Ren, your Danish dough is good! It's really a smooth vape...I'm vaping it now...also did a mix with waffle/frosted donut, no sweetener,(the frosted donut is pretty sweet, I can add if needed) but yours is solid and balanced...one thing I think I learned is that this butter, a little goes a long way, but dang, this is quite tasty...after done this one, I will try the other, but you should be proud of this!!! I wonder how it'll be with adding the toppings/fruit filling? Fixed up my raspberry cupcake base...3% sweet raspberry, 3% raspberry, 6% van. cupcake, needs more work, but better than initial version..making progress, also mixed up some more recipes with papaya at lower %'s...ran out of bavarian cream, getting low on vg too :(

+1! yesss.gif goodpost.gif :D

Thanks for your input and I will definetly try your suggestions tonight... the scale was just my over thinking backwards way of saying I'd like to shoot for about half the sweetness I'm tasting not that it's like a tobacco donut or anything :D

I've also had a bad experience with M I'd just as soon forget and will use it lightly... Your council is always appreciated and I have your Brandon's Choice recipe saved in ejuicemeup calculator waiting for the missing flavors to arrive. Can't wait to vape it in honour of you and your son

A tobacco doughnut hmm,you may be onto something there haha.I got away from the tobacco flavors for quite a while, but here recently i realized i need that taste every once in a while to keep me happy,so i've just started back with them.I haven't tried the western yet,but if you have it,maybe try adding a bit of the red type, that one is pretty good on it's own and doesn't have that sweet taste to it,at least i don't get any from it.Adding a very small amount of m type actually sounds like a good idea as well.Like you i had a very bad experience with that flavor, actually 2 times because i tried it fresh and again after almost 6 months of steeping,i think it may have been worse the 2nd time haha.I never thought to use it as an addition, and since i thought i didn't want tobacco flavors,i traded off all of them i had,so now i am starting over.I'll have to give the western a shot,i think i may like it with a bit of sweet to it.

Know just what you mean about the M type flavoring. A useful additive, terrible on it's own. You might be quite surprised to know that M type is used in many "exotic" eJuices sold by many online vendors, and while it is used as a supporting flavoring, it is quite hard to miss, once you've tried it in DIY. Over time, though, one can acquire a taste for it in small doses of "exotic" mixes, and there's nothing else quite like it. The overall answer to your question about moving away from the sweetness is actually a good one. Saline also comes to mind. Nothing like a little salt to kill sweet, and a little goes a long way. That'll fix you right up without changing the flavoring, as well. Good luck with your project! :toast:

Has anyone figured out how to make chocolate. Only using chocolate and other various flavors and not just milk chocolate by its self. Ive tried it at 3 percent and it comes out alcohol tasting. Please help.

Short Answer:

1. Double Chocolate - 5%
2. Milk Chocolate - 5%
3. Vanilla Swirl - 7%
4. Sweet Cream - 2%
5. Cotton Candy - 7%
6. Butter - 2%
7. Bavarian Cream - 2%

Long Answer: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ade-chocolate-chocolate-covered-cherries.html

If you want to know how to adjust the chocolate from milk to dark chocolate, just read the blog. It explains every step, and how to use the 100 Drop Test (100DT).

Good luck! :toast:

Fudge brownie is great to work with

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

+1. Fudge Brownie is the only TFA flavoring that tastes like "Finished" chocolate out of the can. Remember, chocolate usually starts as a very bitter powder, just as our TFA flavoring does. You do have to add the egg, butter, milk, cream, sugar, etc. to it to make "chocolate." Good luck! :D

Sorry M type on my phone using taptalk, feel like I'm missing so much.

I use M Type by the drop as an additive, and never more than 1%, and then, only to copy an Agent Orange recipe. In normal use, I would limit it to perhaps .1% and then adjust up or down. :toast: :D

Im looking more for just
Chocolate at x%
With maybe
Sweetener at x%
I love algebra
Here's an example of how chocolate works in different candy bar mixes.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ce-flavoring-thread-chocolate-candy-bars.html, or

Butterfinger

Caramel - 8%
Peanut Butter - 6%
Cotton Candy - 2%
Double Chocolate - 1.5%
Milk Chocolate - 1.5%
Vanilla Swirl - 1%
Sweetener - 1%

Almond Joy

Coconut Extra - 8%
Toasted Almond - 6%
English Toffee- 3%
Milk Chocolate - 3%
Sweetener - 4%

Mounds Bar

Milk Chocolate - 6%
Kona Coffee - 2%
Coconut Candy - 2%
Sweetener - 4%
Whipped Cream - 2%
Dark Double Chocolate - 4%

Peanut Butter Cup

Dark double Chocolate - 2%
Milk Chocolate - 4%
Peanut Butter - 4%
Caramel - 4%
Sweet Cream - 2%
Vanilla Swirl - 2%
Sweetener - 2%

Snickers

Dark Double Chocolate - 5%
Milk Chocolate - 2%
Caramel - 5%
Bavarian Cream - 3%
Peanut Butter - 2%
Sweet Cream - 2%
Sweetener - 3.5%

I think these recipes are spot on. You'll notice that the basic chocolate ingredients are fairly much the same, with different supporting flavorings. TFA chocolate + sweetener is not a finished chocolate. It's a bitter sweet chocolate base only. Fudge brownie, as Mrs C mentioned, may be the only TFA chocolate that is not that way. Are you just trying to make chocolate, just chocolate? :D

Agent Orange is a commercial flavoring that Mike likes, I don't care for, and not just any Orange. When Mike sent me the sample, I detected orange, then M Type, and two other flavorings at first whiff. It was not hard to copy to probably 90-95%. Exact mixes are tough unless you know what brand(s) of flavoring the originator used to make them, then it's possible to do a 100% copy. When I told Mike about the M Type, he recognized it immediately as one of the critical missing ingredients. I know Mike has an updated recipe here somewhere, as well to his Agent Orange. He loves it! A strange orangy tobacco flavoring. I can see why it's popular, even addictive, just not my cup of tea.:D

:2cool:

Edit: Found Mike's Agent Orange:

Sure! I didn't have sweet orange from tfa but FW is similar so it looks likes this for me

Orange FW 15%
Tobacco 3%
M-type 1%
Smooth 1%
Koolada 1%

This recipe is 99% there I just need to tweak it to my personal taste. I think some lemon, gummy candy or citrus punch. Funny thing is the tobaccos individually taste like garbage! But mixed with orange it adds a very nice interesting spice. I had a lot of fun working with Bill on this one and look fwd to the next!! Thanks again bill!

Thank you for asking. Yes, about 85% atm. Should be ready to travel in a couple of days. Energy returned somewhat over the weekend. 85% is about 100 times better feeling than I felt for the last two weeks. :D

Ren and Mom both have a great start to your Danish keep it up

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

"Our" Danish! :D

Yes, I know! I think both of their efforts are simply amazing. I think their juices may be more like a base-stone recipe, and, just guessing, I can see them as a 20-40% mix with the Danish Topping recipes that we've also seen coming out. I will probably put this thinking to the test later this week. I really am waiting for my congested head to completely clear, so I can taste right. My sense of taste has been skewed for two weeks. Makes it tough on juice making!

My feeling about danishes, in general, is that 80%+ of the flavoring is the topping flavoring. I taste very little of the doughy flavoring. That being said, most of the top recipes use many of the doughy flavorings in Mom's and Ren's recipes, so I think it's going to work out just fine in the end. There is no question in my mind that this community effort is going to produce a better Danish for us all, as I think we already have. We just have to put it all together now. We are certainly at least 90% of the way there now, imho. Great job to everyone's contributions. Even the questions lately have been excellent. This has really been fun for me.! :toast:

Bill, I read your other post about the various candies, but wanted to quote something a little shorter.

I don't imagine these are all your recipes involving chocolate, but I'm realizing I didn't order milk chocolate. I have Double, Bittersweet, and plain old Chocolate (Clear). I know your recipes are what they are for a reason, but have you worked with/found any use for plain Chocolate flavor? It's definitely closer to milk than dark/bitter, but should I assume it might not do so well, if used instead of sweet?

I'll definitely try one of your chocolate recipes with that sub to see for myself, I was just curious if you had any more sage wisdom tucked away.
