I'm here, when I'm here
Hope I don't get "slapped" for posting this here...but I don't know how many DIYers check the Deals & Steals thread. Maybe I can just say that if you like WL, you may want to check the thread, on page 203.

@Simply Red - Ha Ha....very funny! ;)

@jwitfield - The sale is 10% off, not 15%...unless you found a different one for them.

I even ordered some more Nic Base and flavorings myself from them yesterday, because of the sale. I was alittle bummed when I saw the sale though, because 2 days earlier...I'd placed a $95+ order from them when there was NO sale going on.

I can see the problem with different juices taking different flavoring percentages. But if you have a few ADVs, there is one nice shortcut. You can mix up a bottle of the flavorings. I know Bill did or still does it that way. Then it's just measure out the percent of flavoring to a bottle, add PG/VG/Nic and you're set. :thumb:

I probably didn't explain it well. If you don't understand what I mean, just ask. :)

Yes Ma'am - that's exactly what I meant. I mix max VG, so after I pull flavors, I drop my nic and the rest VG :)

I plugged in 240 ml, 6mg nic, 50/50 pg/VG and 22%pg flavoring into a juice calculator and it gave me how much nic/pg/vg to mix for 240mls. So then I'd just add the flavoring to whatever bottle size I was mixing up, finish it with the base liquid then shake. But somewhere I read that when I finished, my nic wasn't at 6mg. I'm not too .... about the pg/vg ratio as long as I don't go over 65%vg.

Yyour nic is being diluted by the flavoring when you add them. So your nic is below 6mg after adding flavors.

So to arrive at 6mg after its mixed I should adjust it to maybe 8 or 9? Or just not add the nic to the base?
I don't mix that way. I vape 50/50 at 16 - 18mg. I would treat the nic like another flavor & add it separately. Or mix a pg/vg base & as you said, raise the nic level, so when you add 20% flavoring it comes out at 6%. No idea how much to raise it. I don't have a juice calculator on my phone.

I think I'll just start doing like you said first and treat it like another flavor. I generally mix in 30, 50 or 15ml so I can always add the nic first, then the flavorings then fill the bottle to the shoulders with the pg/vg base. Thanks!

Lynn, I was pet sitting a nippy little Corgi yesterday when I replied to you so I don't think I was clear about your base mixing post. You said you used a calculator to figure flavors, nic & base for 240 ml. Where the nic can get off balance is when you start breaking it down into smaller bottles of different sizes with 22% flavor each. Once you start changing to different size bottles & more or less flavoring per recipe thatvs where the difference happens. With pg/vg base it won't change much. But the nic level would be effected by bottle size, & variations in actual flavoring added. Sorry if I didn't make sense last night.

You made perfect sense at least to me you did. I'm not too .... about my pg/vg staying at 50/50 as long as the vg doesn't go over 65% and it won't because my flavorings are all pg based. However, before when I added the nic to my pg/vg base and mixed from there I know my nic level was going down. With your suggestion, I add the amount of nic for each bottle size, then add flavors according to the amount on the calculator, then fill the rest with my pg/vg base I've already mixed up. :thumb:

Whew! I was worried I'd totally confused things!
