The Flavor Apprentice Flavoring Thread

I've been running out of my most used flavors (VBIC, Honeydew, Sweet Cream, Vanilla Swirl, etc) and a few others and just realized how the honeydew costs more than twice as much as the average flavor (in basically any size). Has anyone else noticed this?

I think I've decided that I am no longer going to be giving away my DIY honeydew to friends. I may have to start charging them the cost of the materials or just keep that recipe to myself ... yow.

That may be because it is a strong flavor. I never use more than 2% in any mix I do with it. A little goes a long way with that particular concentrate, at least that has been my experience.

Well I used up all my Peanut Butter and RY4 Double (4oz). Got some more yesterday, DX Peanut Butter this time. Smells a bit different, more peanut like I think. Yet to try it. I like the new bottles, PET is the next best thing to glass (IMO).

It's pretty good right now but next batch will get a little butter and the sweetener brought down to 2%. If you tweak it Joe let me know if you have good results. My first batch had to much pecan and the vape was dry.

Pecan (TFA) - 5%
Pie Crust (TFA) - 4%
Pralines and Cream (TFA) - 4%
Sweetener (TFA) - 3%
Vanilla Bourbon (TFA) - 2%
Brown Sugar (TFA) - 2%

Awesome! Im gonna have to order every one of those but the sweetener, but as soon as I do ill try it out! Thanks for sharing!

Actually you could just pass on the recipe, instead of making it for them... that way, the cost of the ingredients is theirs.

It's hard for me to say, it seems that most of my juices gunk up quite a bit because I usually use quite a bit of sweetener. But more often than not, I run RDAs, so I don't sweat it too much. Just yank the wicks, dry burn, rewick and juice it up again!

Same for me -- that's why I've gone pretty much entirely to RDAs -- I *like* sweet ejuice!

I don't provide them their regular supply of liquid. It is mostly an occasional treat. maybe I will give them different mixes

Heh... I came up with that awesome strawberry & cream, a few around here have tried it, and it's really amazing; I don't mind sharing my recipes, but make it for someone? Umm... I don't have liability insurance. Thankfully I don't know any other vapers, IRL.

Juicy Peach - 5%
Cotton Candy - 5%
Brown Sugar - 5%

Smells DIVINE!!!! Haven't loaded any up yet, but I'm looking forward to it. All six are "new" for me.

It's mine! The wife mentioned the flavoring, and that's what I came up with several years ago. Enjoy!

BTW, Pecan Pie, Dragon's Blood, Chocolate Milkshake, and Flamingo are mine as well. OR, at least I have recipes with those same names....all in dropbox. Enjoy!!

Indeed. Yes, an early recipe, pre-HFM, and not nuanced. Accordingly, it can be improved upon, and steeping is one method to improve upon a bad mix, though non-ATM mixes rarely become great. There, I said it!

I'm all Taifun GT2's these days (AFC).....ahhhhh.....much better. Really wish I had a Gandalf Pipe.....I gave up the search for one some time back.....and I'm talking about a Vaping Pipe, not an actual pipe! I do note that when Gandalf smokes his pipe, with whatever magical mix he uses, the look of satisfaction on his face is, well, the same as mine when I vape......Nothing like it!

I am in the business world a lot these days, and I vape like a fiend while doing business.....you should see the looks I get! Oh, it's good to be back. Hope I CAN stay a while! Good to see all of you too! This thread just keeps plugging away.....we must be doing something right! Right?!!!
