, using tapered syringes and the much larger syringes for the VG, and I have no problem with this at any time. I buy my VG by the 5 gallon bucket and store it at room temperature. I do move from the bucket to a liter bottle for everyday use, though I don't store any of these in the fridge or freezer. I have not had a problem with any of the flavors or bases, some three years old.
By the way, I second the My Freedom Smokes Nicotine sale:
https://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/nic...nicotine-smoke-juice-e-liquid-liter-sale.html, and just ordered another liter of the 100 mg/ml VG Nic today. Good luck to you all! BTW....YMMV....!
