I've been working on a Strawberry Cheesecake recipe all day and I'm getting nowhere with it. I've got one or two 100 drop samples that were ok, but not great by any means. It's frustrating because I have a Strawberry Cheesecake juice I just love from quitthatgrit.com and I can't nail down how they get it so creamy. I've tried marshmallow, sweet cream, vanilla bean ice cream, cotton candy, and vanilla custard (not all at once). But, still no luck getting that lovely consistency I'm looking for. I've also used ripe strawberry as well as strawberry and cream flavors. I've even used some Cap flavors (vanilla custard and ny cheesecake) and still no luck nailing it down.
I will persevere! It will make it all that more gratifying when I get it figured out. But, I'm not sure I can do it with only TFA flavors.
I've been tinkering with a "basic cheesecake", though it uses Capella's NY cheesecake flavoring, along with TFA Vanilla Swirl and DX Bavarian; as soon as I can get some Lorann Cream Cheese Icing flavor, I was planning to add a touch of that. The basic recipe isn't bad, but it's really underwhelming; I thought the cream cheese icing would give it some pep.
