What kind of puzzle Robin? To forget about eating and vaping it must have been fun..

Upped my reps on ball exercises (2 sets of 20. 6 exercises) and increased plank (2 sets) time to 45 seconds. Regular 4 miles on the elliptical.

Jigsaw puzzle. I used to do those all the time and Windows 8.1 is not playing nice with the game site that I usually play/download games. So I broke out the jigsaw puzzles. The last one I did, Monday and Tuesday, was one that Rick had made for me for Christmas. It is a google map of the area where we met face to face for the first time. The center of the puzzle was a heart with the coordinates of the exact site

He is definitely the romantic :D Today I started a Christmas puzzle that we got before Christmas and I just hadn't opened it. I have another one that still hasn't been opened yet. I love getting lost in the searching and finding.

Nice. You must be getting "ab-ie". How many times a week do you work abs?

Sprints this morning:
1 mi warm up - 10 min
1 mi sprint - 6:40
10 min cool down walk
1.5 mi sprint - 10:08
10 min cool down walk
1 mile race-pace - 8:30

Total miles: 5.2
Time: ~66 min including my slow jog home from the track

Legs are exhausted, but I feel like today is going to be a good day!
Not horrible considering I'll be 27 * tomorrow.

I can see the difference in my upper abs, not a lot, just a bit. I try for 5 days but usually 4.

Very nice on your run CN. I'm hoping for at least one decent day this week to get outside and run. Not looking too promising tho.

Happy Birthday tomorrow!

Thanks. Not everyone can be 27 4-ever. Plus my GF says that she likes dating younger men. :)

I do hours of ab workouts a week and I can never get anything but my obliques to stand out.

I hate it for you if you guys are getting caught in the ice age that's in the states but I genuinely love to run in the cold. I know this sounds odd but I use the sound of my feet "crunching" through the snow to set my pace. For some reason it's very soothing to me. *shrug*

You'll get it out there! :)

That's hilarious...I too stopped at the age of 27. I've had 23 27th birthdays (just turned 49). I'm also an Aquarius (Feb 10th)...we are the most special sign of the zodiac! WOOT! :)

I've lost about 3 or 4 pounds this week, but I'm still 0.6 pounds up from my lowest weight so I'm happy. But, I want to lose 7.6 more pounds and it's not happening quickly this go round. I am continuing to run every night and I'm developing runner's legs. Love.It.

RJ! We missed your birthday on the Big Thread.. Happy belated birthday! Congrats on your runner's legs too!

CN, I think there's a saying.. 'Abs are made in the kitchen not in the gym"... That's definitely where I fall short.

Exercise today done. Exact repeat of yesterday.

I wasn't sore from the extra reps today, we'll see tomorrow.

I keep a low profile around my birthday Bridget...*snicker*...and thank you.

Lost 0.6 pounds (I'm back down to my lowest weight) so now I need to lose 7 more pounds. It's been a good week for me. Just as long as my weight doesn't creep back up like it has been. I think this second weight loss goal is not as important to me as the first one so I don't take it as seriously. And I'm happy with myself right now. As long as I'm eating healthy and exercising I can't go wrong.

Ro! I was not shocked to hear you say you are a runner too. :) And it sounds like you've got a great 5K time! Badazzery...LOVE IT! I don't use protein powder but I do eat protein bars and lots and lots of eggs and meat. I use Pure Protein bars right now with 20 g...but I'm gonna start buying the Premier Protein bars that have 30 g of protein. I'm all about protein and building muscle right now.

So always is getting an elliptical! WOOT! I love my treadmill and the fact that it's in the house and easy to jump on without a big production. I didn't get down there last night though...:?:...but I've really well with exercising lately so I'm not gonna beat myself up about it. I've never used an elliptical. Let us know how it goes.

Sounds like guiltypleasures is moving downward in the scales. :toast: You are doing GREAT! WOOHOO!!

And Robin and Bridget maintaining...YAY!

:)
