    Somewhere between here and there
Thanks Bill. That sounds like my kind of mixing. I don't have much patience for steeping. I tried some caramel candy at 12% and added 6% Bavarian cream. It's super sweet and I don't really taste caramel much. Maybe I need more caramel flavoring.

Dave's suggestion is a good one for single flavor starting points. However, single flavorings are not going to work about 95% of the time for you. Try some of these mixes with your primary flavors of choice:

Bill as normal your right :toast: One thing I haven't mentioned yet is the calculator I use http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/480587-new-calculator-try.html It has a really neat feature; when you review your ingredients it will show you how many recipes that ingredient is used in as well as the average amount used. Now when I get a new flavor I check for it's single use percentage then check my main recipe file which contains about 200 or so recipes from ECF and other sites to get my starting points. I then move the flavor over to my working recipe file and using those points I now can tweak it to my needs.

Anyone who hasn't tried that calculator needs to as it will do more than any other I've tried. :)

Looks nifty. I'm gonna check it out, thanks!

And the setup file for the calculator is: setup_V5.0.0.7.zip
It is the 9th item of the 10 listed.

Sounds a lot easier and more cost effective than buying all the TFA flavors. For some, it may be too late, but if you're just getting started, you can pick out ten recipes and get all the flavors in a breeze, then find out how many more you can make with those same ingredients. I pretty much want to be able to make whatever I want, any time I want, and because of past commercial sales, once upon a time, I pretty much do have all the TFA flavors, or at least those that I'm interested in. That calculator would have probably saved me a ton when I first started. As I recall, every recipe sounded great, and I remember my weekly orders were in the $80 - $100 range for a good long while, until suddenly, I had all the flavors. Great suggestion, and very helpful! :toast: :D

Ok, I performed the experiment I mentioned, which turns out to be somewhat of a mix between Flamingo and Cream Fantastico -- and it's great!

    Fruit n Cream Fantastique
Many thanks to Bill's Magic Vapor for Cream Fantastico,
on which this recipe is based.

    TFA Blueberry Extra - 8%
    TFA Juicy Peach - 6%
INW Shisha Strawberry - 6% (any SWEET strawberry)
    INW Shisha Coconut - 2.5%
    TFA Vanilla Swirl - 5%
TFA DX Bavarian Cream - 4%
(10%) Ethyl Maltol - 3% (or Cotton Candy)
    TFA Sweetener - 5%

Originally the TFA Sweetener was at 3%, but it wasn't sweet to me at all, so I upped it to 4%, still not really sweet, so now it's 5% -- others may be fine with the original 3%.

I had to substitute 10% ethyl maltol, since I don't have cotton candy (except for MBV's Cotton Candy flavor, which smells WEIRD, so I'd rather use the EM).

I'm using the INW shisha flavors because that's what I have; for the strawberry, any SWEET strawberry should do fine. Can't say anything about other coconut flavors; someone was kind enough to PIF me 3 samples, Hangsen, INW Koncentrat, and INW shisha coconut; I liked the shisha the best.

This recipe is very high in flavoring, so it's possible that some of the fruit flavors could be brought down just a tad, to make it more balanced with the cream flavors; I'll be experimenting with that.

Just got my flavors in from TFA and wizard labs last week. Right now concentrating on finding an all day vape from previous posts recepies and down the road will experiment tweeking my own.
Loving Bills dutch apple pie and monkey business. Both going into the daily rotation. Also whoever it was that posted the fruity COPYRIGHTDMCA recepie hit it spot on. Smells and taste exactly like the cereal. Made that for my wife but might steal it back from her.

Jay, or you could make more....
Well I could but if I recall correctly the berry crunch is 12%. Only got the small 8 ml sample bottle so not sure if I want to make same thing or try remaining bottle to experiment with. Not placing my next order until I know everything I want to order so I can get bigger bottles.

I made Bill'Magic Vapor Peach Danish tonight. All I can say is OMG, I paid premimum bucks for juices like this last year.
And, I'm sensitive to PG and found the most I can handle is 20%. So I chose this juice to make as it was 20% max PG.

    Peach Danish:

    Peach 8%
    Vanilla Custard 4%
    Brown Sugar 2%
    Butter 2%
    Sweetener 2%
    Waffle 1%
    Sweet Cream 1%

Note...I did use FW Vanilla Custard because I couldn't find my TPA Vanilla Custard.

alright I'm almost ready to go View attachment 422169

I can't tell what flavors those are,but definitely looks like your off to a good start.Actually alot better start than i had haha,i didn't really know what to get or what i was doing when i started,so i got a bottle of pg,some nic in vg,5 flavors, and 2 syringes. It worked though,so what you have to start with should definitely work out well.Just be warned, buying new flavors is just as addictive as the nicotine haha.I started with just the 5,and in less than a year i am up close to 100 or so haha.

I am wondering why I have not been hang'n in here as this looks to be something that I should be subscribing to, so I will.
Done. TPA is the brand I use. I need to make a bottle of what I call "Peanut Brittle"
    6% TPA Peanut Butter
    6% TPA RY4 Double
    1% TPA Sweetener
Some time I leave out the sweetener as the RY4 dbl is a bit sweet.
It took me a week to start DIY'n after starting to vape, 3 year ago.

I'm vaping on the sample i made of this, and it is very good.Definitely making a larger bottle of it this weekend. Thanks for posting it.

I think I need to give the RY4 types another chance; .... I didn't like them at all, at first, they were far too sweet to my palate, but now I actually prefer a much sweeter taste, if I vape anything remotely tobacco-ish. Any recipe suggestions, for something likethis? -- something maybe faintly tobacco-ish, but sweet and soft on the palate?
    Andria

I like this and it seems to fit your description well
    2/10 ml RY4
    2 drops Type M
    10 ml PG/VG

It is a ADV for me, great taste and very low gunk too.

    This thing is awesome!
Takes a few min. to set up, but way more features.
    My new calculator!
Thanks Dave and thanks HotRod for all the effort you put into making this!!

Strange situation here, I downloaded and tried to install then my Norton I.S marked it as unsafe and removed it.
    Anyone else have this problem?

Glad you like it K Omo! I think you could easily tweak my recipes, and other recipes on this thread, that exceed the 20% PG maximum for you, but carefully adjusting the percentages down, while staying pretty close to the recipe ratios. There will be a little less flavor, and you may may add perhaps a 24 hour steeping process, but, otherwise, you should probably be okay. All of my recipes over the last couple of years have flavoring between 20% and 31%. My maximum PG ratio is generally 30%, so I targeted my ingredients to be there or below, but I could probably reformulate 95% of them to work at 20% max PG. Give it a try, experiment, and sooner than you think, you'll get a feel for these adjustments, the mixing ratios of secondary flavorings, and mixing ratios of primary and secondary flavorings, and it'll become quite second nature. The key is to just jump in and start mixing 100DT test batches. After about fifty 100DT's, you'll have the experience you need to do this without even thinking about it, and it'll be second nature to you. Just dive in! It's how we all learned, pretty much. So, good luck to you! Glad you like the juice. Vape Strong, my friend! :toast: :D

I might try that, to have something other than the 'Smocha' to give me a rest from the very sweet fruity stuff I like. :thumb:

But I don't understand your notation; do you not have it as percentages? So it can be scaled for quantity?
