The State of Confusion
Is it weird that I busted out a calculator to calculate the price per gallon for this? Lol
6.62$ per gallon..I paid 20$ for mine.(w/free shipping from essential depot) I have had it for over a year now and have only made it half way though. Buying this wouldn't be justified for me unless I sold most of it. That's 110 years worth of glycerin. Even if I doubled my VG intake it's still 55 years worth. I don't plan on making it to 78 years old. haha

Besides that, I'd rather not have the department of homeland security kicking in my door and flash banging me because I ordered 'bomb making materials'.

Obviously sir you are prejudiced towards us OF folks!

AKA Old Farts LOL

None of us planned on living to 78, bad part is some do...

No, I am no where near 78, but how you said it reminds me of my youngest son.

I am member of VA, Vapeaholics Anonymous....:vapor:

I vape like 15ml a day and I don't honestly think I would use 55 gallons up before I die!

I am an addict...OK...OK...I admit it :D

But...but...commercial juicers buy it that way...I know you know that....

There is a vape shop in town, guy owns 2, of course they make their juice in house, and he bought a drum of VG and PG.

I have been DIY for about 4 plus years and I don't think I have used more than a gallon....

"Honestly in all this excitement I don't know if I used 5 or 6 gallons, this a .44 mod, the worlds most powerful mod, it'll blow your head clean off your shoulders, go ahead punk, lets see your mod, go ahead, make my day"

I could use a little help.... I have a bottle of candy cane that was mixed at 10% at 60 pg / 40 vg that turned gel like after about a month . Out of the 150 or so bottles that I have I mixed, none have done this but this one. Any ideas what happened?

Are all the bottles the same material?

Tobacco flavors take a good while to steep before they start to taste right. Some are really funky in the beginning, then after a few weeks will start to really come to life. You can accelerate this a bit by heating a glass of water in the microwave for about 1 minute and 20 seconds, then put the bottle in the water, shake it really good after the bottle has time to warm up,then let it sit until the water gets to room temp, then repeat this process again, finally let the bottle rest for about a day.It won't be completey finished as it will still change a bit,but it will be far enough along to see if it's what your looking for.

did not really turn out how i thought it would. anyone ever mixed these flavors before for a nice tobacco?

As b.m. and other have mentioned, tobacco does seem to require a longer steep time that other juices. it's been a really long time since I vaped a tobacco juice. I tried, perhaps, ten different flavorings and liked MyFreedomSmokes Marlboro Light (USA Light), and their Desert Ship (Turkish) the best. I used them as single ingredient mixes and vaped them for perhaps three months. When I discovered sweeter vapes, like cherry, I never looked back. The tobacco flavorings did help me at first. MyFreedomSmokes offered a tobacco sampler, I think they still do, of ten different flavors, and it was a good place to start.

If you are going to try to make more complex mixes, I recommend you start with proven recipes, and higher flavorings, that don't require long steep times, just to get the hang of mixing ingredients together. After two years of vaping sweet deserts and fruits, I gotta says that the tobacco's don't do it for me, and I can't make one now to save my life, so I have to defer to others for an actual recipe, other than the single recipe mixes mentioned. I haven't seen too many tobacco recipes on this thread, but there are a few, and you can do a thread search to find them. I wish you good luck! Learn from others. It's not hard, but it's not immediately obvious either, and I know I made a lot of mistakes along the way. :toast: :D

The longer you don't smoke, the less you remember what a smoke tasted like. I've been chasing tobacco flavor for a year. I had a cig a while back and it didn't taste anything like my memory said it would.

Best to find something that tastes "good enough" to keep you off the smokes until you find one that really pleases you.

My biggest issue was getting that lung hit, and the nic level to satisfy my addiction.

After being a cigar smoker for over 15 years, after smoking cigs first, then a pipe, and finally the cigars I welcomed a non-tobacco flavor....but hey we are all different..:thumb:

Andrew, are you using flavor west candy cane or something else? I have used 5% fw cc recently in a 30pg/70vg 3mg nic with no thickening issues, also blended with other flavorings, and even before mixed my flavoring is quite thin also....so ????? I haven't let it sit longer than a week though. Did you get it direct or rebottled?

Mixed a bunch of trial mixes yesterday at higher %'s than what I've been. I ran out of blueberry wild:( so my blueberry/vanilla swirl trial #2 on hold for now, gonna bump bw to 6% and be to 5% I think to see if I can get an even bolder blueberry out of the blend. My dry4 trials are setting, and will be for a bit, but I am excited to try since many like dry4 so much. Used pineapple yesterday too, wow strong stuff, used it last and chucked syringe since seized it up. Still loving mixing, amazing all the variety to make, seems to never get boring.

I have nice glass bottles so i think i can do that. I tried it with rice last nite and it kinda worked. Ill have to do it more cycles. Its crazy that you say they can be a bit funky. I did a mix that was 15ml, 25%PG 75%VG 6% Black Honey Tobacco 3% butterscotch 3% caramel

It came out tasting like black licorice....kinda cool but i hate black licorice. So I am hoping that further steeping will make it better.

I've never used the black honey flavor,so not sure what it's even supposed to taste like, but i have used ry4 double several times, and some people like it fresh, but it makes me feel like i'm going to gag if i vape it fresh, but after a few weeks of steeping or the hot water bath and an overnight sit, then it's like a completely different flavor haha.I prefer the hot water method though, because there is no way i'm waiting weeks to vape the stuff.Hopefully that black licorice flavor will change for you,i'm the same way can't stand the taste of that stuff,i dont even even like the smell of it.
