hey gtbb...our diy is very high VG...just the flavoring and the 100mg nic is pg...
I have had no issues using mostly VG ... the juices I have made are just basics really. 1-3 flavors only.
I am happy to share but still experimenting because somehow the tastebuds have changed and thus the experimenting. I haven't found many purchased juices that are to my liking and this is why I diy...but it is an ever evolving and changing recipe...

Hi JoJo! Do you and Yankee vape mostly 100%vg. And would you care to share some of those. I never hard much luck with 100%vg while diy.

Can I use PG instead of PGA? Wouldn't the PGA have that high alcohol flavor and where to purchase because in my area, can't get it...
Im in Massachusetts...not legal here.

I dilute it down to 10% in PGA to make a flavoring out of it. Usually 3ml of TA and 27ml of PGA, shake and use sparingly.

I bought tobacco Absolute from TRS Vapes. They say it is TFA tobacco Absolute diluted 50% with 190 proof PGA. It is very dark brown in color.

I have the thick stuff (pure TA), and dilute it 50% with 190 proof, to get a more consistent drop size. I use 8 drops (with the tiny pipette I got from TPA) of this mix for 50ml. So, with that little amount of flavoring, I'd think any vodka, or even PG, would work for diluting it, and not affect final product's flavor.

Yes, use 2 drops in 10mls PG or you can buy it already mixed...Tobacco Blend (PG).

I seriously doubt you would like what happens when diluting it down with PG.

Since you live in an area with that type of government mentality, you may want to try the highest proof vodka allowed by those in power.

Or you could visit a state that allows the sale of the primary ingredient for Harry Buffalos and grab a pint?

Ahh!!! Then we have met!! You gave me a sample of the Choco Mint, vaped threw it in half a day, delish!!

My single flavor attempts have definitely improved with age, i have yet to modify them.
The mango is still lacking, and the lemonade is not quite right though.
I really need to set some time aside after the boy has gone to sleep to tinker. Time is my biggest enemy and obstacle in this whole DIY world i have haphazardly committed myself to!

A friend gave me this recipe for strawberry lemonade, seems simple enough that i will give it a try (hopefully tonight) and pray for the best. The lemonade i have is FW, and since i dont have EM, ill be substituting sucrose, i think i may want to bump up the percentages by a point or two, whatcha think:
8% TFA strawberry and 4% FW lemonade 2 drops EM for 15Ml bottle

Update... I got my vape-mail the other day! Yahoo. Mixed up about 12 new flavors, and none of them really sucked. I mixed some single flavors and some juice with 5 flavors. I was quite happy with the results. The only thing I have noticed is that I mixed on the low end of the percentages and they are all really light in flavor. I am going to let them all steep for a few days and see if that helps. I think I am really going to like the DIY!! I also have another odd question. I use the e-juice me up calculator and next to where you enter your flavor name there is a box that you can mark for no PG or VG flavors or you can fill the percent of PG/VG. I only have TPA flavors and they are all mixed in PG but they are the flavor concentrates, do I need to click that button to make them zero pg/vg or do I keep them marked as pg 100%? I hope this makes sense...

I found a good use for the peanut butter that takes away the dominant roasted peanut flavor.
A peanut butter / chocolate delight.
All TFA
8% peanut butter 4% double chocolate clear 2% bavarian cream
Steep (I steeped 1 hour ultrasonic hot water shaking about every 10 minutes)
Started with a recipe I found online that was 8% pb 8% dcc 4% bc
Worked the later two down in percentage to get the peanut butter dominate then back up to what I ended up liking the best.



Edit: Forgot to mention 20% nic 2/3 VG 1/3 PG was what I had premixed then I added the flavors in.

Try it first without sweetener to see if it even needs it. Sometimes the concentrates are sweet enough without sweetener.

EM and Sucralose do different things, so there's not really a ratio for substitution.

I have only purchased TA from 2 sources: Wizard Labs and RTS Vapes. TFA has always been out. My original recipes were developed with the WL at 10%. The RTS is 505 and the only source I can use presently, so I am diluting it to 10% before using it.
I first started questioning when someone said there TA was as thick as Vaseline and I knew my TA was NOT, so began the search for what was really going on. I discovered that is fault lay in my lack of research into what I was buying.

In your previous post you highlighted "Be careful of % when buying from sources other than TPA" is why I asked.

Based on this reply, should list should really say "Tobacco Absolute (1. Pure)" because WL is selling either Tobacco Absolute Blend (Alc) ( TFA ) or Tobacco Absolute Blend PG ( TFA ) which are both pre diluted and your 505 sounds like it is the pure as you have to dilute it?

I just want to jump in to agree 100% with Hoosier on this, especially the final words: "use sparingly." He should have added !!!!

Tobacco Absolute has its uses, but to many people it tastes like lawnmower sludge. I have way more than a lifetime supply of the stuff. If you are a tobacco lover and an astute mixer, you can get some good results with adding just a tinge of TA to some tobacco flavors, but be very careful. It's really easy to get way too much into a mix. Dilute it and use sparingly!!!! It's a very "GREEN" flavor, like sucking on a blade of grass in some cases, or chewing tobacco in others. It will not make your vaping juice taste like a cigarette, just because it's the essence of tobacco. It's also kind of stinky, like burning grass, to some people.

Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible stuff. It can be used very effectively in some mixes if you are very careful with it, but it's not for everybody. Dilute it well and use sparingly! I think Hoosier said that.

I have this flavor and I really haven't messed with it to much but Its probably better at a lower percentage to add to something,I wanted to recreate backwoods brew Malty Toffee so I bought malted milk to combine with this but didn't quite find the right percentages at the time but it is a future project.But Toffee is probably better at about 8% or lower,But don't quote me.

Mocha/vanilla ice cream very gooood..
Strawberry/vanilla ice cream goood also
Carmel/vanilla cupcake baaad
Strawberry (ripe)/pie crust testing it now...

Also do you all steap or vape right away??

I vape right away... if it doesn't taste very good, I let it steep for a couple days. If it still doesn't taste good, I steep a little longer. Then if it doesn't taste good, I ....can it!
