Do you know if TFA/TPA uses Sucralose or "Splenda"?
Have you all heard about the health issues related to heating Splenda/Sucralose? its bad.

Geez, ... I choked on my coffee reading this.

I have been using Splenda by the tons to replace the sugar in all my recipes, sauces, general cooking, and coffee ... in other words,
everything ...since the early 80's.
I prefer liquid splenda instead of the powdered form since the powdered form has "fillers".
You cannot buy it in the store, but it's available on the web.

There are lots of different types of sweeteners nowdays, under different names, some natural like Stevia.
I can't vouch for them, but I know Splenda.

It is VERY concentrated and I wondered if I could use it for vaping when I wanted to sweeten a juice.
I ended up buying sweetener for DIYing at the same time I was buying some flavoring... then I found out what they used.
I diluted mine way down in PG and have been using it for over a year.

There is not .. I repreat NOT any health issues, caused by splenda, heated or not.

The sugar companys are as bad as ANTZ
When it comes to saving their profits, they have been known to spread rumors off and on for years.
I don't know if that's where this originated from, but Splenda is perfectly save to use, hot or cold
Prior to that, I was using EQUAL ... now that's a different story, and yes, bad for you.

Form your own opinion, but they will have to pry my Splenda from my room temperature fingers.
It's a "staple" in my kitchen, and has been for almost 40 years ... I'm still hale, hardy, and "here"

Cubano resembles Flavourart Black Perique. I don't think it is an standalone flavor.

Currently my favorite and all day vape is M-Type, 1 small pippette drop in 10ml of base (mine is 24mg nic, 50%PG 50%VG). This simple recipe can be vaped right away, but improves a bit after a week or two. BTW, I used to hate M-Type because the higher concentrations that were suggested by some users, which make you wonder if you are vaping barn disinfectant!

Interesting.... I have a bubble gum steeping about 5ml at 10% I believe which I have not tested yet
Come to think of it I have never used bubble gum as a stand alone. It might be just a combination with other flavors... Now I'm gonna try it as a stand alone and see what gives...

Thomasis. I been sick with flu and haven't had much taste buds. I'll test the bubblegum today and let you know what I think.

I just got a newsletter article about it and I know i've seen sucralose as a sweetener somewhere… like Capellas… I may have missed notices about this but I will have to start checking.

TFA Sweetener is sucralose but the studies I have been reading are talking about "eating" large quantities of it and the studies about heating it are talking about temperatures over 350 degrees fahrenheit/180 celsius. I'll still keep using it in the miniscule amounts I have been using when Ethyl Maltol/Cotton Candy doesn't make it sweet enough.

I believe too much of any one thing is bad for humans--yes, even dihydrogen monoxide and pure O2!

I have to be really careful with bubblegum. Anything over 4% and I get a rubbery aftertaste. I use bubble gum a lot for mixing with fruit flavors.

I gave it a taste in a 510 atty. even tho my taste buds are still somewhat muted - I think I'm in agreement with you about saving the bubble gum to mix with fruit flavors and using less percentage

Actually, all the sugar substitutes including Aspartame and Sucralose (Splenda) have been linked to cancer. More investigation needs to be done, but there are many scientists who suspect that the higher rates of cancer we are seeing today have a lot to do with the sugar substitutes we eat, as well as all the processed foods. Safest thing you can do is eat whole, real foods. Avoid anything "diet": or low fat - instead, just eat less.

I would avoid inhalation of fake sugars as well if possible, although no studies have been conducted on that to date. There is certainly a difference between ingesting and inhaling, but until real research is done, all vaping regardless of the flavoring ingredients, is of course a risk. I prefer to use a natural sweetener in my e-liquid like Stevia, but again, this is a grey area.

I'm surprised not to see USA Mix in this collection......I bought a bunch of flavorings from a vendor that said all their flavors were unleaded and by apprentice. I'm just looking for a good place to start percent wise in mixing this with nicotine and unleaded VG? I guess I'll start with 20% flavoring like I do most, was just looking for a good percentage to start (some are stronger then others)

Thanks,
Larry

I haven't used any tobacco flavors and that blend isn't on the suggested percentages chart but of the tobacco flavors on the chart; most start much lower than 20% I would start at 2.5% & work up.

Anyone want to share their experience with eggnog? % used? or mix it with anything? thanks!

I mixed at 10% and thoroughly enjoyed. All the pleasure and none of the guilt! :)

I'm hoping to add a little WFA Brandy or Cognac flavor to my next batch -- but can't find any guidance on suggested percentages. Anyone?

thanks for this and the other post that took time to look inside the info to get those temperatures re; heating sucralose.

"too much"… have you known smokers who will smoke when sick with respiratory ailments? asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, even lung cancer?
I tend to go too far too often… so it would behoove me to be a little OCD about the ingredients and all.
Cheers to those that do things in moderation!

between here and there

I did not like the bubblegum from tfa much at all. Mixed it as a stand-alone and at 5% could hardly taste it. At 8% had a weird, almost creamy aftertaste, so I mixed it with some bg I had from flavorwest just so I could vape it. I hear the LA has the best bubblegum and also DIY Flavor Shack. FW need high % but does taste like bg.

:)

Hello, has anyone tried the new Cola Cherry flavor? If so what did you think? Just ordered some on WL

I've mixed it for a friend and have it steeping. It smells really good. She likes the cola a lot if that helps any.
