Glad you are enjoying your first mix! Fruit only mixes don't usually change a whole lot with steeping so what you got is what you get. Your hooked

That's not what people were saying to you. Shaking the heck out of your mix to blend the flavors will create air bubbles in your mix and some times even a little froth on top. Let it then sit sons cap for the air and any thing else that wants to to escape. It is not done intentionally to add air bubbles.

Yeah I appreciate that but I thought in theory this would provide a much easier way of mixing compared to shaking and it seems to have worked. I guess it may seem unnecessary but that's just the route my chef's brain has led me down :rickroll:

It's not just mixing the contents. Shaking (or frothing) not only throughly mixes, but also aerates the contents, & creates thousands of tiny bubbles that help carry out chemical aromas when you leave the lid & tip off & allow your mixture to breathe. When well done, your liquid will appear cloudy because of the bubbles. Let it sit for a bit until the bubbles are gone, then cap it again, & steep or vape. "Pushing " big air bubbles through your mix will not accomplish what needs to happen. The molecules need to really mingle & then get happy together which is why you should shake it like crazy or froth it. Or you can ignore all of the excellent chefs here who have been doing this for many years now, & go do your own thing.

Interesting that you came up with that idea. That's what I always do myself. After I mix juice the first thing I do is use the dripper top to blow a bunch of air through the liquid for a few minutes. Just seemed like that would get everything stirred up good.

I always figured, especially if you make a bottle of juice that's almost full, that blowing bubbles through the juice was a good way of getting all the constituents more or less evenly spread out through the body of the juice. After that it would be ready for shaking and UC and all the rest.

I had a pleasant experience a few days ago. Back in Oct I made some juice with new flavors. One was Earl Grey Tea. It was a simple first try recipe, 3% EGT and 2% Sweet Cream. I picked 3% because some people in this thread said it was a very strong flavor.

I tried it after 2 or 3 weeks and it was bland and completely tasteless. Put it in the failure box and forgot about it.

I just picked up a dripper for testing purposes. An Igo-l. I asked for dripper recommendations a few months ago, Kenna suggested that one and I finally got around to it - belated thanks Kenna). I started going through old juices to try it out.

The Earl Grey turned out to be really nice. Tried it in a tank and it was still good. I can't put it down now. No idea when between 3 weeks and 10 weeks it went from tasteless to tasty. Don't think I've had a juice take that long to develop before, except tobacco. It's still a little weak so I might try some at 4 or 5% next time.

Any suggestions for other secondary flavors?

Hey sweetie ... all you have to do, is walk down the Coffee/Tea aisle in the grocery store, and you'll find more ideas of what you can add to tea, than you can mix. :w00t:
Just about ANY fruit, to start with, even the flower flavors .. ie Jasmine, Honeysuckle, etc.
Try a touch of peppermint ... add some menthol or kolada for "iced" tea"
Have fun in the lab :p

Much appreciated.

It's kinda funny, I still don't know how the WL nic is. I've been mixing mostly 0mg and what I do nic I've been nic'ing at work. One of the bonuses of working at a shop that makes house juice. :D

Sorry, I'm kinda late to the party.... Some of my first nic was from WL. I didn't have any problems with it. No bitterness/peppery-ness. I've been using MFS nic most recently (I was getting better prices than from WL)

Well, it did this to a week-old rewick of triple-twisted 28g:

View attachment 521509

I won't be using it again. My throat still hurts from that nasty hit last night.

ETA: I was running at 30W and as previously stated coil went from .32 to .59 in a matter of hours.

I find vanilla-based flavors don't do well for *me* at higher wattages. I don't really care for the vanillas much above 15W, if even that high.... (I tootle puff frequently)

So today in my vape Mail I have received

Green apple
Sour
Tutti fruitti
Maraschino cherry
Mango
Key lime pie

Does anyone have any recipes I could follow please?
I don't know of any recipes using those, but i can tell you,go very easy with that Maraschino cherry,it is a very strong flavor and just a little too much will give you the Robitussin cough syrup taste.

Ok thank you! I'll be careful with that one! I plan on using it for a bake well type flavour in the future so I'll make sure I remember

I would try 10% and go from there. I've never used vanilla cupcake that high.
