Bill I've been at it for a while now and still don't have all of those on your list. Some by choice like apple I can't stand. Others I just haven't gotten to a recipe where I've needed them. I think I'm at around 80 flavors so far and making a list for another order.
Do you not like apple pie? Most people seem to love it.

Regarding my list of recommended flavors, I only included flavors in which I've used those specific flavorings at least three or four times, or more, in different recipes. I tend to make complex flavorings of generally six to eight flavors, but not everyone mixes that way, so some mixes won't have subtle nuanced flavorings, but I like mine that way. Also, we all have different taste preferences. For example, you don't like apple, but I can tell you from experience, that my most popular juice is a dutch apple pie ala mode. It's always going to be a to each their own kind of application and selection in DIY. Having sold juice commercially, I have a pretty good feel for the most popular flavorings, but I can assure you that no one has a handle on all the flavorings available. When I put together flavor lines for vendors, the types of ingredients that sold the best did include the list I provided, and I think it is helpful for the new member to have this information, though their taste preferences may lead them toward many other places that I didn't cover. Tobaccos comes to mind.

At the end of the day, everyone's list is going to be mostly the same, while being slightly different because many of the base ingredients and secondary supporting flavors are the same in all types of mixes, such as creams, vanillas, and sweeteners, among others. Anyway, it's the best I can do, and I do think it will be helpful to the new juice maker in their DIY journey. Ciao and Good luck! :toast: :D

I think it's great that you share that list and it really helped me. I have tried many Apple vapes and do like to eat apples and apple pie but it's one of those flavors I can vape for a few minutes and be sick of. I haven't tried the recipe you mentioned. It's kinda like you said before about how vaping something can be quite different from liking the flavor when actually eating something.

    What juice is that Kazz?

Heya Sweetheart! I was responding to Lynn's post about a Strawberry Shortcake juice that she tried and she's looking for a recipe. I was just saying that basically I'd be no help on that one because it seems to be complex in a way that I've been unable to reproduce. :)

Vapebase dot de or owl-dampfer dot de are dedicated base shops. For flavours I would recommend savevape dot nl, they obviously are in thr netherlands but they carry an enourmous amount of flavouring from many manufacturers.

Im Belgian, and never had any problems ordering cross-border with any of those shops. (Hopefully that will stay this way because the ......ed Muppet government here decided to make ordering vape gear over the internet illegal. )

Thanks kfoxxx!!! Much appreciated and I will pass on the info to him. Would you mind if I just quoted your entire post into a PM that I've got going with him?

I just put another order in with BCV. They had the shisha strawberry back in stock so I got one of those to try and after the discussion yesterday I got yellow cake too. The others were just restock and I got white chocolate so I can make the famous cheesecake recipe.

I recently ordered from them , just about five 10 ml bottles , shipping is very high compared to another company that is in the same State and the same distance away from me (MyFreedomSmokes) .

Their shipping is $2.54 for first class , BCV was over $6.00

I don't know why the shipping was so high on your order. Mine was five bottles including one 30ml and my shipping was 3.34. I thought that was reasonable.
That's about what my average shipping has been with them. The only times my shipping gets even close to $6 is if the weight goes too high for first class, and the only option is priority.

The flavorings can last for years if stored properly. I can't recall a single flavor having gone bad yet, and I've been at it for four years. Good luck! :toast: :D

I store mine in brown glass bottles with droppers as caps in a cool dark place. I assume thats thr proper way? Do organic flavourings keep as long as synthetic ones?

I dont want to go off topic but I havent found a thread where this wouldbe appropriate to ask: i mix by weight and would like to try the 100dt method. But ive noticed that the flavourings have different viscosities and thus dont have the same percentage/weight value although i use identical droppers in each bottle. To get .1g some take 3 drops, some up to 4-5. How does this translate into 100dt ? I assume you need to compensate for the inaccurate weight? I would think there is not much difference with mixing 5ml by weight regarding development speed ?Thanks!

I don't worry about viscosity. I use all the same bottles and just count the drops. If it's not where I like it then I add what I think it needs. I've tried several of the Dropbox recipes just counting drops and it has always come out close to how I want it to taste.

Perfection in weight measurement is not required to make great juice. Sometimes, being really, really close is good enough, and no one (presumably) can tell the difference in flavoring anyway. I know that I can't, and my sense of the thing is not half bad. So, that being said, I wouldn't worry too much about perfect accuracy, and exactitude. We're just trying to get a sense of proportion, and get in the ballpark, and to do so quickly on the 100DT. All I can say is that it really does work for me just fine, and other people seem to like what I'm doing and how I'm doing it for the most part. Give it a try. It very well may work for you too! Good luck! :toast: :D
