Robin, are you doing all your elliptical miles consecutively now?

It's going to be 37 degrees, cloudy with light wind at 9am tomorrow.. I need a break from the elliptical but brrrrrr! I have under armour but I'm still gonna have to talk myself into it.

Yesterday, no. Today I did. I am trying to do them more consecutively. Seems I can about every third day or so.

I tried jogging down my MIL's driveway just to get her mail... It pounds! ROFL That is just so jarring. I am not a jogger ;)

I don't know how you can get motivated to run out in the cold

the idea is to be driven to a destination, dropped off, and then you will have the motivation to run home :)

Weight this morning: 138 even after eating 3(!) slices of pizza for dinner. Had enough calories banked. I lost .2 lbs. Wooot

The program dropped my caloric intake to 1300 today. Down from 1313 yesterday.

Goal: 4 miles. Have stuff to do at MIL's house so I might try to get more in later.

Did 5 miles! Ha!

Time: 46:34 Speed avg: 52 rpm
Pretty much 6.0 on speed. This thing doesn't give me an avg for speed, just the rpm

Hips are fine today :)
Leg muscles are still tight though LOL
I know when I overdo things... dancing, walking etc... my hips will bother me for a bit. I have gotten used to this. A minor irritation and worth the price to keep doing what I want to do. I just know to let them rest for a day after. Better to use them than lose the ability.

I am downloading a program that Rick uses. It's called Diet Power. I'm going to try it out. :)

Bridget, have you ever tried taking Triple Omega? It's a Nature Made product. I need to start taking that again. It really seems to help my joints. Contains fish, flaxseed, safflower and olive oils. I don't get a fishy aftertaste from this stuff. Seems to work.

I've been meaning to reply to this..I'll ask Chooch what she's taking again and post. Chooch was a pro tennis player in her youth. I'll post that stuff later Robin.

Hey, Robino! :) Although I was "pro" tennis for about 25 yrs, I wasn't a PRO by any means. However, sometimes 30 hrs a week on hard courts can sure do a number on your bod; and my hips and knees started going. At dau's suggestion started taking glucosamine. Even found out that youngest dau gives it to her old dogs with hip problems. Anyway, been taking plain ol' glucosamine from Walmart for 15-17 years now, and very much know within the week if I've forgotten to take it. My fingers aren't as stiff either.

It'll take a bit of time taking it (1-2 wks) before you'll notice difference. I've been taking just one tablet a day, but afraid am going to have to start taking two as is suggested on directions. I dislike taking pills of any kind, but I dislike bumping down the stairs on my fanny more because my knees are so painful! :p

Thanks Choochoo!! :D I will look at that. Triple Omega does a pretty good job too.
I think Hubby's SIL recommended that to Hubby's mom. I will give it a shot. :)

I've heard close physical contact with big cats is the surest remedy...
