Hi,

I have only seen the tagerine in wholesale quantities on TFA.

Sandy

I did a search on the TPA/TFA site for the tangerine. They do sell a Tangerine Oil through the perfumer's side of the business. It's described as "superior grade oil." Looking at the description of it at WL, it described as "Natural Essential Oil." I wonder if they are the same thing? If anyone is thinking of ordering this from WL, it probably would be a good idea to ask about it.

Some TFA flavors are only available in the wholesale section, and that is what I assumed was the case here. It wasn't, but that's something to keep in mind in the future. Retailers, like WL, buy the flavors wholesale and repackage them.

Just a quick question. . .

I just received an order from TFA, and the ethyl maltol crystals that I had ordered (and paid for) were marked as "Back Order." Has anyone ever had something back-ordered from TFA? If so, are they generally quick about getting it sent? (I'm a little frustrated because out of the whole order, it's the one thing that I most needed!)

Played mad scientist earlier today. Peach Juicy is good to go without steeping. vaping it as I type.

Blackberry is good to go, too but is more of a candy type flavor than what I was expecting and it was exceptionally potent. Light flavor lovers will want to keep the percentage low on it. I used 7% and it is plenty flavorful. 5% would have been good enough for me.

I have 3 different chocolates steeping and a caramel. Definitely something weird with the chocolates but the caramel smells good--like Kraft or Brach caramels. My 16 year old son said the scent of 2 of the chocolates remind him of his grandmother which probably isn't a good sign. I can't decide if it's fake chocolate chips or what the scent reminds me of exactly. I want them to fully steep before I add anything to them. I knew they weren't going to make it on their own.

I used 10% on everything but the blackberry. I knew as soon as I opened the bottle to go lower on it.

Anyone else play mad scientist today?

Any suggestions for mixing the chocolate (clear) from TFA? I've heard that sometimes an additive like EM can bring out the flavor. It will be used as a secondary add to my coffee extract. Does the chocolate need to steep to bring out the flavor?

I mixed mine @ 10% I haven't sampled it yet. I have some peanut butter, coconut & peppermint ready to mix with it when it's ready.

Ok good so I may not be far off. I mixed at 15% because I think my taste buds are a bit weak. tnx!

I THINK I read somewhere that a little vanilla brings out the chocolate. I have not tried chocolate yet, although I have one from VZ, it scares me cuz I have not found a chocolate vape I like yet! Reading away....

Good news, I have some vanilla that I haven't mixed yet. I'll give that a shot.

Tnx gang!

ANYONE TRY LYCHEE FLAVOR tfa?

I may have mentioned that i have had nothing but fabulous results from TFA melon flavorings.
Cantaloupe, Honey Dew and Watermelon… each one is easy peasy (10%) win win win…. i couldn't believe it actually…

I've been on a melon kick from vendors and was so surprised how good this is…

BUT i've also been on a Lychee kick even moreso now and wow, the TFA Lychee is a disaster….
not sure if that is temporary, but at 10%, its pretty flippin bad… :(
steeping, maybe a sweetener… wow. jsut wow.
I respect TPA TFA, and maybe its just the purity of the ingredients and how they translate to vapor juice, but wow such a contrast from what i'm used to paying for in Lychee and this.
Actually i also got a bottle of Lychee from my other standby flavor vendor VZ, and you know it tasted almost same:
what i get is - green onions!
both of them…

OK i'll steep the little 5 mil i made and see… i'm buying Lychee from Bamskilicious (to die for) and another vendor as its my favorite, but i am able to stretch it with a base i make of coconut and cream (VZ) which is very good. and easy.

Sweet creme: does it turn sour? Mine smells rancid as heck. Received it in a trade so no idea how old it is.

-Lord

My sweet cream smelled pretty bad, too — I think that it is just the way it smells. According to the Perfumers Apprentice, it does not need refrigeration and has a shelf life of over 6 months.

YMMV...

Using too much of a flavoring can be worse than using too little. With TFA Lychee, start at 0.5% or 1% and steep and increase percentage until you find your sweet spot. Apparently 5% is too high for your particular palate. It really is a super flavoring and very versatile.

Initially my impression from watching a youtube review which first turned me to TPA/TFA was an old one that pointed out how "natural flavorings" which is abundant at the TPA site (Professional Flavorings - TFA)… used higher %.
Of course i like the idea of "natural"…
Then reading the charts of suggested % seems to affirm those higher percentages.

I know from "super concentrates" like VZ you only use 1% to 4%

thanks so much… I'll dilute it

i just checked my notes, and yes, i also had a 5 mil bottle of Lychee juice from VZ… not the flavoring, the juice ready to vape.

it tasted just like TFA flavoring…. green onions imo.

this is just an fyi…

btw i am diluting my 10% down to about 3% and will try …when i get brave enough.
