For those who don't know/use Essential Depot, this is the email I received...

As of August 1st 2016 the price of Essential Depot's 4 Gallon VG and PG GlyCubes are going up by a minimum of 13% (from $39.00 to at least $44.00). As VG/PG customer I wanted to give you the chance to stock up and beat the price increases.

To order visit -> USP KOSHER Pharmaceutical Grade VG and PG - Drums and Glycubes. Glycubes only $39.00 until midnight ESTSunday

The upcoming Feb 2017 Federal E-Cig Regulations have caused a spike in sales to the 5000+ vape Shops we supply. The associated demand spike across the industry has caused VG and PG prices to go up significantly. Our manufacturer and supplier is giving us one more week to purchase at our current price. Please help keep your price as low as possible by ordering at the current price beforeAugust 1st.

Thank you again for being an Essential Depot customer.

Wow! That sucks! Wish I had room to get one before!

If I put anymore in my Mrs.'s section of our walk-in closet, she's gonna be upset. :D

If you look at the pv/vg specials(click button - right side of ED's home page)you can get two gallons shipped free. Mix and match.

How can the regs possibly affect a commodity like VG? It's used in all kinds of industry other than vaping. People panicking maybe?
Maybe, but I believe the thinking is better safe than sorry......People just do not trust what the powers in charge might do......rumor or not....paranoid or not.....

I believe ED has an expiration date on their PG/VG. I will take my chances on the price going up rather than buy something I do not need right now.
I read a while back that those are not expiration dates, but they are retest dates for the manufacturer/supplier.If they still have the product on/near that date, they retest and if still good, the date goes another 2 years.

I reckon I'm safe with the 3 gallons of VG and 1 gallon of PG I have. :D

I have some that is 3 years old and it is still fine.

This is probably going to push me over the edge for a cube even though I have enough for 12 - 16 months already.......

That is not what I read on the label. It clearly states "Use By ...."
Wizard Labs also puts a "Best By" Dates on their bottles regardless of the size.

Mine is also OK, but there must be a reason why they put an expiration date on the bottle.

I wasn't saying it can't go bad,i have heard vg can turn sour after some time, and i can't remember where i read that about a retest date,it was from one of the manufactures sites about a year ago though.

I read somewhere that the 2 year date is some kind of industry standard. Driven more by lawyers than by chemistry. Most products that last a long time are given a 2 year date, for legal cover. It may be good for 20 years kept in a cool dark place, but someone might keep it on a south facing windowsill and the company doesn't want to be liable. So it may not mean much in reality.

Hey y'all... long time no post. ;)
Thought I'd drop by and let y'all in on my latest creation... I'm having a hard time putting this one down!
I made my own concentrate for this one! :D
Put 2 tsp loose tea (I used organic Rooibos from The Tea Spot) in 30mL PG. Shake daily for the first week, then steep for another week. Strain through coffee filter and discard tea leaves.

Then:
Rockin' Rooibos
Tea concentrate - 15%
TFA Sweet Cream - 6.5%
TFA Honey - 1.5%
Sweetener - 2%
Give it a good shake, and it should be ready to vape! :)
The sweet cream and honey aren't very pronounced, but give a good accent to the tea. I've already gone through about 50mL of this one, and will be mixing up a bit more tonight!
