I will soon be able to give a report on vanilla butternut and quince. I started with 9 ml (equal Vg-PG): 1 ml flavor.

I dont know what a quince is but I sure do like the sound of vanilla butternut--- If your experiment turns out good I will have to put it on my to get list

Quince is excellent at 10%-- it almost tastes like banana, but it is more sour than sweet. So far, there is nothing to like about vanilla butternut. You might enjoy rose candy even more at a bit less than 10%.

so no go on the butternut and a little less on the rose- thanks!!! :D

Oh good, I was thinking you were MIXING quince and vanilla butternut - it sounded like a strange combo. Now, quince and fig (even mixed with some cheesecake) I can somehow imagine. Weird, I know. What can I say, I love cheese plates.

WOW- I just started using my Acetyl Pyrazine 5% (PG), first attempt of course was tobacco, magic-----
but my mind in reeling, I am thinking of so many uses, coconut, bittersweet chocolate, Bavarian Cream, the list goes on..............

I think if you have any inkling for nutty notes in any shape or form you should buy a vial of Acetyl Pyrazine 5% (PG)

:p

Anyone have experience with kona coffee? I gotta say, I was excited to find this because I love kona Velvet Milkshake from Virgin Vapor. Let me tell you this... OMG... and not in a good way!!! 1 hit and I almost puked!! I mixed It 2% with milk chocolate, coconut candy, toasted almond, caramel. ALL I can smell and taste now is that kona which is hard to explain except it reminds me of when someone hits a skunk. It makes you gag it is so nasty. Is it possible that this gets better after steeping? I just can't imagine that steeping would make the nastiness less nasty! GROSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

Watching to see what happens :vapor:

Well the peanut butter & jelly is possible with peanut butter & grape jolly rancher & bavarian cream & sour & em
Been playing with those flavors in a dripper and don't have exact proportions
I started with premixed flavors and put in a bottle 40 drops 12.5% grape jolly rancher / 15 drops 10% peanut butter / 5 drops 4% bavarian cream / 2 drops sour 20% / 2 drops 10% EM in PG
The reason I say I don't have exact is because they were not all added at the same time so some was used out of the bottle then more added then some used etc about 12 times.
I recreated it from scratch with those proportions and put a new piece of cotton in the dripper but the grape was lacking.
I didn't have anymore grape jolly rancher made up and the wife unit was needing me so I added 1 small drop of grape jolly rancher straight flavor from a small needle to the second bottle and that did it.
Got to go now before I am in doo doo.

Curious - why Sour (because the Jolly Rancher is too sweet?) I only have TFA Grape Juice, I wonder how that would work - I'm thinking of not adding sour because I bet the juice is more tart than Jolly Rancher.

On a different note - my Caramel Cappuccino mix (2 drops in 15 ml.) turned - in a good way. When I first mixed it, it smelled awful and stunk up my bedroom for a week. Now, about 4 weeks later (I think) I smelled it and it smelled good, I even smell the caramel. I just tried it - it's not bad - not even very strong. I'm going to add some sweetener.

I think I have grape juice so I will try that when I can get to it. (Busy day today)
I don't have any premixed grape juice so I will put that on my list of things to do.
Also going to try to replicate from scratch the PB&J I created with the grape jolly rancher because it is really good.

It wasn't too sweet, but I added the sour (on a whim) next to last because the grape needed some "body" and that worked for some reason.
Then I added the EM to sweeten it up.
It is strange how flavors don't always mix like one would think they would.

BTW I didn't mention I am using 2/3 VG 1/3 PG 20mg/ml mix for my base before I mix with test flavors and ultrasonic steep.

It definitely takes some age. After 3 weeks on my first batch I doubled the second batch to 2 drops in 10ml.

Yup. Good description of Kona. I have a 5ml sampler of 'Kona Coffee' eliquid, and that was my initial take on it. Just opened the bottle again, sniffed, and it still smells about the same. Steeping about 1 year. I've been revisiting other flavors from that same vendor, and finding most seems to taste better to me diluted 50-50. Since my samples started at 24mg, and I'm now down to 12mg, I drip (into my igo-L) 5 drops of an eliquid, then 5 drops of no-nic PG/VG, and see what it's like.

My current take on this: it is a *very* strong Kona coffee flavor. Might be best to use it with another coffee-type flavor, as an accent, or even lower than the '1 drop/10ml' suggestion.

Edit: After trying this just now, I walked up to the wife (non-vaper/non smoker), and her only comment "why do you smell like skunk?"

Hahahaha... I literally laughed out loud!! I'm trying hard to find a fantastic sweet coffee vape that has a touch of nutty flavor... this is NOT it!!

I wouldn't write it off just yet. Try to make a batch, maybe with some sweet cream in it. Let it steep for 3-4 weeks and see if it mellows. I had the same experience with Caramel Cappuccino and it really turned out ok. I built up the courage to try Tiramisu last night. Now, I get to wait a month for that - oh goody! ;)

Try Irish Cream rather than Sweet Cream. It does much better at mellowing the Caramel Cappuccino. It hasn't been a week yet and it smells vapable (but the caramel hasn't come out yet so I'm waiting).

I did Tiramisu at 2% and 1% Sweet Cream, 1% sweetener. It took as much time (3 weeks) as the CaraCapp and it's strong but it wasn't as hopeless as I thought it would be smelling it fresh.
Next time I'm going 2% with 2% Irish Cream and no Sweet Cream. At first I thought there was no way I would try 2% Tiramisu again, it smelled horrid.

I got a few different coconut brands in:
TFA came first, and so far, so so... a little more perfumey than i wanted, even at 5-10%, and sweeter than i expected.

Got some today from Vaping Zone, and Capellas to play with.

-worried that TFA has Diacetyl....

From their website;
"The flavor chemical Diacetyl, which has been shown to be dangerous to inhale,
is NOT an ingredient in any of our products".

No worries :)

Koodala is good from 3-10 percent
try caramel cap at one drop per 20mls, its very good

How long are you steeping the CaraCapp? I noticed everyone in the CaraCapp thread was trying to vape it right away.

After steeping 1 drop in 10ml I found it too weak, it was too strong before aging. Much different than it tasted earlier. As MsComptrtchr said, the caramel part really comes out with some age. It's not there and then suddenly it is. I actually thought I was smelling a bottle of Caramel Apple when the caramel flavor came out with age.

Now I'm using 2 drops to 10ml.
