briandress I'm probably about as new to this as you are (or more so) but I'm pretty sure I remember reading in older TFA posts that Black Honey tobacco is a fairly strong flavor, I think 1%-2% was the max recommended.

I'll poke around a little and see if my memory was right or not.

Wow, not having much luck finding those posts now, but I did a search on the DIY e-liquid subforum for black honey tobacco and got over 1,000 results. I'll need to defer to the more experienced DIY mixers.

I mix .5ml into 9.5ml of base. I've read plenty of people say it is the worst thing they ever vaped, lol.

I use Black Honey in my tobacco mixes, been using for over 3 years, I go between 6-8%. I vape a menthol tobacco mix. Hope this helps.

I've never tried the black honey yet,but i'm willing to bet it's nowhere near as bad as m-type,now that flavor i can without a doubt say is the absolute worst taste from anything i have ever tasted haha.

M-type flavoring is used as a background flavoring in many very popular eliquids. Kept at very low percentages, and mixed with strong flavorings, it can be quite tasty. Agent Orange comes to mind. As a stand alone flavoring, no, of course not, but like so many TFA flavorings, they exist as independent flavorings to be mixed, often aggressively with several other flavorings. Depending on who you talk to, something like 90 - 95% of all TFA flavorings don't make great single flavoring mixes. But, each is useful in its own way, including M-type, which exists in many, many tobacco flavorings as a secondary or tertiary flavoring.

ill have to try another one. I only have a few flavors at the moment. ill have to order some more. I think maybe Ill give bht another shot at a lower ratio. Does anyone know if pg affects the flavor?

I just mixed one that was all vg except for my flavors and nic base, and then 5% flue cured and 2% sweet cream. Lets see how that turns out. Anyone ever tried any of those fast steeping tricks like the cup of rice?

thats so much flavoring! like almost 25% of the mix is flavoring

OK after a week, better after two weeks. I don't think it tastes like licorice but ?? I'm an old smoker.

Huh weird, I was under the assumption that tobacco flavors take far longer to steep than others.

If you want the best of a tobacco flavoring .. give it 4 weeks or longer to do it's thing (mature and change)

Ditto, I like the BH too. I also find it blends well with different fruits.

Old smoker like an old guy? or used to be a smoker? I used to be a pack and a half a day smoker and am still chasing a nice cig taste

not baccos here i went to vape and hit those fruits and creams and melons and then tried a cig taste bacco and thought to my self how could i ever have used it before lol
