Hi Kaezziel,
I know you previously posted that you "can't put your finger on it" but could you describe anything about what you feel is incomplete about this to you? (I know that's an unfair question when you have already stated that you don't know. ) Is it not "fruity" enough, or missing "depth", or too " one note-y", or...? When you were first creating this recipe; what were you shooting for? What did you see in the end product?

I'm becoming a Pear fan and your recipe looks interesting. I am wanting to play with it this week but it would be helpful if I had some idea what direction you were trying to move it. Of course I make zero promises; what I want in a vape may not be anywhere close to what you want. :D

BTW... Thanks for sharing (your Brickhouse Custard too... its on my next mix list)!
:toast:

I guess, if I had to try and put it into words, there isn't enough pear... but adding to the pear percentage doesn't seem to help. Maybe I need to try a different pear concentrate? It's really hard for me to figure out exactly what it's missing. What I was going for was a bowl of fresh, ripe, sliced pears drizzled with honey... I want to make a similar flavor with strawberry instead of pear. I'm starting to wonder if maybe I should try the strawberry... if that one works, then I'd know that I just need to find a new pear. This has been the single most frustrating flavor I've ever tried to come up with...

    Somewhere between here and there
In the whole 17 compartment case...I just figured a maximum of about 204 10mL bottles would fit in it. 4 corners @ 10 in each = 40 bottles; 13 square sections @ 12 in each = 156 bottles; in 2 small extended parts of square on each side of the handle area 2 @ 4 in each = 8 bottles.

    40 + 156 + 8 = 204 approx. total

Thank you so much for all of your help. It sure sounds like the 17 compartment box would be a great fit for me. Even if I have to pay the $16 retail price I think it would be worth it.

Awesome, brother! I've tried it at the 1 week mark or so... it definitely continues to develop over time. This is the only one that I've really steeped, and it definitely needs it. Patience is a virtue, but I suck at it! Can't wait to hear what you think!
I wrote the date i made it on the bottle, and stashed it at the back of the cabinet so if i find it before then, the date will remind me to leave it alone haha.Only problem i'll have now though,is if it tastes as good as it smells,i'll immediately want to make more, but when i pulled the flavors to make it,i had a little surprise haha.I could have sworn i got the french vanilla creme and the vanilla bourbon in 4oz. bottles, turns out i got them in 4ml bottles haha,so those don't go very far.I'll be placing an order with Tfa well before i taste this juice so i can make sure i'm covered haha.

Gotcha! I've got an original recipe I have been tinkering with for the last year. It's a wintergreen breath-mint effort. I got the idea from a local brick & mortar house mix. I liked the idea but it was pretty weak. In fact, that was what got me started mixing. They also carried a small variety of flavorings so I started doctoring their mix and finally abandoned the mix all together and started from scratch.
Like you, I got something vapable, but it wasn't where I wanted it. So I would work on it for a couple of weeks, then put it aside for a month or two, then come back to it and tweak some more. Each time I get it closer until I just about have it where I want it.

Back to your creation; may I ask at what percentages you have tried the Pear at with this? I ask because some flavors (to some people's taste buds) will actually start to diminish if you use too much. Same question for the sweeteners: Honey and Cotton Candy? Many mixers feel sweeteners such as EM (Cotton Candy) and sucralose can be flavor killers. Though, to me, your percentages don't look excessive (although I have not successfully used TFA's Pear above 10%).
I just checked my inventory and I've got everything but the French Vanilla Creme. I have TFA's three other French Vanilla variations so I'll have to fudge just a bit. I'll let ya know when I have something intelligent to say... who am I kidding; that has never stopped me in the past.

Yep, I'm in the same boat. I mixed a 30mL tester and now it's gone. :( I did mix up a 6oz batch last weekend, and it's steeping now. I'm running out of vanilla custard and dulce de leche, so I'm going to have to order more of those very soon. I need to get a two batch rotation going so that I don't run out of Brickhouse! :D

If I remember right, I started out at around 15% Pear, and 6% Honey... TFA Honey is VERY strong, and couldn't taste anything else. I've worked the percentages down and added in the peach in hopes that it'll round things out. I haven't gone very high in the sweeteners either, though it may need a touch more.
As to not having the French Vanilla Creme... I'm open to trying a completely different flavor here. I just wanted to add a little cream and vanilla to smooth things out and bring in a bit of vanilla. Anything else that might be better would be more than acceptable! :D

Hey Kaezziel, I forgot to ask in my previous post, what PG/VG ratio do you like to mix at?

Pretty much all of my mixes are 30pg/70vg and 5mg/ml nic.

There is a company called Real Flavors that sells a "Oreo Cookie" flavor that I hear is better than the FW version. By itself it is supposed to be dry, but adding in the flavors of that chart might help.

Just imagine how i'm gonna feel if it tastes as good as i think it will,i only had enough of those 2 flavors to make a teeny tiny little 15ml sample haha.I think i'm going to get those flavors ordered this week,so i can get another batch going, because 15ml won't last anywhere near the month i would have to wait if i don't get the flavors soon haha.

    Hi Simply Red,
That's from a compilation of @Bill's Magic Vapor recipes (all those recipes that start with the flavoring percentage like 30% Oreo Cookie & Oreo Cookie II" are from Bill's compilation that ItTechy referenced with the dropbox link). Maybe Bill will chime in here and let us know what he used. Ive got a few of my own flavor questions from the same list but I will post those in a separate message.

Hahaha! Yeah, you're gonna wanna order those! 15ml would barely fill my squonk bottle... and I can empty that thing in a day! Even 6oz won't get me through an entire month, unless I sub in other flavors to take a break. One word of warning, though... Brickhouse seems to be a fairly heavy gunker. I had to pull wicks and dry burn the coils after about 15ml... soooooooo worth it, though!

Bread pudding?!??!? Add a brown sugar bourbon sauce, and I'm in heaven!!

    Hi @Bill's Magic Vapor,
@Simply Red 's previous post reminded me that I have a list of flavors that I wasn't able to positively ID from your EJMU recipe compilation. Earlier in this thread you said that this is from other forum members putting the compilation together; so I don't know if it is just typos or if the flavors had different names at the time (or could even be discontinued flavors). I know you mostly (?) use TFA but I couldn't figure these out:
    Caramel Mocha
used in: 20% Caramel Mocha Espresso
    Desert Ship
    used in: 30% Tobacco Danish
Double Chocolate (unspecified Clear or Dark)
used in: many (whoever compiled these did not specify TFA's Clear or Dark Double chocolate. I seem to remember reading somewhere on this forum that you have stopped using DC Dark and now use DC Clear for everything. Would you clarify please?)
    Fireball
    used in: 20% 54 Fireball
    Orange
used in:22% Mike's Orange Blast, & 25% Orange Dream Cycle
    Oreo Cookie
used in: 30% Oreo Cookie, & 30% Oreo Cookie II
    Peanut Butter Cup
used in: 30% Peanut Butter Cup
    Premium Tobacco
used in: 30% Tobacco Danish (I think this is TFA's M-Type Premium Tobacco but wanted to make sure)
    Rum
used in: 30% Bananas Foster Cream, & 30% Monkey Business
    Strawberries
    used in: 30% Strawberries & Cream, & 35% Strawberries & Cream

Thanks for any light you can shed on these. I appreciate all the work you have done and your willingness to share your results with the rest of us. :D:thumbs::toast:
