Well I lost everything that I had gained the day before. Back down to where I was two days ago. I guess my body needed that break yesterday LOL.

We are going out to look at houses today. I plan to do some elliptical work tonight. I might just see if I can do the one installed program. The one time I tried, it was early in my elliptical career (lol) and I only made it half way through. Thought I was gonna die!

Who knows, I might make it farther :D

For dinner tonight, I am going to try the Boca Burgers.

Had to look up boca burgers.. That would never fly at my house, lol!

I can't do the installed programs on my elliptical. Too much resistance for my knees.

Thinking of moving Robin?

We've been renting all this time. No pool here and I want a pool! It is not quite the same having to go to his mom's house and I think Rick would actually use it more if we had one in our back yard. Plus, with his mom getting up in age, should she need to move in with us, we would love to have enough room for her and still have a guest room ;) Not giving up the exercise room!

We are just looking at a new build that sounds incredibly priced. Probably to get people to start moving into a new development. I am so ready to have a house that I can call my own. Although renting has worked out since we were able to move without having to sell something first  I'm ready to settle down, finally..... I think.

There is no rhyme nor reason to my weight loss/gain. The days I think I'll lose I gain. And some days I eat poorly and lose. Makes no sense but I try not to overthink it much. Same thing happens with my coworker.

Let us know how those boca burgers taste Robin. I had to look them up as well.

I'm doing great on food but poorly on exercise. Curious to know what a typical day is for y'all on food. For me breakfast is a protein bar, banana, hard boiled egg, almonds and coconut oil in my coffee. Lunch has been one of those Tuna Creations packages with a hard boiled egg and cottage cheese and dill pickle (or salad with some kind of protein), and dinner for me is a hamburger patty and cottage cheese and more almonds or tilapia and a salad or spaghetti with whole grain noodles or steak and salad. Snacks of green or black olives and pickles or Beanitos or almonds or raw sugar snap peas. I'm trying to keep it boring so I don't focus so much on food. And boring is easy to pack each day for work. I like to grab and go. Eat to live instead of live to eat sort of thing. But it is getting TOO boring.

How exciting on the house hunt! I love looking at houses. I like looking on realtor.com to see how others live...

I gotta get my .... on the treadmill today. I can't seem to get going this morning...

Ah.... um ..... Eating habits...

Well.. erm.... ah

I suck

About the time I think I can eat something for breakfast...it is usually almost lunch time.
Lunch... half a sandwich or a bigger meal.. No rhyme or reason to my insanity
Dinner: Last night I made salmon cakes/patties and pasta. I don't make too much pasta, usually two servings total and I take less than a serving and let hubby have the rest. I had two salmon cakes. I use Special K instead of crackers when I make them. Fried in olive oil and a couple of pats of butter for more flavor.

Recipe Salmon cakes:

Makes six cakes
2 5oz cans of Chicken of the Sea Pink Salmon: Pink Salmon, Skinless & Boneless | Chicken of the Sea
1 whole egg
1 egg white
8 cups of Special K cereal

Dump the 2 cans of salmon in a large mixing bowl
add egg and egg white
mix together a bit
dump 8 cups of cereal into the bowl
get your hands really messy and just start crunching down the cereal until it is all incorporated

Heat a pan with about 6 tablespoons of olive oil and about 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter
Shape 6 balls of salmon from the mixture. I make up the balls so that I can get about an even size ball. 6 makes them to be good sized patties.
Shape the balls into patties.
Fry until nicely browned on each side.

I pop them on a microwave safe plate after frying and stick them in the microwave for one minute just to make sure they are heated through the middle. Rick always did this so I continue to do the same LOL

While the salmon is in the microwave, I drain the pasta and add a tablespoon of butter or so to the pasta in the pan.

Dinner time :D

I seem to lose weight whenever we have this meal. It is filling but not fattening. I always eat two salmon cakes and some pasta. Rick eats two and he has the last two for lunch the next day.

ETA: If you find you need more oil in the pan, go ahead and add it. The salmon absorbs some. I just guessed on the amount to start with. I just dump it into the pan and don't measure.

188.5 today. Seem to be stuck around that weight, but I do need to stay with this.
Sitting in the 'Clinic' through lunchtime didn't help yesterday. I was so hungry I felt ill, so I went next door. to Bojangles. For Chicken Strips and Seasoned Fries. After not eating that sort of thing, the grease that food is cooked in actually stinks. But a Man has to eat ....

To be honest my eating varies so much its hard to say. If I want something, I'll have it, no matter what it is, I just plan accordingly for the rest of the day and eat a smaller portion.

Like that fantastic burger from tgi Fridays. I can't pass up a good burger most times, so the next day I ate a bit less. I am of the "life's too short" opinion so if I want a brownie I'll make them, and just make something less carb/ calorie loaded for dinner.

I'm having a hard time getting the rest of the family acclimated to the lower calorie meals. Usually have to make separate things for them and I, or just deal with higher calories and taking a smaller portion. Hubby eats a pb&j every night before bed no matter what we had so I'm finding it hard not to snack when he's doing that.

Overall I have about 4-5 cups of coffee a day. 4-5 16oz waters. Little to no breakfast except Sundays. Lunches are leftovers or a salad. Dinners range anywhere from fish and veggies to casseroles to crock pot meals. I always have to make potatoes rice or something like that to go with it to keep "meat and potatoes man" happy. I usually just take a small serving of that, I prefer meats to fill up for the protein and I just like it better.

I so get that always! My son won't eat what I eat most days so I'm having to make two separate meals. Last night was Friday night pizza night and I didn't eat one bite but instead made two scrambled eggs with cheese for myself. I eat a lot of eggs. I graze and eat something at least every three hours even if I'm not hungry. My breakfast list is spread out over the entire morning most days. I'm constantly eating it seems. I'm struggling with eating all the vitamins and nutrients my body needs like carbs. But eating carbs will make you fat...but not enough is not healthy. *sigh* Same with getting enough calories to sustain. Just sleeping can burn almost 500 calories! I don't eat bread or rice or pasta or potatoes and typically I stay away from most fruits due to the sugar content. But bananas have carbs so I started incorporating more of them. My main goal is to stay away from sugar, and eat a lot of protein. I've learned so much about food the past year but it makes my head spin.

Oh I love my carbs don't get me wrong. But I don't have as hard a time if I just have a little instead of a lot. If meat wasn't so expensive I'd be a lot happier. I love fish and shrimp and all those healthy foods but the cost prohibits what we buy, so I eat a lot more hot dogs, pork, sausage etc than I'd prefer

I did that when my son was younger. Now there is nothing left on his plate! ;)

A great side effect of losing my weight and eating healthy is I no longer have indigestion or reflux. :)

So I made tuna salad for lunch...more tuna and eggs. But I'm not big on fish and never have been. I can tolerate tilapia but I could also go a lifetime without eating any fish. But I love tuna. Gives me my omegas. A coworker warmed up his fish in the microwave at work the other day and I almost barfed! Gawd awful smell wafting through the office. Ruined my appetite that day.

I really need to get up off my .... and do something..............

One of my biggest problems has been eating the kids food when they're done. I grew up on food stamps and limited food, so I am weird about wasting anything. Its been a hard habit to break and I know its adding a ton of extra calories

Hi all , I want to chime in and say I am excited about being 5 lbs down at 171.6 today from where I started :)
I went to the gym this morning and did a jog/run for 2 miles then sauna 10 minutes .

I am doing the my fitness pal recommendation of 1310 calories per day .
Breakfast -I usually have a pack of brown sugar oatmeal and 1 cup of coffee with flavoured creamer (Today I treated myself to a sausage mcmuffin and coffee)
Lunch- a turkey sandwich on whole grain bread I do use mayo but limit myself to 1 tablespoon and raw veggies with ranch dip made with greek yogurt
Snack- yogurt almonds or a cheese stick
Dinner - chicken breast with a bag of Green Giant steamers veggies either sprouts or broccoli or mixed

I am so excited! looking forward to getting out of the 170s :toast:
