I use both sub ohm and lower wattage. I probably use less because I still mix at higher mg. Even on my sub ohm set ups I'm running around 20mg. I have actually cut back from 24mg in my sub ohm setups. I recently mixed down to 15mg in one and seem to be doing ok with it.
That's what i have done too.People thought i was crazy running 18mg in a dripper with a .3 ohm coil setup haha, but it keeps me at a low daily juice usage, and it wasn't a bad vape like most think it would be.I dropped to 12mg a few months ago,and same thing,i use it in everything,i don't lower my nic for certain devices.I have noticed since dropping to 12mg,i use a bit more juice than i did at 18mg,but not by much.At 18mg,i went through maybe 3.5 ml a day,now at 12mg,i use maybe 4-4.5 ml,still a pretty low usage compared to some people.

Once the so-called tank crackers are mixed in complete solution, there's only three or four that will eat through plastic.

First, thank you for your very helpful info. about the plastic cracking list I made from info. found on another website. Your mixing information will be a huge help to me! I knew there had to be some way to use many of those without a problem...because your Part 1 & 2 Recipes have lots of them in them! Figured you wouldn't give recipes that could/should only be used in glass tanks, and not plastic, without noting that. I want to be able to make many of your recipes I had saved as "Bill's Recipes I Want to Make", but I still use the Innokin 16D tanks a lot, which are plastic. Now I can mix the flavorings as above and still be able to use them in those tanks. Yippee!

But, could you tell me which 3 or 4 absolutely will eat through plastic, as mentioned in your quote?

Thanks!

Wouldn't it be great if I could remember all the tank crackers? Unfortunately, I cannot. But, most of the list of tank crackers provided against the list I provided will reveal some of the tank crackers. I don't keep as detailed of notes on the recipes that fail compared to the ones that succeed, so I can't even refer to my notes to help answer your question any better than I have. Best of luck! :2c: :toast: :D

That ^ is a great question.

Well, I made a mix that included 3% of the extract and it turned out delish! Not seeing any problems with oil from the ground beans used for the coffee extract.

Since I am just starting to buy flavors (50ish), I have been putting the inventory on a spreadsheet. I have a needs list for hopeful recipes and when I get them I update the inventory and the recipe page.

The inventory is by maker, but I can just alphabetize the flavor name column. Anyway, before I go digging for a flavor, I can see if I have it.

I do that on the e-liquid recipes website. I can go to my stash and see what I have or delete something if I run out. I can then look at recipes and if I see a flavor I want to get I can add it to my shopping list so I know to get it.

Thanks, that list I'd seen. Looks like practically every flavor under the sun is on it. I'm guessing it's some of the flavors that they have in common.

I was looking for a TFA list. My primary tanks are all glass but I do have a Kayfun I have the acrylic tank in so I can see to fill it.
That list should apply for any brand. The nature of the beast.

Here's a list I made from a FL website that sells TFA flavorings. These were all marked with an * indicating "Known to crack plastic tanks":

Absinthe
Almond Amaretto
Black Currant
Blueberry
Blueberry Candy
Chai Tea
Cherry Blossom
Cherry Extract
Chicken & Waffles
Cinnamon Crimson Hots
Cinnamon Danish
Cinnamon Spice
Citrus Punch
Clove
Cola
Cola Cherry
Cola Syrup
Creme de Menthe
Dill Pickle
Earl Grey Tea
Ginger Ale
Graham Cracker (Clear)
Grapefruit
Greek Yogurt
Green Apple
Gummy Candy
Holiday Spice
Honeysuckle
Hypno Type
Kettle Corn
Key Lime
Lemon
Lemon Lime
Malic Acid (Sour)
Mango
Maraschino Cherry (PG)
Milk Chocolate
Mojito
Nectarine
Orange Cream
Peach
Peach Juicy
Pear
Pineapple
Rainbow Sherbert
Ripe Banana
Root Beer
Root Beer Float
RY4 Double
Smooth
Sour
Spearmint
Sweet & Tart
Tangerine (oil based)
Vanilla Bean ice Cream
Vanilla Custard
Wintergreen
I can see all of those being cracky except the VBIC, VC, & Greek Yogurt. Maybe the yogurt. I have a blueberry cream that I've used in my KF's without a problem. So far.

I'm at 18mg & don't lower my nic either. I seldom use a dripper unless it's for a flavor I know I won't use much of at a time. And I don't chain vape at 18mg. I tried lowering my nic to 12mg for awhile & found myself chain vaping. Raised it back up & that stopped. Now that I'm making my own I can drop my nic level gradually.

If you like the form factor of the 16d but want a glass tank you might consider the K1 from Aspire. I use those for my peppermint ice. When I started vaping I started with the 2 Nautilus tanks, so the K1 was a natural for me. It uses a smaller coil than the Nautilus, but the same wick, & coil style.

I use a spreadsheet to track my flavors, also. It's sorted Alphabetically with a column for brands. I can have several brands in the same flavor. I color code it by what I have, what I want but don't have yet, & what I need to reorder. There is a column for flavor notes, also.

@Kenna , I never even tried over 6mg! I started with a Kanger Subtank Mini and it's still my primary tank. I have a couple others now, an Aspire Atlantis being my second primary tank. I have a couple K1 clones that I use on an Eleaf iStick 30 when I want a small traveling descrete vape and really like those little tanks. They are nice for the size and a glass tank. And with the 1.8 ohm coils or whatever they are, they vape nice and don't really eat a ton of juice.

I read somewhere that as long as you use a paper filter that the oils won't get through.

I went through my flavors tonight and am finally making myself write an alphabetical list.

I believe you are right hittman. The paper filter did seem to take on the majority of the oils.

I never used to use drippers much at all,but then i started using bottom feed mods,so they became an all the time thing for me.I didn't have to many issues going from 18mg to 12mg,but my first drop was about a year and half ago,i went from 24mg to 18mg,and that one was horrible.Even with chain vaping,i was getting shaky, very irritated and horrible withdraw symptoms.I was nervous about making my second drop because i thought i would go through that again, but it turned out ok this time,i used more juice for the first week or so,but gradually slowed down some.I thought of going more gradually with it,but i win juice sometimes in contests and wanted to stick with the same levels that most vendors offer,so if i win some,i can get it in the mg i use instead of having to go up or down.I like 12mg though,so i doubt i will drop any more now,it seems to be my happy spot haha.

I started at 24 mg. After a few months it started to feel like it was too much somehow. I dropped to 18mg h was fine again. That went so easily that I gave it a few months & tried dropping to 12mg. That's when the chain vaping began. Went back to 18 & that stopped. Now that I diy more I'll be able to adust down more easily & slower so maybe my body won't notice the drop as much. I just want to make my nic last longer.

Yes, 18mg to 12 mg is a 33% drop. I went to 15mg by mixing 18 and 12mg together. I only did it with about 6-7 flavors that I knew I liked. I ended up with about 400 total ml of juice. By the time I got through that, I just went to 12mg.

Whenever I switched, I new I would vape a little more for a week or so, but life just gets in the way. I get busy and forgetful. I might vape a whole ML after dinner and maybe a full ml prepping for work, but during the day I am only 1.5-2 ml.

Speaking of dropping down, from 12 to 6mg is a 50% drop. I did the same thing by mixing 6 and 12mg to get 9mg. I am making 1.5 mg now and am forgetting more often.
