I mixed up three 10 mil test batches the other day and have been giving them a couple days to steep.
Twinkie #2 because Twinkie didn't have enough flavor for me. Twinkie #2 didn't either!
Chocolate Milkshake is good! I like it!
I did a modified Key Lime Pie because my first test, 100DT was to much lime. I upped the wiped cream and added some Cheesecake,3%, and it's better for me!

Twinkie? Boy it's spot on ATM. Must fade quick though. Made Twinkie 2 because of fade effect. Did you try it ATM?

Not this batch. I only let it sit a couple of days in a full 10 mil bottle though! Shouldn't have faded that fast I wouldn't think!
Maybe I'll try it with the yellow cake and see what happens!

Thanks for all the responses to my question about testing flavors, btw. It is so great to have feedback, to hear different perspectives. IRL, I'm just about the only vaper I know :( One thing that came through to me from the responses is that I should consider trading in my protank minis for taifuns or kayfuns. I'm just worried about rebuilding on a small deck--I've never done it. And I'm still learning the Magma. :?:

YES ANDES MINT

Mmm... Andes mints. I could eat a whole boxful of these. Now I'm really thinking about how to achieve this flavor. I'm pretty sure the mint is peppermint, but it could be a mix. I will try to find out.

Benedictine has been on my mind, too. I've always had a thing for it. Something tells me the Benedictine vape will be a lot harder to get right than the Andes, though :)

Lirr, I rebuild my Evod/protanks and wick with cotton. I am happy with them. Works for me! I do have a Magma that I love and several other RDAs but I change flavors so much what I have works for ME. Not that a kayfun or taifun wouldn't be better - the Magma blows everything I have away for flavor- but my lifestyle the Evod/protanks work for me. Do you rebuild yours?

Going from rebuilding Protanks to a Kayfun wasn't too tough. Yes, the first time you actually see the deck its a shock how small they are (these macro pics make em look huge) but its not that bad.. The coils actually the easy part.. I can do my PTs in my sleep but it took me over a week to get the wicking on the Kayfun right hah..

Use Cotton Candy. TFA's EM. All I use.

Thanks Bill. I really do appreciate it. Now I am having another problem. Where do you recommend buying Nic. (100mg), PG and VG. The stuff I bought tastes green. I am now no longer trying to save money on supplies and instead want quality. I think just by DIY myself will save money on its own without buying the cheapest.
After all, it's not cheap if you are throwing it away. Plus, life is too short not to enjoy at least some of it. Thanks again for the info. God bless.

MyFreedomSmokes has nicotine on sale all the time for $50 a liter in 100 mg/ml. By far the best price I've seen. They supply much of the commercial juice makers too. Like everything else, it gets more and more expensive in smaller quantities. I do recommend that you get the 100 mg/ml in 100% VG since most vapers use a 50/50 or higher VG ratio mix such as 70/30 VG/PG. MFS also has nic in smaller quantities for lesser amounts too. Always fast shipping. I've also used Wizard Labs, but they are often out of certain sizes that I like.

Bill are all the flavors you use TFA? I was wondering about your peanut butter?

Always use TFA unless otherwise noted on the recipe. Most of the recipes posted on this thread are TFA entirely, and a few have mostly TFA with perhaps a single ingredient or two from other sources.

Hi all, I just finished making up my Thanksgiving Day Vapes from Bill's Bag O Recipes. For a light breakfast, Peaches and Pears. And for the deserts, Pecan Pie, Peach Cobbler, and Apple pie A La Mode.:D

I keep all but Peaches and Pears "in stock." Also, got the Marie Callender's version of all of those as well, plus chocolate cream pie. I'm going through a Buddha phase, what can I say? OMG, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! :D :toast:

Regarding the peppermint patty or chocolate mint, I would suggest a dark chocolate like this:

Double Chocolate - 6%... )
Milk Chocolate - 2%........ ) I try to keep the chocolate flavoring at 10%. It just tests best that way for me
Bitter Chocolate - 2% .....)
Vanilla Swirl - 6%............... ) Add your creams and vanillas (as you would with real chocolate)
Bavarian Cream - 4%......... )
Cotton Candy - 6% ............. ...... ) Sweeten to taste (this is a lot)
Butter - 2% .................. ) Butter is best in everything, don't you think?????

Now add your mint. I would think that peppermint and mint candy would be the two flavorings that would make this work. I might use them both together, as well as separately. Just taste test them to Nirvana. Guarantee this can be done in 8 100DT's or less! Also, there's a lot of flavoring in that chocolate. It could easily be adjusted to allow higher percentages mixes of the "mint." I like to keep my recipes at 30% flavoring or less and the chocolate is a real "ball hog" at the moment. Since I won't make it into the Vape Lab before the holidays (it's laminated coasters for Xmas this year), I wanted to get this out there. Would love to hear a final recipe from some of you chocolate mint folks...it's all here for the testing! :D :toast:

I tried this for the miss, and I can give our perception on how it worked. (Well, it was the old recipe you thought-created, I can go back to find the other one; This one is chocolate-only).

I'll just say that even though peppermint is strong, it can be a bit overwhelmed by chocolate, if you do want peppermint to be the star. However, we were looking for a very specific clone of a juice, where peppermint is the primary, and chocolate is a nice secondary taste (almost aftertaste).

The recipe you gave me to try had around 8:1 chocolate to peppermint. I'd probably try 4:1 next time, and see how that goes.

The "Chocolate" (not milk, but it is clearly a milk chocolate) really sweetened up the mix a lot. If you're looking for a darker chocolate, you might want a really low percentage of milk, or possibly skip altogether (which is blasphemy, I know!).

I never got around to making a 2nd tweaked batch, but it's going to happen soon, with all this new free-time I keep fantasizing about :) Bill really did give me all the tools needed to customize and create exactly what I'm looking for, it's just up to me to actually do it!

That is what I figured as it is the TFA thread but didn't know if you sneaked something in lol

TOO TRUE! I'm searching for a new signature, since this old one is starting to feel disingenuous... heh. (Problems, you know... .... happening, etc). Maybe I'll quote your wise saying :D

Dugwood, I am not an authority, but I've noticed a lot of people recommend Vaper's Tek nic. They have a liter of a "throat hit" nic on sale for (I think) 45- right now and they also sell some no-diacetyl flavors and pg/vg on their site. People who use VT nic are crazy about it. Their regular nic is priced maybe 15% more than most nics (MFS sale price excluded!) but its devotees are...well, just that. People really love it, say it has zero flavor, and almost no throat hit--if that is what you're looking for.

I went with MFS (the one Bill just recommended) when I made my first "big DIY purchase" recently, because MFS also has a lot of the supplies I needed and I needed to get up to 75- for free shipping at either place. I've heard good things about MFS nic too--or at least never anything bad. But I must say, I am looking forward to trying the VT at some point to see what all the excitement is about :)
