Yep thought of that but I generally dont like custard flavors very much and wanna try and avoid diketones as much as possible, Im already making a few exceptions like for Bill's magical butterfinger, lol. Ideally Id like a predominantly fruity, natural, mango taste... Oh! Also Ill be honest Andria Ive passed up your recipe for Strawberries n Cream because I have had such bad experiences getting a good, natural strawberry taste no matter what commercial vendor Ive tried or what recipe Ive used. However after seeing such positivity over your strawberry n cream, would you mind reposting that recipe so I can.give it a whirl?? And also yeah Ill end up posting lotsa my finished product recipes soon as Im done with my minor tweaking. Got some real winners like my pink lemonade and melon blend...

Does anyone know what kind of steep time is needed on TFA energy drink flavor. I made a recipe that I found on here somewhere of 15% energy drink and 5% dragonfruit. The title of recipe was listed as red bull. I made it yesterday. Trying it today, I'm not getting much flavor and what I am getting doesn't taste anything like any energy drink I've tried. I'm hoping it's just a steeping issue. Had such high hopes for this one that I ordered a 4oz bottle without trying it. It tastes like it has sweet and tart in it. Thats the flavor I'm getting on day 2

Yes, and I used Bill's recipes as examples of his advice about the "complementary" flavors balancing the main flavor; that recipe of mine is 16% strawberry flavoring (I use Inawera's shisha strawberry), and another 16% of various creams and sweetener. And actually when I make it, I also use some Flash additive, to really punch up the TH (also the vaperstek Throat Hit Nicotine, and high-PG). It's also a very sweet recipe, so if you prefer juice to not be terribly sweet, you might want to leave off the sweetener; the shisha strawberry and the vanilla swirl are pretty sweet, and I think the Dx Bavarian and Capella's Sweet Cream also add some subtle sweetness.

Haven't tried any citric acid in it yet, but considering I've now used almost 100ml of it this month and the month is only half over, I can see that I need to be mixing in quantities larger than 60ml; clearly I need to get some citric acid, because towards the end of the first 60ml I mixed for March, I did notice that the flavor didn't seem quite as strong.

ETA: Just for convenience, here's the basic recipe:

Inawera Shisha Strawberry 16.0%
TFA DX Bavarian Cream 6.0% (6%-6.2% -- I vary it slightly sometimes)
TFA Vanilla Swirl 4.5% (4%-4.5% -- another one I may vary slightly at times)
CAP Sweet Cream 2.5% (2%-2.5%)
TFA Sweetener 3.0% (2%-4%, but the 4% is REALLY sweet -- it gets a bit much after a while).

The varying is another thing I really like about DIY, because it's true that a flavor that's always the same, your tastebuds kinda go "numb" to it after a while; if you change it up just ever so slightly, it gives your tastebuds something interesting to do -- figure out how it tastes different than the last batch! :D

It's entirely possible that this recipe might be as Bill described his first iteration of his Cinnamon Danish; possibly it would be equally good with half the flavoring! But I love it the way it is, so I don't wanna "fix it" if it ain't "broke." :D

Congrats!!!! You'll be amazed at how cheap you can make juice that's better than what you've been buying. Fair warning though, it CAN be addicting lol
CAN be?? Heck I started DIY 3/4 weeks ago and Ive already mixed over a liter of juices, most of it for new recipes...My old, unused, "PC Desk" suddenly became my "Mixing Station"... and I ended up yanking a heckuva lotta old lab equipment I havent used in over 6 years ago from college outta storage... so yeah...it gets more addictive than the nicotine we vape...

I'm on the verge of a large 4 oz tfa order and have a few questions. I havent tried malted milk, dairy milk, vanilla bean Gelato or any of the TFA french vanillas. I am a huge dessert and vanilla / cream fan and loved vanilla shakes wirh malt as a kid. since it's almost not worth creating another order with wizard labs for samples and since I'm already paying shipping to TFA, should I just spend a few extra dollars each to get big bottles of these unknown entities? They've been out of stock the last few times I placed big orders from WL so I assume they're good.

What would you do? I'm sure they're in stock somewhere else but for barely less with the extra shipping than a 4 oz would cost if I just stuck with tfa directly. Then if I did like them I'd end up getting 4 oz anyways.

It's always better to get small quantities of flavors you haven't tried yet, because everyone's taster is so different -- no matter how many people tell you a flavor is great, when you get it, you may think QUITE the opposite! I personally prefer the Vanilla Swirl to the French Vanilla Creme by a very large margin; I find that a small percentage (3%) of the Malted Milk flavor adds something different, but in high quantity (7%, or more I guess), to me it had a subtle plastic/perfume sort of taste.

When I was still vaping tobacco flavor, someone suggested FlavourArt's Virginia... I thought it tasted like rotten celery.

Capella's Cake Batter smells so hideous, I can't bring myself to use it in anything. I really need to just trash it.

I'm sure that you'll find some flavors that you just can't abide, no matter how great their reviews -- it's worse if you've invested a lot in a flavor, and then find you hate it.

If you're a vanilla fan, you cant go wrong with vanilla swirl, vanilla bean ice cream, the gelato, or the french vanilla deluxe. All great flavors. I use the malted milk as well. Its not a stand alone flavor but works well in milkshake recipes and such. It is best to buy small samples of unknown flavors, but for the few bucks extra they cost I'm a fan of the 4oz. If I get one I dont like there's always the classifieds

Only 1 I didn't care for was vanilla bean Gelato - tasted like plastic. But that could just be me...
You might add vanillin to the list too?

OMG.... all of a sudden, I find I seem to be suffering from the dreaded Vaper's Tongue! OMG! I never really got this, but it's like my brain just flipped a switch or something; none of my 3 regulars really taste... like anything! 8-o The blueberry muffin one, I can sorta taste, but not much; the Smocha, just tastes/smells like smoke; I can't taste the strawberry at all! 8-o

Geez, this is dreadful. Maybe after I eat, I'll be able to taste my vape again.

Yes I started with a bunch of complimentary flavors. The inspiration for my first recipe is going to be L'Occitane's Eau De Baux, my favorite cologne at the moment, which is a sort of woody vanilla tobacco sent.

Water. Water. And more water. Cant drink enough when the VT strikes. I find that brushing my teeth and scrubbing my tongue helps too
