One thing I don't ever remember seeing about "the List" of recommended flavor %'s is this based on 100% PG or 50/50 ratio? Any input appreciated...

Look a little way back on this thread. It is just a list that was compiled from member's own trials.

Some flavor vendors will give recommended percentages & I believe the original list we started with was made using those percentages.

PGA is Pure Grain Alcohol. A good example is Everclear. I have used the peach and vanilla flavored Vodka's too.

Does anyone have a starting point for TFA vanilla custard flavor?

If it is to combined with several other flavorings, most of the recipes I have on file and have seen are 4%. I would be careful with Vanilla Custard because of the warning on their site. (This flavor (no matter what company makes it) has inhalation risks if it contains either Acetoin or Acetyl Propionyl!) Let us know what you find out and decide to try.

WOW! Thanks for that tidbit of info!
I purchased this flavor from Wizard Labs and was under the impression that they didn't stock anything that is known to be a possible health risk!

Now I am unsure if I will use it for vaping at all or if I will just use it as a flavoring in my morning coffee

Again, thank you Rat2chat2 for pointing that out to me! Now off to check all my other TFA flavors I purchased from WL

Edit: It does state on TFA website that vanilla custard contains both Acetoin and Acetyl Propionyl

Just my :2c:............both are very good. I think the Ripe is sweeter tasting alone but when mixed with another flavor, my buds couldn't tell the difference. The Strawberry ripe does not have any alcohol whereas the Strawberry does. Good luck and let us know what you think (and make).;)

The Strawberry Ripe is very good as a stand alone @ 15% with a couple drops of TFA Sweetener.

I got some strawberry from TFA, but it had an off taste to it. May be it needs to add some EM.

The Strawberry Ripe needs to steep a few days. It will turn yellow when it's ready. If your flavor is off, try diluting it if you're getting a perfume taste or leave the cap off for a day or 2 if you're getting an alcohol taste. I haven't tried the regular Strawberry flavor and probably won't because Strawberry Ripe is perfect for me.
